Now the city is about to see a lot more of him.
Best known for his roles in the 2023 film Spring in Seoul and television dramas My Love By My Side (2011), Heartless City (2013) and Mother (2018), Lee is set to star in The Season, a six-part drama series set in Hong Kong.
A casting call for the show posted on social media earlier this year describes the series as a
White Lotus -type drama 'with wealthy, complicated, and ultimately human characters'.
It follows a group of posh buddies who get together for some summer fun until deception and power struggles take them down life-altering paths.

‘Sesame Street' coming soon to Netflix
Sesame Street will soon be available on the online video service Netflix. In the US, it will still be available on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), a public television channel. Sesame Workshop, the non-profit group that makes Sesame Street, said last month that famous characters including Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby Cadabby would come to Netflix. New episodes of the show will be available on PBS platforms in the US on the same day they appear on Netflix. Netflix will show the new 56th season of Sesame Street, as well as 90 hours of old episodes. The streaming platform will show the old episodes all over the world. Sesame Street started in 1969. It is a popular educational show for children. In recent years, Sesame Workshop has been facing financial struggles. In March, the non-profit organisation announced that it would lay off about 20 per cent of its staff.

Netflix's Dept. Q star Matthew Goode plays annoying, ‘amazing' cop in Edinburgh crime drama
Matthew Goode quite likes being a leading man. Advertisement He is the star of Dept. Q, based on the books by Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen and set in the cold case division of an Edinburgh police station. From The Queen's Gambit producer Scott Frank, the nine-part miniseries, now streaming on Netflix, sees Goode playing a one-man combination of good cop/bad cop. While Detective Chief Inspector Carl Morck is a brilliant investigator, he is equally successful at annoying people – grudging respect for his talent quickly turns into intense dislike. It is not that Goode has not been No 1 on the call sheet before, it is just that he did not enjoy it. Advertisement 'It's something I shied away from after the beginning of my career where I was there for a bit and then I had some sort of bad things … things weren't necessarily positive at that point, after that. And I just went, I just want to be, you know, not the lead any more,' he says.

Netflix K-drama Mercy for None review: So Ji-sub leads middling gangster revenge saga
2.5/5 stars Advertisement Lead cast: So Ji-sub, Heo Joon-ho, Gong Myung, Ahn Kil-kang Mercy for None, Netflix Korea's latest gritty genre original out of South Korea, is a show about a man who destroys himself to seek justice for his dead brother. It is also about fathers blinded by their love for their sons. But most of all it's a show about men beating the living hell out of each other. The man who does most of that beating is the hulking Nam Gi-hun, played by broad-shouldered bruiser So Ji-sub ( Doctor Lawyer ). Gi-hun used to be a top lieutenant in the Bongsan Gang, led by Gu Bong-san (Ahn Kil-kang, A Shop for Killers ), which is closely affiliated with the Joowon Gang, led by Lee Joo-woon (Heo Joon-ho, Buried Hearts ).
