Guy Fieri has reacted to the idea of Timothée Chalamet playing him in a biopic after a joke movie poster went viral.
Newsweek reached out to Chalamet's representative via email for comment.
The Context

'He brought this team back': Josh Hart, Ben Stiller react to Knicks firing coach Tom Thibodeau after Eastern Conference finals run

The New York Knicks parted ways with coach Tom Thibodeau on Tuesday, just days after the team was eliminated from what was its first Eastern Conference finals appearance in 25 years. Almost immediately, star guard Josh Hart spoke out on social media about his now former head coach. The split came just days after Knicks star Jalen Brunson defended Thibodeau after their loss to the Indiana Pacers in Game 6, which ended their postseason run. Advertisement "Is that a real question right now?" Brunson responded when asked if Thibodeau was the guy to take the Knicks to the next level. "You just asked me if I believe he's the right guy? Yes." Hart and Brunson weren't alone in their praise for Thibodeau, either. Actor and noted Knicks superfan Ben Stiller, who was frequently spotted sitting courtside throughout the team's most recent playoff run, thanked Thibodeau for making the Knicks 'relevant again' on social media, too. Noted Knicks fan John McEnroe happened to be calling the Carlos Alcaraz-Tommy Paul match in the French Open when the news broke, and he reacted to the news live, saying "that's pretty harsh. That is a bummer." Advertisement Coincidentally, former NBA MVP Derrick Rose, who played for Thibodeau with the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks, was at Roland Garros watching the match. He had joined the TNT broadcast earlier. Plenty in the Knicks world and New York media universe weren't quite on board with the move to fire Thibodeau. At least one person didn't waste any time vying for the now open job in Manhattan, too. The Knicks won 51 games this season and reached the conference finals for the first time since 2000. Thibodeau got the Knicks to the playoffs in four of his five seasons at the helm, and he racked up back-to-back 50-win seasons for the first time since the early 1990s. Before Thibodeau was hired, the Knicks hadn't made the playoffs in seven seasons. By all accounts, Thibodeau's time with the Knicks was a success. As has been the case at his previous stops in Chicago and Minnesota, it just wasn't successful enough.

Tom Thibodeau and the New York Knicks ended up losing a hard-fought series in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Indiana Pacers last week. It was an incredibly entertaining series, but the Knicks simply did not have enough to pull out the win. Despite the loss, New York put together an impressive all-around year. The team was one of the four best in the NBA, and there was a lot to be optimistic about looking ahead to the future. While the season was a successful one, management did not see it that way. Shortly after losing to the Pacers, the Knicks made the decision to fire Thibodeau and move in a different direction. "Everybody in the basketball world is stunned that coach Thibs got let go and relieved of his duties. I feel that's unfair." Hardaway continued on, talking more about what Thibodeau has done for the Knicks and why he didn't deserve to be fired. "He's been in the postseason four out of five times that he's been the head coach for the Knicks," Hardaway said. "And then he gets to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 25 years. And then y'all reward him with letting him go. That is absolutely terrible. I don't think any other coach can go in there and do what Thibs did ... That's unfortunate. That's not right." WWE's Major Plans For WrestleMania 42 Nearly Done: Report

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced on May 23, 2025, that New Orleans will host the Money in the Bank premium live event on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This decision came after WWE reportedly changed its original plans to hold WrestleMania 42 in the city that year. Following days of speculation after the WrestleMania 42 change, this announcement clarifies part of WWE's future major event schedule. New Orleans was reportedly promised a future WrestleMania and has now been awarded the 2026 Money in the Bank event as a make-good. With WrestleMania 42 no longer set for New Orleans, Las Vegas quickly became the favorite to host the spectacle for what would be a second consecutive year. While WWE has yet to make an official announcement, Bryan Alvarez, speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, provided an update on the situation. Alvarez noted that a deal to bring WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas is now complete after significant progress. "Vegas is very close to being a done deal for WrestleMania next year [2026]," Alvarez stated. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 20: Digital screens display WrestleMania logos during the Undisputed WWE Championship match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes during WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium on April 20, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. MoreLas Vegas successfully hosted WrestleMania 41 in April 2025 at Allegiant Stadium, and a return in 2026 would mark the city's third time hosting WWE's grandest event, following WrestleMania IX in 1993. The hurdles previously reported for Las Vegas included potential scheduling conflicts with an unannounced concert at Allegiant Stadium and limited availability at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the accompanying "WWE World" fan festival. Alvarez's report suggests these issues have been, or are very close to being, resolved, paving the way for an official announcement from WWE regarding WrestleMania 42's location in the near future. The late August date for Money in the Bank in New Orleans is also a notable shift from the event's typical late spring/early summer placement on the WWE calendar. WWE fans will once again have to shell out big bucks to not only go to WrestleMania, but to stay in an already expensive city with hotel, flights and food. That is a lot to ask of fans, especially families. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
