isn't just a one-day affair – it's a year-round celebration of the one person who truly gets her: her brother Rudraksh, a Mumbai-based celebrity fashion designer. 'Rudraksh was my first best friend, and he has always been the most important person in my life,' says Ragini.
The feeling is mutual. 'Ragini has been my pillar of strength,' says Rudraksh. We sit down with the duo to talk about what makes their sibling bond so strong. Excerpts:
'WE ARE EACH OTHER'S CONSTANTS'
Describing the bond she shares with her brother, Ragini says, 'I don't usually care much for other people's opinions, but when he speaks, I listen. He's the only one who can say whatever he wants. And actually get away with it!' Rudraksh adds, 'I'll tell her to her face if I think she's done something wrong.
I'd much rather be honest with her than sit in a room where she's not around and listen to people talk behind her back.
' The duo comes from an Army background. This meant growing up, they were always moving from place to place. 'No matter where we went, having each other was a blessing. Plus, with just a 1.5-year age gap, we basically grew up side by side,' Ragini says. Rudraksh agrees, 'Through all the changes, Ragini has been my one constant.'

'OUR PERSONALITIES ARE THE EXACT OPPOSITE'
Ragini and Rudraksh prove that different personalities can create the strongest bonds. 'We're like yin and yang. Rudraksh was the calm kid, and even today, he's like my therapist. I was the naughtier one and always landed in trouble as a kid!' laughs Ragini. Rudraksh smiles, 'Ragini began her career young, and seeing her grow into the star she is now is nothing short of amazing.'

Why was Jennifer Lopez turned away from a Chanel store in Istanbul?
Jennifer Lopez was refused entry to a Chanel boutique in Istanbul's upscale Istinye Park Mall on August 4. Security staff at the store stopped her at the door, citing full capacity as the reason. Reports from Türkiye Today and Billboard confirmed the guard did not recognise the global star. Lopez reportedly responded calmly, 'OK, no problem,' before walking away. Later, store staff realised their mistake and invited her back. She declined the offer and instead shopped at nearby luxury stores such as Celine and Beymen, spending tens of thousands of dollars there. During a recent concert, her skirt slipped down mid-performance. Without missing a beat, she joked to the crowd, 'I'm out here in my underwear. That's gonna be everywhere. I'm glad that they reinforced that costume. And I'm glad I had underwear on. I don't usually wear underwear.' Lopez's ability to handle public hiccups with humour and grace has drawn praise, reinforcing her image as a seasoned performer. Live Events On tour and celebrating in Turkey Lopez was in Istanbul as part of her ongoing 'Up All Night: Live in 2025' tour. She performed at Yenikapi Festival Park on August 5 during the Istanbul Festival . This was her second visit to Turkey on this tour, following a July 23 show at the Regnum Carya Resort Hotel, where she also celebrated her 54th birthday. Sharing gratitude on Instagram, Lopez wrote, 'What a gift you all are! Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes,' alongside photos from the celebration. Her tour, which began in Spain, covers multiple countries across Europe, the Middle East, and the US, and will conclude in Sardinia, Italy, on August 12. Chanel's reputation and online reactions The Istanbul Chanel store has faced criticism over the years. It holds a low rating of 2.9 out of 5 on Google, with customers complaining about rude and unwelcoming behaviour, especially from security staff at the entrance. One reviewer commented, 'The difference between the excellent service inside and this poor treatment at the entrance is truly disappointing. This is an unacceptable situation for a brand at this level.' Another said, 'The security team was a complete disappointment. Their attitude was rude and unwelcoming, treating customers with suspicion rather than respect, even those clearly there to shop.' There have been reports of aggressive behaviour and denied entry to paying customers, creating an image of elitism rather than hospitality. Industry voices weigh in Reality TV star Bethenny Frankel , known from The Real Housewives of New York City, shared her thoughts after hearing about Lopez's experience. Frankel recounted a personal incident at a Chanel store, where she was turned away without an appointment despite being a public figure. She told TikTok followers, 'I don't think Chanel should change policies for public people. I think they should change policies about the elitism and the way they treat someone daring to enter their kingdom, making them feel inferior.' She added, 'I have no idea how the person at the door treated Jennifer Lopez, but therein lies the actual issue.' Frankel speculated that the security guard might simply not have known who Lopez was or the store genuinely was at capacity. Lopez has not publicly commented on the Chanel incident. She is currently busy with her first tour in six years, which follows the cancellation of her Los Angeles residency last year reportedly due to soft ticket sales. In addition to touring, Lopez is preparing for the October 10 release of Kiss of the Spider Woman , a musical film directed by Bill Condon. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Lopez stars as Ingrid Luna, alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh Elizarraraz. The project is based on the musical by Terrence McNally, John Kander, and Frank Ebb, which itself was adapted from Manuel Puig's 1976 novel. Meanwhile, Lopez is reportedly working on a post-divorce album and searching for a new record label after parting ways with her previous one.

Regarded As Indian Shakespeare, This Maverick Director Has Redefined Indian Cinema
'Hum Hai, Ya Hum Nahi?', 'Tu to Raja Hai Maqbool...', 'Langda Do these lines ring a bell? Vishal Bharadwaj or Shakespeare? No doubt Bharadwaj is often called as the 'Indian Shakespeare'. A master of mayhem, music and melancholy, he blends poetry and politics in the Indian setting. The way his characters emote and embrace the essence of love, jealousy, ambition, hatred and guilt are a cinematic treat. A true maverick director, Bharadwaj defines a unique set of tone, tension and trope, setting his filmography apart in Bollywood. Diving into a mysterious world of macabre, Shivangi Sharma, Chief Entertainment Officer, Excitel, revisits 3 landmark films by the director that redefined Indian cinema. (Imge: IMDb) Maqbool (2003): Macbeth meets Mumbai Underworld: Vishal Bharadwaj knew exactly how to portray greed and guilt of Macbeth through the lens of Indian underworld. (Imge: IMDb) Set amidst the gruesome world of gang wars, Macbeth becomes Maqbool and Scotland turns into Mumbai. Maqbool (Irrfan Khan), a loyal henchman kills Abbaji (Pankaj Kapur) to take over the throne. However, he never knew what was awaiting him. Soon, he spirals into a mortal quagmire of fear, guilt, and madness. Bharadwaj crafted this Shakespeare classic into a quiet, psychological, and tension-filled world. If you want to experience a gangster story infused with Shakespearean depth, Maqbool is your next watch. (Imge: IMDb) Omkara (2006): Othello trapped by Langda Tyagi: To adapt Othello into UP's setting is one thing, and putting the suave Saif Ali khan into the shoes of rustic Langda Tyagi (Iago) is another one. Yet, it's the brilliance of Vishal Bharadwaj that made it possible. (Imge: IMDb) Crafting a world around love, betrayal and jealousy, Omkara also peeks into the evil of caste politics, power and fragile male ego. Here, Italy's Othello turns into Omkara (Ajay Devgn), Desdemona becomes Dolly (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Cassio becomes Keshu (Vivek Oberoi). However, it was Saif's Langa Tyagi who stole the show. What happens when Omkara, a local bahuballi promotes Cassio as the next strongman instead of Langda, who was a loyal henchman? Langda becomes the green-eyed monster, harboring hatred against Omkara, and eventually towards everyone. His evil plan to destroy Omkara is used as a beautiful trope by Vishal Bharadwaj showcase jealousy, that wasn't just emotional, but social, cultural, and political. Omkara was a bold, brutal, beautiful take on Shakespearean Othello. (Imge: IMDb) Haider (2014): Hamlet and Paradise's devastation: Vishal Bharadwaj once knocked on Shahid Kapoor's door and said, 'You know till today, Irrfan, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri never got a chance to have a monologue in my films. But you are doing it.' And, what a haunting monologue it was. Remember the end sequence where Haider (Shahid Kapoor) is devastated? That's how iconic Haider is. (Imge: IMDb) Vishal Bharadwaj brilliantly adapted the story of Denmark's Hamlet into Kashmir's Haider. Touching upon the issues of identity, loss and revenge, it's the tale of Haider, who is devastated after his father's murder and his uncle's betrayal. Amidst all this he meets his father's ghost, which is beautifully infused through the mysterious character of Roohdaar. (Remember the iconic cameo of Irrfan Khan?). That's when revenge starts boiling and we also experience the deep-rooted conflicts of both Haider and Kashmir. Bharadwaj disguised the Shakespearean tragedy and gave us a chilling account of human emotions and Kashmir's scars. (Imge: IMDb)
