Enhypen's 4th Japan single certifies double platinum

Korea Herald08-08-2025
Enhypen added another release to its 'double platinum' list as its fourth single in Japan 'Yoi' earned the certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
The organization announced Friday that the physical single qualified for the title after logging 500,000 shipments in the previous month. The single is its third record to do so, following the two previous singles in Japan: 'Dimension: Senkou' and 'You.'
Single 'Yoi' is the septet's first physical release in the country to sell over half a million and did so in just three days.
Last week, the band performed 'Shine On Me,' the focus track from its fourth single, at its Osaka show which wrapped up the Japan leg of tour 'Walk the Line.' It began touring US in New York on Wednesday and will hit the stage in Chicago on Saturday.

Boynextdoor drops 2nd single in Japan

Boynexdoor rolled out its second physical single in Japan, 'Boylife,' on Monday, according to agency KOZ Entertainment. The six-piece act packed four songs into the single: the main track 'Count to Love' and Japanese-language versions of 'I Feel Good,' 'Nice Guy' and 'Dangerous.' 'I Feel Good' fronted its fourth EP, 'No Genre,' and 'Nice Guy' its third, '19.99." 'Dangerous' is a prerelease from the group's third EP. The two mini albums both earned gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan after topping Oricon's Weekly Album Ranking. Both sets sold over a million copies in the first week and made the Billboard 200 as well. Earlier in August, the band made its festival debut at Lollapalooza Chicago, barely a week after it wrapped up its first international tour, 'Knock On Vol. 1,' with three shows in Seoul.

Enhypen amasses 400m Spotify streams with ‘Bite Me'

Enhypen generated 400 million streams on Spotify with 'Bite Me' as of Tuesday, its agency Belift Lab said Thursday, citing the platform. 'Bite Me' is the main track from its 2023 EP, 'Dark Blood,' and it is the band's second song to achieve the feat after 'Fever,' a B-side track from its second EP, 'Border: Carnival.' As the title suggests, "Bite Me" portrays the realization of being bound to a destined partner through blood. It ranked No. 35 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global, while the track's music video reached 100 million views on YouTube in record time for the band. Meanwhile, the seven members are set to go live in Los Angeles on Saturday for the final show in the US of its 'Walk the Line' tour.

The group's Singapore stop will now run for three shows, expanding the overall tour to 32 shows across 19 cities. 'Walk The Line' was launched in October and saw the band debut at stadiums in Japan in the shortest time since debut for an international artist, at barely over 4 1/2 years. Its fourth single in Japan, 'Yoi,' rolled out in July and sold over half a million units in its first week. Enhypen began touring the US last week and is set to perform in Houston before wrapping up the US leg in Los Angeles on Saturday.
