The Internet's Best Reactions After the Andor Season 2 Finale
It's been a great run, but like any other series, Andor eventually had to end; and what a spectacular ending it had.
The weekly release has been able to give way for great fan reactions every week, and now with the show ending, some fans have a lot to say about saying good-bye to Cassian and everyone else in the series; and while it is sad, that doesn't mean we can't have any fun with it.
It's probably worth mentioning that Kleya (Elizabeth Dulau) has come out as one of the MVPs on the show, and the final arc does give a lot of backstory as to her origin with Luthen and their journey to defeat the Empire.

And while he is only a guest actor for this season, Ben Mendelsohn has managed to eat up ever scene he has as Imperial director Orson Krennic.

There are also some who are just happy to see that Dedra finally got what was coming to her:

And of course, Mon Mothma finally got her pixie cut that she's been infamously sporting since Return of the Jedi introduced the character:
you know it went something like this before they approached bail: 'you go talk to him.' 'no, you go.' '…let's just go together.' #andor pic.twitter.com/i3qySap0p1

And though he only appears in one scene, it's funny how the series goes full circle with just how paranoid Saw Gerrera had become:
// #andor spoilers••Mon: Saw, we KNOW you're on Jedha. Saw: I COULD BE ANYWHEREMon: No, I'm not asking, I'm TELLING you we know.
Saw: ANYWHERE IN THE GALAXY
— Tali ! (@taliesart) May 14, 2025
Jokes aside, a lot of people have just been gushing about how the series actually harkens back (or foreshadows) Rogue One , and how everyone just felt like revisiting the film after finishing Andor .

Even when Andor was first announced, nobody expected that one of the supporting characters from Rogue One was going to make for an interesting series, but Tony Gilroy managed to pull it off; delivering a Star Wars series that not only looked fantastic, but had such relevant themes that some say needed to be explored in today's day and age.
We don't know if Star Wars will ever get something like this again, but hopefully the rave reviews will have Lucasfilm thinking twice before they make another season of The Mandalorian filled with all kinds of cameos and digitally youth-anized characters.
Catch the complete second season of Andor now streaming on Disney+.

Winds of Winter: Fans are Worried about George R.R. Martin After Recent Blog Rant
It's no mystery that author George R.R. Martin hasn't delivered Winds of Winter or Dream of Spring in time, and for now it feels like the general consensus is to just stop bothering Martin and leave him alone to his own devices until he finishes whatever he's working on. The thing is, Martin does like to update on his blog about other projects that he has going on the side, and whenever he does this, he's usually met with people who are constantly badgering him about A Song of Ice and Fire . Now thanks to a recent blog post, Martin goes on kind of a rant talking about how he won't be able to finish the books. He writes: 'I know, I know. Some of you will just be pissed off by this, as you are by everything I announce here that is not about Westeros or THE WINDS OF WINTER . You have given up on me, or on the book. I will never finish WINDS, If I do, I will never finish A DREAM OF SPRING. If I do, it won't be any good. I ought to get some other writer to pinch hit for me… I am going to die soon anyway, because I am so old. I lost all interest in A Song of Ice and Fire decades ago. I don't give a shit about writing any longer, I just sit around and spend my money.' Martin then goes on to talk about his other projects like Wild Cards and his other projects and how fans don't like them and only care about Winds of Winter. He then caps it off with: ' Thing is, I do care about them. And I care about Westeros and WINDS as well. The Starks and Lannisters and Targaryens, Tyrion and Asha, Dany and Daenerys, the dragons and the direwolves, I care about them all. More than you can ever imagine.' While it can be chalked to Martin just making a sarcastic rant about the status of Winds and how everyone has been treating him, some are actually worried that Martin may be in a bad place right now when it comes to writing. @devanthedoppler replied, 'Jesis, sounds like he's really not in a good headspace right now.' This is pretty dark. I hope George is doing ok. We love you!!!! @GRRMspeaking — GameofThrones Quotes (@ASOIAFQuotesGOT) May 28, 2025 While there are some that are sympathetic to Martin, there are of course the people that Martin has been writing about who are saying that he has no right to complain since he's taking this much time. For now, we'll just have to wait and see what happens. If anything, a lot are convinced that the ending of Game of Thrones was Martin's intended ending; the problem is just that he doesn't know how to get there organically. I'm still rooting for Martin to finish the books, but at this point, maybe he should just get someone to help him write. Whatever gets it out of the way, you know?

Star Wars Jedi Dev Says Morale is ‘At An All-Time Low' After Recent Layoffs
The gaming industry is kind of at a crossroads with several layoffs happening across multiple studios, and the most recent victim was EA with several devs getting laid off. With EA Games choosing to focus on only a few of their successful franchises, one dev for Star Wars Jedi , Patrick Wren, had commented after the recent layoffs, 'Morale has been at an all-time low. I can say that much.' He follows up the post by saying, ' I am just sorry for everyone who just wants to make cool video games in this industry.' It's odd that the morale for a Star Wars title would be so low right now, seeing that there's been a massive resurgence for 2017's Star Wars Battlefront II which has been reporting record numbers and the biggest number of players since it launched. Live support for the game had ended back in 2020, but so many people have been livestreaming the game, and have been calling for #MakeBattlefront3. After the recent layoffs at EA though, some think that it won't be happening with the studio. On the flip side, the discussion has now shifted over as to which studio would like to take on the Battlefront mantle after BF2. Though no specifics have been explained about the recent layoffs, Wren also did share a post that seems to blame AI for the whole fiasco. Ed Zitron wrote: Here is actually what is happening: braindead management is pushing AI wherever it can, launching it, laying off some people, then realising it can't replace them, then hiring back *less* people than before. AI is used as a soft layoff excuse to dress up flagging growth. — Ed Zitron (@ May 29, 2025 at 3:49 AM We don't know for sure what's going to happen to Jedi 3 , but seeing as it's one of the most popular games to come out for EA, some are guessing it will be their last SW title for now. No release date has been announced for Star Wars Jedi 3 .

Jenna Ortega Says It's Patronizing to be Known for Playing Wednesday
It's no mystery that Jenna Ortega's breakout role was Wednesday , but she had been trying her hand at getting more mature roles even before she was cast as the icon of goth culture with projects like X and Miller's Girl . As it turns out, Ortega has been feeling 'unhappy' about the sudden success of Wednesday , and says it's been tough for her to be taken seriously since she's playing a schoolgirl despite being in her 20s. In a recent talk with Harper's Bazaar, Ortega says: '… Ater the show and trying to figure everything out, I was an unhappy person… After the pressure, the attention — as somebody who's quite introverted, that was so intense and so scary.' For context, Wednesday was such a breakout hit that it managed to get more views than the last season of Stranger Things . Now the actress is expecting to play Wednesday Addams for a few more years, but it's going to be tough on her since the role is for a pretty young girl, and being short, Ortega is already kind of put into a box. Ortega continues: 'You know, it's like how you're dressed in the schoolgirl costume… There's just something about it that's very patronizing. Also, when you're short, people are already physically looking down on you… girls, if they don't stay as this perfect image of how they were first introduced to you, then it's 'Ah, something's wrong. She's changed. She sold her soul.' But you're watching these women at the most pivotal times in their lives; they're experimenting because that's what you do.' For now, Ortega is still thankful for her global fans, but she's trying her best to 'give back to them' while at the same time finding projects that are 'creatively fulfilling' for her. Catch Ortega back in Wednesday when Season 2 comes out Aug. 6 on Netflix.
