Celebrating National Soccer Day With Henkel
Henkel and U.S. Soccer share an aim to increase awareness and accessibility of the sport for underserved communities across the country, and both organizations work throughout the year towards achieving this goal.
Kicking Off a Brighter Future: Empowering the Next Generations
Henkel is a supporting partner of American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Clinics, which take place in multiple locations across the country throughout the year. Henkel employees will soon hear more about the opportunity to sign up and bring their children along to clinic sessions later this year. All participants will get first-hand experience with the benefits of youth sports, including better overall academic performance, lower stress levels, greater self-confidence, improved cognitive performance, and more creativity. It is important to equip the next generation with the tools they need to excel, and participation in youth sports such as soccer can be a big step in achieving this goal. The work being done to increase access for all young athletes in the world of sports is essential to ensuring a long and successful future of the sport and a next generation that is primed to succeed.

Kenzie's dream is to one day play on the USWNT, and was excited to cheer them on to victory while spotting Henkel and its brands' logos around the stadium.
Soccer for All: Building Stronger Communities
U.S. Soccer also seeks to expand access to the sport and supercharge communities across the country through the Soccer Forward Foundation. The foundation hosts community spotlights and raises funds in pursuit of their mission to take soccer's power and the difference it can make to a whole new level of building healthier and more connected communities. Through their events, grants, and other resources, they aim to make soccer a force for good -- accessible to everyone in the U.S., everywhere in the U.S.
Soccer is not only a super accessible activity, but also a source of many life lessons. It provides a basis for learning, encouraging kids to practice critical thinking, self-advocacy, and resiliency in an engaging, safe environment. And I've personally watched them grow from it.Becky Kristopeit, Director of Sustainability and Climate Impact at Henkel Adhesive Technologies
As we celebrate National Soccer Day, we are proud of the work being done through collaboration between Henkel and U.S. Soccer to build strong teams on the pitch and in the workplace.

Henkel to present sustainable packaging solutions at Labelexpo Europe 2025
Henkel Adhesive Technologies is set to demonstrate its advanced adhesive solutions that comply with the EU's Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and promote sustainable packaging design at Labelexpo Europe 2025. From September 16 to 19, the company will present its pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and high-performance technologies, focusing on recyclability and carbon dioxide (CO₂) reduction across the value chain. Among these products is Aquence PS 3017 RE, a wash-off PSA for polyethylene terephthalate bottles, and repulpable adhesives for paper labels that fully dissolve during the recycling process. The Henkel Packaging recyclab, part of the Henkel Inspiration Center Düsseldorf, evaluates packaging designs to ensure they meet regulatory standards such as the PPWR and are designed sustainably from the outset. In addition to recyclable adhesives, Henkel is introducing high-performance solutions for CO₂ reduction. These include PSAs for linerless label applications that save material and enhance process efficiency, and UV-curable PSAs known for their energy efficiency and resistance to heat, chemicals, and environmental factors, making them suitable for challenging label and tape applications. Henkel Adhesive Technologies packaging Europe market strategy head Philippe Daval said: 'The coming years will bring fundamental changes for the labelling and packaging industry. Companies aiming to remain competitive must address sustainability, performance and regulation as a whole and work with partners from the industry to overcome the challenges. 'Our adhesive and coating technologies provide the basis for this, all the way from design for recycling to reliable implementation.' Earlier this month, Henkel Adhesive Technologies introduced a new solvent-free adhesive system, Loctite Liofol LA 7837/LA 6265, designed for high-performance packaging applications, particularly in retort packaging for pet food. "Henkel to present sustainable packaging solutions at Labelexpo Europe 2025" was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand. Caitlin Clark, WNBA All-Stars make CBA statement with 'Pay Us What You Owe Us' shirts
Editor's note: Click link for live coverage of the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game with USA TODAY Sports All eyes are on the WNBA as the best players in the league gather in Indianapolis for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. And they used that opportunity to make a bold statement to the league, walking onto the court for warm ups in black T-shirts that read, "Pay Us What You Owe Us." One of the main items on the All-Star weekend agenda was a face-to-face meeting between the players and league on collective bargaining agreement negotiations as the current contract expires at the end of the 2025 season. According to multiple players, that meeting did not go well. "That's one of the things we're in the room fighting for," Clark said Saturday ahead of the All-Star Game. "We should be paid more and hopefully that's the case moving forward as the league continues to grow. I think that's something that's probably the most important thing that we are in the room advocating about." More than 40 players turned out for the first meeting with league officials in months. Clark said the meeting featured a "great balance of young stars, but also vets" who understand the importance of the moment. Although some players described the talks as a 'wasted opportunity' and outright "disrespectful," Clark said the players successfully sent a "powerful" message to league representatives — there's power in numbers. "That was the best part of it, being in the room and there's over 40 other players in this league," Clark said, adding there were young stars and veterans. "I'm sure a lot more would've loved to be in there if they were in Indianapolis and I think that's the most powerful thing. All the girls across the league just being in that room together." OPINION: WNBA should take lesson from U.S. Soccer, pay players before it gets ugly Clark added: "I think we all have a good understanding that this is very important for our future, the future of the league, for the future of our careers." Fellow All-Star team captain Napheesa Collier echoed Clark's sentiments and said the high turnout among the players marked "the most participation in league history." "The players are obviously taking this really seriously," Collier said on Saturday. "I think we had close to 40 players in our league meeting. I think there's a really strong message that we're standing really firm on certain areas that we feel really strongly that we need to improve on and I think we got that message across."
