Maya Jama won huge praise for her hosting skills during Monday night's Love Island final - with fans lauding the star on X. After the final, the star, who has fronted the show since 2022, took to the microblogging site to respond to the adoring viewers. Among the tweets, Maya was praised for one of her interviews and the fact she did not use cue cards - something she was glad had been spotted. The delighted fan penned: '[For real] @MayaJama eating this interview. No card in her hands too. #LoveIsland', to which she revealed a behind-the-scenes insight. Maya replied: 'Cutey! I pride myself on the no Que cards so thankyou for noticing'. Adding to her organic presenting style, the host also hit out at a fan who claimed she should be more unbiased, although she remained defiant in her stance - telling the follower to 'shut up' amid criticism of a tender moment. In 2023, Maya spoke about being the woman for the job as she told British Vogue: 'I've been a fan of the show pretty much since it started. I know everything about it... My role is to deliver information and facts but, because I love it so much, I just want to be their best mate and be like, 'Are you sure you really like that guy?'' 'I'll be as involved as I can.'

Darts presenter Emma Paton lands new job as Sky Sports announce plans for exciting show
DARTS presenter Emma Paton has landed a new job at Sky Sports. The host is part of a new show being introduced by the broadcaster. 3 3 3 Sky Sports News have launched a new weekday magazine programme next week, The Premier League Show, which will air on Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 7pm. Presenting duties will be shared and rotated between Paton and Julian Warren. And each episode will also feature a reporter and pundit to discuss the day's biggest Premier League stories. Paton, 30, is the face of darts on Sky Sports and has been labelled the queen of Alexandra Palace. She has also covered tennis ' US Open and WWE — and is the host for Sky Sports News' transfer deadline day coverage. Paton is a regular on Sky Sports and originally joined the TV station back in 2012 as a journalist — before making the jump to presenting in 2019. SunSport has learned Roman Kemp has been signed up by Sky Sports to present a new Premier League preview show. The One Show host will front a new show, Premier League Friday, to be broadcast on 5pm on Sky Sports News. The first programme will air next Friday before the opening Premier League game of the season, Liverpool's visit to Bournemouth, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. Kemp is a big Arsenal fan and has played in the celebrity charity match Soccer Aid, but has not worked in football broadcasting before. Luke Littler takes part in annual fishing competition The former Capital One DJ, son of Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp, will be joined on the Sky Sports News show by rotating panel of pundits and reporters to discuss the top talking points in football and preview the weekend's games. Sky's move to hire Kemp is their latest attempt to attract younger viewers to their programmes. The broadcaster have had a turbulent summer, with seven senior staff made redundant in June including presenters Melissa Reddy and Rob Wooton. 'And to be honest with you and at that time when I finished, there weren't that many courses around that I would go onto after. 'There weren't many postgraduate courses, there weren't many that did NCTJ [National Council for the Training of Journalists] qualifications, I was lucky to find the one that I did.'
