
Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr praises Kuwait swimmers' success at Gulf Championship
Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr Al-Sabah made the statement while he is in Gstaad, Switzerland; indicating that the results reflect the great administrative and technical efforts of the technical staff of the national team; in addition to the dedication of Kuwaiti swimmers to achieve good results, win medals, and raises the Kuwaiti flag high in international forums.
On the first day of the championship, the Kuwaiti athletes won eight medals. Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr Al-Sabah congratulated Al-Qadsiya swimmer Rashed Al-Tarmoum for setting a new Kuwaiti record in the 50-meter race when he participated in the Swiss World Open Swimming Championship.
Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr Al-Sabah stressed that the Aquatics Federation continues to provide all forms of support to the national athletes, like top-level coaches, in addition to facilitating and supporting their participation in international competitions, and preparing them for competitions in the appropriate manner. He also indicated that these participations are part of the plan of the federation to prepare more champions for the upcoming competitions at the regional, continental, and international levels.
The following are the achievements of Kuwaiti swimmers so far: Three gold medals for Saud Al-Shamroukh in the 1,500m freestyle, 200m freestyle, and 4x200m freestyle (team)
Two silver medals for Mohammad Zubaid in the 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke. One silver medal for Khaled Al-Otaibi in the 200m freestyle.Two silver medals for Saud Al-Enezi in the 200m butterfly and 4x100m medley.

Kuwait's Ambassador to Egypt hosts Olympic team during Cairo training camp
CAIRO, July 13: Kuwait's Ambassador to Egypt, Ghanem Saqr Al-Ghanim, hosted a dinner in honor of the Kuwaiti Olympic football team delegation currently participating in a training camp in Cairo, part of its preparations for the AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers. The dinner was attended by key football officials, including Osama Hussein, Vice Chairman of the Kuwait Football Association for Technical Affairs; Dr. Ahmed Ajab, Board Member of the Association; and Saud Al-Mujammed, Director of National Teams. In appreciation of the ambassador's warm reception and support, the Kuwaiti delegation presented him with a commemorative shield and a signed Blue Team jersey. The team is set to resume training this evening after its second friendly match. The technical and administrative staff have focused on ramping up preparations, with more friendly matches lined up. As part of their friendly schedule, the Blues will face Egypt in two matches next Thursday and Sunday.
