Bernard Tomic calls it quits after falling over on match point
And that was no metaphor — he actually fell over.
WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE: Bernard Tomic falls over on match point.
The former world No.17 had match point and a look at American world No.424 Stefan Dostanic's second serve when he lost his footing and tumbled onto the court as his racquet went flying.
Tomic took some time to get up and recompose himself while a nearby supporter could be heard asking if he was OK.
Dostanic went on to win the game, take the set to a tiebreaker, which he won, and then claim the match when Tomic retired hurt after losing the first two games of the third set.

It's a far cry from his former Davis Cup teammate Jordan Thompson, who is enjoying the form of his life in the twilight of his career.
Thompson, whose battling heroics proved the highlight of the Australian challenge at Wimbledon, is to return to action at the Cincinnati Open after a much-needed injury break.
Thompson worked wonders with his beaten-up body to reach the last-16 at the grass-court grand slam, having negotiated two five-set classics and a four-setter even while suffering from a debilitating back injury.
His extraordinary run ended with him, almost inevitably, breaking down and being forced to retire against Taylor Fritz.
He's since grabbed a crucial month's rest and recuperation following a season in which he's been so plagued by a catalogue of injuries that he had even talked at Wimbledon of possibly quitting for the season.
But the indefatigable 'Thommo' will be back in action in the Masters 1000 event at Cincinnati which begins on Friday, after his name featured among eight Australians in the main draws for the traditional star-studded warm-up event before the US Open.
He will join Alex de Minaur and Alexei Popyrin, fresh from their encouraging runs to to the quarter-final at the Canadian Open, as well as Chris O'Connell and Adam Walton in the men's draw, while Daria Kasatkina, Maya Joint and Ajla Tomljanovic will feature in the women's. Thompson, whose ranking has dropped to No.44 in the world, will open up in Cincinnati against a qualifier and will be keen to avoid an early exit that could consign him to a place outside the top 50 for the first time since the start of his breakthrough 2024 season.
De Minaur, who has a first-round bye, will meet the winner of the Hugo Dellien-Reilly Opelka first-round contest in the last-64 while Popyrin will face a qualifier in his second-round opener.
No Australian man has won in Cincinnati since Pat Rafter 27 years ago, and it will be once again the tallest of orders with the game's two biggest names back in the fray.
World No.1 Jannik Sinner and No.2 Carlos Alcaraz are seeded to meet each other in what could be another classic final after they shared triumphs at Wimbledon and Roland Garros respectively.
Both men gave Toronto a miss, with top seed Sinner ready to defend his Cincinnati crown after beating Frances Tiafoe in the final last summer.

Aussie superstar Kaylee McKeown hard launches new relationship with former AFL player Declan Watson
Australian superstar swimmer Kaylee McKeown and former AFL player Declan Watson have gone public with their budding relationship. McKeown, who won another two world titles in Singapore earlier this month, is enjoying a well-deserved break after the world championships. She shared a series of photos of her trip to Uluru, including two snaps with new boyfriend Watson. It's unclear how long the pair have been together but it's the first time they have posted each other on social media. McKeown was previously in a relationship with fellow Aussie swimmer Brendan Smith. They were together for about four years but split up earlier this year. Despite the split, the 24-year-old continued her domination in the backstroke at the world championships. She won the 100m and 200m events, adding to her Olympic gold medals in the same events. And she did it just weeks after suffering a dislocated shoulder. 'I have got a really flexible stroke and it's my benefit when I swim my backstrokes,' she said. 'But sometimes it can cause me to dislocate my shoulder. 'It's been quite irritated but I have got a good medical team and physiotherapists to help me get through. 'I'm really really proud. It's a little bit emotional.' McKeown now has a staggering five Olympic gold and six world championship gold medals, as well as four Commonwealth Games gold medals to undoubtedly be one Australia's best ever swimmers. Watson had a brief AFL career at North Melbourne but never played a game due to a series of injuries. Taken with pick No.34 in the 2016 draft, Watson impressed in the VFL during his first season but suffered an ACL injury in 2017. Another knee injury in 2019 ultimately ended his AFL career with the Kangaroos delisting him at the end of that season. He has since returned home to Brisbane where he works as a lawyer.

Snoop Dogg to Headline AFL Grand Final Pre-Game

Double Gee is heading to the G as Snoop Dogg has been announced as the pre-game performer at the AFL Grand Final, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. on September 27th, 2025. This will be Snoop's biggest Australian show ever, performing in front of 100,000-plus fans at the MCG, Australia's largest stadium. While it's unlikely that he'll be performing with Raygun on stage, the AFL CEO, Andrew Dillon, wants to find a homegrown act to pair with Snoop. 'He's been at the Super Bowl, performed at the Olympics, but he's also very famous for his collaborations, so I think if we're looking for Australian artists, there'll certainly be one who will be featured on grand final day,' he said. Does Snoop Dogg know anything about AFL? No, but Dillon said he's a bit of a Bulldogs fan. 'I understand he follows the Western Bulldogs, so I'm not sure he's necessarily an aficionado, but he certainly knows about the game.' Snoop Dogg | Image: Supplied Katy Perry famously headlined the pre-match entertainment at last year's AFL Grand Final, much to the bemusement of AFL fans. It was such a disaster that our very own Nick Hall wrote an opinion piece, '10 AFL Grand Final Acts That Would Be Better (and Probably Cheaper) Than Katy Perry,' which included names like ONEFOUR, The Whitlams, Silverchair, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and The Chats. Hopefully, one of these artists gets the call-up on stage with Snoop, and the natural fit would be ONEFOUR, who are performing their first Sydney Headline show on September 6th 2025. Snoop will join past performers Perry, Robbie Williams, and The Killers, and the rapper says he's honoured to be here. 'It's an absolute honour to be hitting the stage at the AFL Grand Final,' the artist said in a statement. 'It's one of the biggest events on the Aussie calendar.' 'Can't wait to bring the energy and celebrate with the fans. Let's make it unforgettable.' The federal government previously banned the rapper from entering the country on the grounds of character after he was convicted of drug and firearms offences in the U.S. However, that ban was lifted in 2008, and the rapper has performed in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide as part of his 'I WANNA THANK ME' Tour.
