Auston Trusty reflects on his 'special' Celtic honour
Trusty didn't start in his side's 2-0 win over the Portuguese champions, yet returned to the lineup when Newcastle United visited Parkhead on Saturday.
The 26-year-old played until the 62nd minute, when he was replaced by Liam Scales.

Trusty was named man of the match for his performance in the 4-0 rout.
Taking to X after the match, the defender wrote: "Two wins, two clean sheets, and a man of the match performance!
"A great way to close out the week against two strong opponents. As always, incredible support at home today and a special honour wearing the captain armband in Lisbon for Celtic."

Trusty joined Celtic from Sheffield United last summer in a deal reported to be worth £6 million.
He made 37 appearances across all competitions during his first year at the club, despite losing his place in the team to Scales towards the end of the campaign.
Having started pre-season in fine fettle, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the United States international in 2025/26.

However, the wheels came off for Rodgers' men after the break, conceding four goals without reply at Stadio Guiseppe Sinigaglia. I think that the first 60 minutes we played a lot of really good football with physicality, we broke through their pressure, scored one, could have had more. 'I just thought the last 30 minutes, we've pushed the players really hard in the pre-season, so it looked a wee bit leggy. But that aside, we should keep the ball better and can be better in duels, so there's no doubt we lost out on that. Then the two final goals are probably a consequence of that. Celtic are hopeful he can play a part against Al Ahli. 'We were told late on he wasn't registered,' said Rodgers. 'He couldn't play in the game. It was a UEFA game. I think we thought it would be through. So, he obviously came with us and travelled. But then, later on, an hour before the game, we were told he wasn't. 'We hope he'll be okay for Saturday. 'Because then they want to go and play more. But certainly at this stage, where we're at within the squad, it's not something I can even entertain. You see he's starting the games. 'And I see him as an important player for us in our squad. And once we can get the quality around him, then he'll be a good player for us.' Rodgers, meanwhile, has revealed new striker Shin Yamada missed out on the game over a paperwork issue. The hitman was initially named as a substitute before being taken off the team sheet. Rodgers added: 'We were told he wasn't registered and couldn't play in the game. It was a UEFA game. 'I think we thought it would be through so he obviously came with us and travelled.
