We finally know the dates and times for all the 2025 regular-season games.
The NFL season kicks off when the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles raise their banner and host the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 4 in primetime.
The Eagles have multiple marquee games during the regular season, including a Super Bowl 57 and 59 rematch with the Chiefs in Kansas City in Week 2. Could the matchup be a preview of Super Bowl 60?
Wednesday marked the official release of the 2025 NFL schedule. USA TODAY Sports' Tyler Dragon provides five must-watch games on the slate:
To open the season, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens return to the scene of a heartbreaking loss in the AFC divisional round. The Ravens are expected to once again be contenders. It's imperative for Baltimore to capture wins against other perceived contenders for seeding purposes come playoff time. The outcome of last year's divisional game could've been different had it been in Baltimore.
This tilt also features the past two MVP winners. Both Jackson and Josh Allen are earlier favorites for the 2025 MVP award. Jackson is 3-1 versus Allen and the Bills in the regular season. But Allen is 2-0 against Jackson and the Ravens in the postseason.
Week 2 (Sept.14): Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Who isn't excited for a Super Bowl 57 and Super Bowl 59 rematch?
Fans won't have to wait long for this matchup between two juggernauts. The Eagles got revenge in Super Bowl 59 in what was a dominant defensive performance. Patrick Mahomes was sacked a career-high six times and pressured on 17 occasions in the Super Bowl 59 loss.
The Chiefs responded this offseason by placing the franchise tag on guard Trey Smith, they traded guard Joe Thuney, signed tackle Jaylon Moore in free agency, they used a first-round pick to select tackle Josh Simmons and are evaluating Kingsley Suamataia at guard. Will Kansas City's revamped O-line protect Mahomes better? Jalen Carter and the Eagles defensive front will be a litmus test for the Chiefs retooled offensive line.
There are so many storylines in this game that Andy Reid coaching against his former team is an afterthought.
Week 4 (Sept. 28): Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Two of the NFL's best quarterbacks face off once again.
Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson always seem to make memorable plays when their teams go head-to-head. The two teams produced a thriller in the 2024 Week 1 season opener.
Jackson's kryptonite has long been the Chiefs. The two-time MVP is 1-4 versus Kansas City in the regular season and lost his only battle against them in the playoffs.
The past three games between the Ravens and Chiefs – including playoffs – have been decided by one score.
Week 11 (Nov. 16): Detroit Lions vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Lions and Eagles lit up the scoreboard with 73 points in their last meeting. This NFC battle could potentially be another high-scoring affair.
These two NFC heavy weights prioritize winning the battle in the trenches. It's bound to be a physical contest as both teams try to impose their will running the football and with physicality up front.
Philadelphia has the early advantage because they get to play the game in front of their home fans at Lincoln Financial Field.
How about a first of its kind international game?
This year's international slate will conclude in Madrid, Spain with the Dolphins and Commanders at the Bernabéu Stadium, the home venue for Real Madrid. It's the NFL's first ever regular season game in Spain.
Lucky for Spain, they get to witness last year's rookie sensation Jayden Daniels.
Honorable mention: The Chiefs and Chargers will debut this year's international series in Week 1 (Sept. 5). The two AFC West rivals get the luxury of playing in in São Paulo, Brazil at Corinthians Arena. Fans or vacationers can never go wrong with a trip to Brazil.

Not many fans have weighed in yet, as Madden 26 doesn't launch until August 14. In a June 5 article, Hunter rated himself at least an 85. Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson, a former NFL receiver and one of EA Sports' live ratings adjusters, was more like nah. 'The best I could do for you as a rookie coming into the league … I give you a 76,' Johnson told the Jaguars' top draft pick. Sanders happened to be Hunter's head coach and mentor in college, at Jackson State and then at Colorado. The Jacksonville coaching staff is more concerned with how the flesh-and-blood Travis Hunter plays, and so far, are giving him high ratings for his play on both sides of the ball. Upcoming Rams mini-camp hopes to give Hawaii tourism much-needed summer boost
HONOLULU (KHON2) — Many are excited and ready for the NFL's Los Angeles Rams to host their summer mini-camp in Wailuku next week. Officials hope this showcases how these partnerships can give a much-needed boost to our tourism industry. The Yaroshuk family hasn't been to Hawaii in 18 years. So they're soaking up every minute they can. The Los Angeles Rams are heading to Maui next summer 'Just a nice getaway,' said Lina Yaroshuk, a visitor from Toronto. 'Just 10 days away from the usual you know, people wanna go somewhere on holidays where they can just relax, do some hiking, you know visit some areas you haven't seen in a while.' They're not the only ones returning to the islands this summer. The Los Angeles Rams are ready for their Maui mini-camp next week. 'Let's not kid ourselves, we're not getting anything football wise done, but it'll be a cool trip to be able to connect, so we'll enjoy it and look forward to it next week,' said Sean Mcvay, Los Angeles Rams head coach.'Every time we have something big come to the state, whether it's a training camp for a football or a concert, revenue generally rises because many people from around the country fly over,' said Rep. Adrian Tam, House Tourism Committee chair. The timing couldn't be better. Even though the state says visitors numbers are up so far this year compared to last year, they're expecting a modest slowdown during summer. According to a statement from Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism Director James Tokioka, caused by political and economic uncertainties both nationally and internationally. 'I don't understand, Just have a look around, everybody could enjoy yourself for sure,' Yaroshuk said. 'You know what I've got a few more days, I'm looking forward to renting a car and going further up north, just exploring more of what the island has to offer,' Yaroshuk said. LA sports celebrities anticipate World Cup's arrival, hope political climate has cooled by then
LOS ANGELES (AP) — When the 2026 World Cup begins across North America one year from this week, sports figures from across Los Angeles are hoping the global soccer community will find the U.S. both inspiring and welcoming. The Fox network marked the one-year milestone Wednesday night with a big party at its studio lot in Century City. Attendees included everyone from 'Ted Lasso' star Jason Sudeikis to luminaries from every corner of the sports world in the nation's second-largest metropolitan area, including Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh. 'I remember when the World Cup was here in the '90s, and then obviously what our American women's team did to win the World Cup (in 1999),' Harbaugh said. 'So yeah, I love sports, I love competition, and I think it's going to be incredible for our state, our city, our country. The vibe is going to be incredible to just have everybody here. I'm looking for another explosion of soccer — football — in America.' The attendees all expressed excitement about the return of the world's premier soccer tournament to the U.S. while acknowledging the uncertainty of whether the nation's fraught political climate could present significant challenges to the teams, the World Cup organizers and even the network that will broadcast the tournament domestically. 'I'm hoping this game can bring people together,' said former LA Galaxy midfielder Cobi Jones, a three-time World Cup veteran and the U.S. men's career leader in appearances. 'That's what we really want. We're talking about the travel bans and all that, I'm hoping that FIFA can work together with our government to find a way that everyone can be here, everyone can enjoy this sport, because it's a cultural event that's happening here in a year. I expect everyone from around the world to be able to come here and enjoy it.' Los Angeles is in the midst of several days of protests against intensified immigration raids across the nation that could cause international fans to wonder whether they can travel to the tournament safely. President Donald Trump's latest expansive travel ban has raised questions about whether some soccer fans will be able to visit at all. 'I think it will get figured out,' Harbaugh said. 'To quote the late, great Tom Petty, most things I worry about don't end up happening anyway.' Jones also preached caution for U.S. fans already fretting about the dismal state of their national team. Coach Mauricio Pochettino's squad is on its first four-game losing streak since 2007 after getting thrashed 4-0 by Switzerland on Tuesday in its final tune-up for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. 'We don't panic right now,' Jones said. 'Talk to me when we're a month out. I've seen from experience that with a year out from the World Cup, the team is going to completely change (in the interim). So for me, it's all about a general sense of whether they can come together as a team, because it's not about the individuals. We've seen it so many times.' ___
