Jennings later took to X to double down on his comments, implying that wearing a kit could be a sign of being a fake fan. He said: "I'm all for a scarf or a precisely placed pin-badge. "But if you're over 15 and you're wearing a club shirt it's quite often the biggest tell-[tale] sign that you actually have no idea who your club are or what they represent." ‘We know how highly Palace think of him' - Dubliner hailed as loan move is done

Leyton Orient chiefs reckon Ireland Under-21 defender Tayo Adaramola's loan move to the League One side can be a stepping stone to first-team football at Premier League side Crystal Palace. Adaramola completed his season-long switch at the weekend, to the delight of the O's manager and director of football, and the player himself. Dubliner Adaramola, who featured for Palace in pre-season, has previously been on loan at Coventry City, Belgian side RWD Molenbeek, Stockport and Bradford, and has made almost 50 first-team appearances. That tally includes two FA Cup displays for Palace - against Hartlepool and Stoke - in 2022. Leyton Orient Director of Football Martin Ling said: 'Tayo has been someone we identified a while back as a player we would love to get in and join what we are building. 'He's athletic, quick, strong on the ball and offers us something different in that full-back role. He was a really important player for Bradford last season as they achieved promotion - and we've beaten a lot of clubs to secure his signature. 'We have used the loan market really well in recent years, and we hope that Tayo can be another example of that. 'We know how highly Crystal Palace think of him, and we're grateful that both they and Tayo have chosen us as the next step in his development.' Orient Head Coach Richie Wellens added: 'Tayo has had a few loans away from Palace now, and he comes here with real pedigree. In his first loan at Coventry, he showed the potential of what he's capable of. 'We played against him last year whilst he was at Stockport, and in the second half of the season, he had a superb loan at Bradford. 'He dealt with the pressure of Bradford's run-in excellently and, for me, he was one of their best performers. He's a proper athlete, gives us a huge amount of pace, and we think we can develop him. 'He's a different profile of full-back to what we already have, and I think he can add a lot to our squad.' As for the 21-year-old former St Kevin's and St Mochta's defender, Adaramola said: 'I'm excited and over the moon to be here. I can't wait to get going. 'I had a great time at Bradford last season, and I want to push on and achieve similar things here. I got my confidence back whilst playing there and it showed on the pitch.' Andrews reacts as his first training camp as Brentford boss comes to a close

Keith Andrews has hailed his first training camp as Brentford boss as a success - after the Premier League side finished up with a 1-1 draw against Gil Vicente. The Bees are in Portugal for a week, at Cidade do Fuetbol, the home of the Portuguese Football Federation, and they return home on Tuesday. On Friday they took on the Primeira Liga side, where Andrews gave a runout to Caoimhin Kelleher and Nathan Collins, and played two different 11s in each half. He told the club's website: 'I was pleased, overall, really pleased. The week, in general, has been geared towards this game. The plan was always to play the majority of players for 45 minutes in two different halves. 'The first half had the more senior players playing, getting to know each other, things we'd worked on in training, maybe not to the level we wanted, but it's pre-season and that's why we're working on it. 'Second half, I was slightly disappointed with the start, we were a bit passive, but then we got a grip of the game and the last half-hour we were solid. 'The younger team out there will gain confidence from that - they looked dangerous and kept them relatively quiet coming the other way.' He added: 'I've loved it, I've loved every minute of it. We were here last year, so we know the facilities and we know the hotel, which gives you a level of comfort with the surroundings. 'And we've pushed the players and pushed the boundaries to where we want to bring them. 'We've been demanding of them, but we want to find the balance of also giving them the space, like they will have on their day off on Saturday.' One downside to the trip was the injury suffered by Gustavo Nunes during the Gil Vicente game. Andrews was asked how serious the injury was and he replied: 'I'm not sure. I've just spoken to him very briefly, but he's obviously felt his hamstring; that's pretty clear for everyone to see. 'It's devastating for him because he's come back slightly earlier from his holiday to get ready for pre-season and put himself in the position. 'After a frustrating season last year with injuries, hopefully it's nothing too serious, because he's a talented player.'
