Iowa State commit, 3-star S Brayden Thomas shares photos from Michigan State official visit
Michigan State football is working to flip an Iowa State commit, and it looks like they made up some ground this weekend.
Brayden Thomas of Lakewood, Ohio shared some fun photos from his official visit to Michigan State this weekend on Saturday night. Thomas posted the photos from his official visit on his Instagram account, which was later re-posted by SpartanMag -- which Thomas then retweeted asking "Spartan nation how we feel about this!?"
Check out the social media posts below:
Thomas is a three-star safety currently committed to Iowa State of the Big 12. Thomas has been committed to Iowa State since early February, but Michigan State has recently upped their recruiting efforts to flip him their way.
Thomas ranks as the No. 71 safety in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 32 player from Ohio and No. 842 overall prospect in the class.
Thomas is set to take an official visit to Iowa State next week, according to 247Sports. His visit to Michigan State this weekend could certainly impact that upcoming visit, with the Spartans hopefully putting some more pressure on the Cyclones to retain Thomas' commitment.

Gabby Thomas calls out ‘weirdo' heckler over ‘bragging' social media post
Olympic track and field gold medalist Gabby Thomas put a male spectator on blast after she said he yelled personal insults at her and followed her around at the Grand Slam Track meet in Philadelphia on Sunday. Thomas explained that she publicly called out the man because she saw him 'bragging' about heckling her on social media. 'I made Gabby lose by heckling her. And it made my parlay win,' the man wrote under the username 'Mr 100K a day' in response to a recap post by Thomas, who finished fourth in the 100-meter race at the Grand Slam Track meet, and second place in the 200-meter sprint on Sunday. 3 Gabby Thomas of the United States competes in the women's 200m on Day 1 of Grand Slam Track at Franklin Field in on May 31, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 'This grown man followed me around the track as I took pictures and signed autographs for fans (mostly children) shouting personal insults,' Thomas, 28, wrote in response. 'Anybody who enables him online is gross.' Thomas called the man 'a weirdo' while replying to fans. Thomas added that she 'wasn't even going to tweet about it but since he's bragging.' 'Honestly the heckling is tolerable, it's following me around the stadium that's wild,' she wrote in another post. The man denied Thomas' claims and called her a liar in a YouTube video posted Monday under the same username — adding that she tweeted about him 'for sympathy.' He also said he does not like Thomas and called her 'a Karen.' 3 Melissa Jefferson-Wooden (USA), left, defeats Gabby Thomas (USA) to win the women's 200m, 21.99 to 22.10, during the Grand Slam Track Philadelphia at Franklin Field on May 31, 2025. Kirby Lee-Imagn Images In the 11-minute video, he showed clips of him heckling Thomas and saying he wanted Melissa Jefferson-Wooden to win the 200m race. 'Gabby Thomas is scared I see it in her eyes,' the man yelled, before calling her a 'choke artist.' The man was also heard yelling, 'Melissa got married this year, got a Black husband, Gabby got a white guy,' referring to Thomas' fiancé, Spencer McManes, who is white. 3 Olympian Gabby Thomas and Spencer McManes are seen arriving to the Carolina Herrera fashion show during New York Fashion Week on September 9, 2024 in New York City. GC Images At one point, he said Thomas 'walked past me and she spoke to me and she said, 'Hey what're you doing here? You're just a heckler… She laughed, smiled and kept walking. That was the last time I saw Gabby.' Earlier this year, Thomas shared a PSA on TikTok and explained that she feared she was being stalked by a group of middle-aged men, who allegedly followed her to and from multiple cities in the United States recently. The U.S. sprinter made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in the magazine's 2025 issue in May.

Cowboys invested less than $4 million, but may have grabbed key contributor in free agency
Cowboys invested less than $4 million, but may have grabbed key contributor in free agency The Dallas Cowboys don't usually spend much in outside free agency so when they do, it's wise for fans to take notice. Unlike most offseasons, the Cowboys attacked 2025 with two shakes of fervor and a dash of gusto. They opened their checkbooks for a number of players, even making trades to round out the rough edges along the way. Lost in the flurry of activity is the contract value the front office placed at a couple key acquisitions. While running backs Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders have dominated much of free agent conversation, there's a different player the front office deemed more valuable, by way of contract, who's quietly falling under the radar. When the Cowboys signed former Dolphins guard Robert Jones to a one-year, $3,750,000 deal in March, it was largely met with indifference from the fanbase. Zack Martin had just retired and Dallas needed options on the table to possibly replace him in the starting lineup. The Cowboys made sizeable investments at left tackle, right guard and center in recent drafts, so Jones looked like a perfectly reasonable option to replace Martin. $3,750,000 isn't a King's Ransom but it's not nothing either. It represents the Cowboys second-largest salary investment in outside free agency this offseason with only Dante Fowler's $6 million figure topping it. It was a larger annual amount than what was given to Solomon Thomas, Payton Turner, Jack Sanborn and the two headline grabbing running backs. The Cowboys clearly value Jones. Like most years, the Cowboys are taking the opportunity in their organized team activities (OTAs) to test the many different combinations of offensive linemen. Chances are good the final combo will follow the chalk and feature Tyler Guyton, Tyler Smith, Cooper Beebe, Tyler Booker and Terence Steele as starters. But backup plans could very well have Jones in the mix. Jones never graded particularly great in Miami but he has experience and he's relatively young. Working under one of the best O-line minds in the game in Klayton Adams, the stage is set for Jones to deliver his very best in Dallas here in 2025. The Cowboys front office probably thinks as much or they wouldn't have made Jones their second-highest paid free agent acquisition this offseason. Whether he's a contingency plan should someone falter, or an emergency option should someone fall to injury, he's a safe bet to be in the mix. Since $3 million has been given him in signing bonus and guarantees he's nearly a lock to make the team. Hopefully, everything works out with the predicted starting lineup and no one has to see Jones play in 2025, but the Cowboys clearly saw the value in Jones or they wouldn't have made him one of their highest paid free agent additions. It's something everyone should keep in mind as training camp inches closer. NBA Hall-of-Famer Paul Pierce says he walked 20 miles in robe to pay off on-air bet
NBA Hall-of-Famer Paul Pierce says he walked 20 miles in robe to pay off on-air bet (KTLA) – Don't let anyone ever tell you Paul Pierce isn't a man of his word. On Thursday, the Boston Celtics legend and former Los Angeles Clippers player appeared to make good on a promise to walk to work in his robe from his home somewhere in the San Fernando Valley to the Fox Sports studio in Century City. Advertisement The reason? Pierce's overconfidence in his former team. After the Celtics blew a 20-point lead in Game 1 against the underdog New York Knicks earlier this week, Pierce proudly proclaimed he wasn't worried about the team's performance or the possibility that the upstart Knicks could dethrone the defending champions. 'If the Celtics lose Game 2 at home, I promise you, I'm walking here tomorrow,' Pierce boldly announced during an appearance on FS1, as his co-hosts could be heard trying to talk him out of it. 'I'm walking here. I'm walking here. 15 miles. I'm walking here. In my robe. No shoes on. Bare feet. If the Celtics lose.' 'RIP Skype': What to know about your data Advertisement Hindsight aside, Pierce had reason to be optimistic. The Celtics are the reigning NBA champs, have home court advantage over New York and were betting favorites to beat the Knicks. Plus, blowing a 20-point lead as the favorites in the NBA Playoffs is just a fluke… right? Wrong. On Wednesday, it was deja vu for Pierce and fellow Celtics supporters. The Knicks outscored the Celtics 30-17 in the fourth quarter of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, capped off with a game winning free throw by New York point guard Jalen Brunson and a clutch steal by forward Mikal Bridges to leave the crowd at TD Garden stunned. Advertisement And with that, Pierce had to either follow through with his promise, or be vilified as a liar. But Pierce took it in stride, posting a screenshot of his projected route to work shortly after the final buzzer went off. With two barfing emojis, the screenshot showed a 20-mile, eight-hour walk from his home to the Fox Studios. And, on Thursday, before the sun came up, Pierce posted a video on social media that showed him heading out on his morning commute – robe and all. He wasn't barefoot, but we'll give him a pass. Throughout the morning, Pierce checked in on Instagram, providing updates about his progress. He even took time to chat with some fans who found him on the street. Advertisement As of 12:30 p.m., he was live on social media, responding to fans who tuned in for the final stretch. 'I think I lost five pounds,' he joked during the live-stream. 'My feet hurt, my toes. I need a shower.' He also thanked fans who followed during his journey, giving him words of encouragement and even those who provided him with water along his route. Some on social media questioned the veracity of Pierce 'walking the walk,' accusing him of not appearing sufficiently sweaty, but the 2008 NBA Finals MVP swears it was legit. 'I'm never going to do this again,' he laughed. 'You thought this wasn't real? It's real.'
