Australian superstar Ellyse Perry rejoining NSW
Australian superstar Ellyse Perry has locked in a major career change confirming her Victorian exit and a move back to NSW to play for her home state again.
Perry, 34, spent six seasons playing in Victoria, moving south when she married former Melbourne Rebels and Wallabies star Matt Toomua.
But after 20 matches, 1052 runs and 13 wickets for Victoria, having played games while also starring for Australia, Perry is moving home and will play out her career for NSW.
'The last six years I've spent in Melbourne and at Cricket Victoria have been extremely fond ones and I'm incredibly grateful for all the opportunities and memories that I'll cherish,' Perry said.
'I'm really looking forward to being back in Sydney and closer to my family and longtime friends.'

Perry sits 10th on the list of all-time WNCL run-scorers for NSW, remains the state's third highest wicket-taker, and has now amassed more than 2,700 runs and 120 wickets in her WNCL career.
Leah Poulton, Head of Female Elite Cricket at Cricket NSW, said Perry's return is a significant moment for the program.
'We're thrilled to welcome Ellyse back home to the Breakers. She's not only one of the world's premier cricketers, but also a role model and leader whose impact extends far beyond the field,' Poulton said.
'Pez' professionalism, experience, and approach to the game make her an incredible asset to any team, and we're excited to have her back in our program.'

Australian superstar swimmer Kaylee McKeown and former AFL player Declan Watson have gone public with their budding relationship. McKeown, who won another two world titles in Singapore earlier this month, is enjoying a well-deserved break after the world championships. She shared a series of photos of her trip to Uluru, including two snaps with new boyfriend Watson. It's unclear how long the pair have been together but it's the first time they have posted each other on social media. McKeown was previously in a relationship with fellow Aussie swimmer Brendan Smith. They were together for about four years but split up earlier this year. Despite the split, the 24-year-old continued her domination in the backstroke at the world championships. She won the 100m and 200m events, adding to her Olympic gold medals in the same events. And she did it just weeks after suffering a dislocated shoulder. 'I have got a really flexible stroke and it's my benefit when I swim my backstrokes,' she said. 'But sometimes it can cause me to dislocate my shoulder. 'It's been quite irritated but I have got a good medical team and physiotherapists to help me get through. 'I'm really really proud. It's a little bit emotional.' McKeown now has a staggering five Olympic gold and six world championship gold medals, as well as four Commonwealth Games gold medals to undoubtedly be one Australia's best ever swimmers. Watson had a brief AFL career at North Melbourne but never played a game due to a series of injuries. Taken with pick No.34 in the 2016 draft, Watson impressed in the VFL during his first season but suffered an ACL injury in 2017. Another knee injury in 2019 ultimately ended his AFL career with the Kangaroos delisting him at the end of that season. He has since returned home to Brisbane where he works as a lawyer.

Watson too posted photos of McKeown on his Instagram page – making the duo Insta-official. × The 26-year-old was drafted by North Melbourne with pick No.34 in the 2016 draft but after back-to-back ACL injuries the key defender never played a game for the Kangaroos and was de-listed in 2019. He has since returned home to Brisbane where he now works as a lawyer. 'Declan showed some great potential but unfortunately was set back with injury,' North VFL coach David Loader said at the time. 'He was a great contributor to our group and we certainly wish him all the best for the future.'
