A 'CoComelon' Movie Is Coming—Here's What We Know So Far
Since it launched as a YouTube channel in 2006, CoComelon has become one of the most iconic kids' shows on the planet. Kids grow up singing the show's songs, and JJ (the main character) might even be your toddler's first best friend.
Now we have another exciting addition to the CoComelon empire: A feature-length movie in the works.
The film won't hit theaters until 2027, but Moonbug Entertainment, which produces CoComelon, just announced that the movie has been greenlit.
There are no details about the plot quite yet, but we do know that the animated film will follow the show's hero, JJ, and friends Cody, Nina, CeCe, and Bella, as well as YoYo, TomTom, and Nico, on a never-before-seen adventure. Given that so much CoComelon content is based around songs, there's a good chance it could be a musical.
This isn't the first time CoComelon dipped its toe into spin-off territory. In fact, there are so many different ways for your kids to enjoy CoComelon while you're waiting for the movie to come out.
New videos are posted to the show's YouTube account every week. The show CoComelon Lane on Netflix focuses on JJ and his friends working through milestones, from learning to take care of a new pet to getting a haircut. There are currently 4 seasons on the show on the streaming platform—the latest one just came out this year.
If you want to take advantage of CoComelon songs, which teach foundational skills like the names of colors, counting, and shapes, without adding too much screen time to your little one's day, there are plenty of CoComelon playlists on Spotify that let you do just that.
Of course, kids will be thrilled to hear JJ and company are getting their movie (and once it's streaming, parents might actually get a break from Moana and Toy Story). But there are other reasons to embrace CoComelon in your life.
The music-based show has a catalogue of songs that can be a helpful aid when it comes to teaching kids important life skills. CoComelon songs cover a range of important topics, including how to use good manners. Several songs also reinforce positive eating habits.
CoComelon both captures kids' attention and educates them, so it's a win for families all around. And with a CoComelon movie on the horizon, you and your toddler can rest assured that JJ and his friends will be sticking around to entertain them for a long time to come.

The orphaned foal refused milk replacer, but Shelby had another plan. She found a nurse mare, or a lactating female horse with no foal to feed, and hoped that the two would connect despite suffering devastating losses. What happened next brought Shelby and thousands of viewers to tears. This mom and baby couldn't be more perfect for one another! These two were meant to be family! This mama horse accepted the new foal with no hesitation or stress, and once the little one latched, she was just as content. It's hard to believe that both of these beautiful horses suffered massive losses just days before they met one another."So how does it work with a nurse mare?" a commenter asked. "She has to have a baby in order to produce milk. Where is her baby? Are they weaned, and you just keep using her to foster other foals?" Baby horses only nurse for the first 4-6 months of life, so producing milk for even longer could be exhausting to a mare. Sadly, this mama horse lost her foal as well, so she's producing milk to feed a baby who's no longer around. That's why these two are a perfect match despite suffering immense heartbreak. It's such a gift to see this moment unfold, but I can only imagine how Shelby and the other equestrians in this video were feeling. This was the silver lining after two tragedies, but it's also the beginning of a beautiful relationship between this adopted mom and daughter. It's heartwarming to see how quickly and naturally these horses have bonded, even if it wasn't Plan A. Nurse mares like this new mom are an absolute gift to the equine world, though she never would have met her foal if it weren't for selfless horse owners like Shelby. Keke Palmer and SZA in "One of Them Days." 'One of Them Days'— a hit buddy comedy sequel starring Keke Palmer and SZA — is getting a sequel produced by Issa Rae. Rated R, One of Them Days opened in theaters on Jan. 17 and made its debut on digital streaming via premium video on demand debut on Feb. 11. After that, One of Them Days debuted on streaming video on demand on Netflix on March 31. Now, following the success of the film in theaters and on streaming, One of Them Days is getting a sequel, Variety reported on Wednesday. According to Variety, a sequel produced by Rae is being developed and the key talent in the film — including Palmer and SZA — is expected to return. The sequel is being set up at Sony Pictures Entertainment subsidiary Tri-Star Pictures, which released One of Them Days, the trade publication reported. One of Them Days marks the feature film directorial debut of Lawrence Lamont. The logline for the film reads, 'When best friends and roommates Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) discover Alyssa's boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.' The film also stars Vanessa Bell Calloway, Lil Rel Howery, Katt Williams, Janelle James and Maude Apatow.
