This Monday, we're gearing up to watch 22 New Zealanders lie, cheat and betray their way to winning up to $100,000 (£44,000).That's right, it's time for series two of The Traitors NZ, filmed at Claremont Manor at the foot of Mount Horrible (no, really).As with the British version, the show is a study in human nature, as alliances form early on, and suspicions run rife.The series already aired in NZ, with the New Zealand Herald saying it could be 'the reality TV hit of the year'.But one thing it doesn't have is Claudia Winkleman and her epic wardrobe.Instead, it's hosted by New Zealand broadcaster Paul Henry. Don't worry, his outfits are just as fabulous.
Yungblud's shackles are off
Yungblud, the chart-topping singer who set up his own festival, is dropping his new album Idols on Friday.I was lucky enough to see him at a party in central London recently, where I got a sneak preview of the new album - a blend of his signature pop-punk and emotional depth.The 27-year-old artist - whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison - was there alongside Florence Pugh, who stars in the music video for one of his new songs, Zombie.He said the new record, made in the north of England with his best mates, was his "most ambitious and exciting music to date".Yungblud is known for his committed young fanbase and, with his new album, he's said he wants to make that community even bigger.Harking back to the sounds of Queen and David Bowie, he told my colleague Mark Savage that it would "reclaim the good chords" (Asus4 and Em7, in case you're wondering). "The shackles are off," he said.
28 Years Later hits cinemas

Batten down the hatches and don't make a sound - this week sees director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland unleash 28 Years Later.It's a long-awaited return for the UK-based zombie horror series that first infected audiences in 2002 with 28 Days Later.The protagonist, 12-year-old Spike (Alfie Williams), lives with his parents Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Isla (Jodie Comer). He's only ever known life on an island connected to the quarantined British mainland by a single, heavily defended causeway.I've seen a sneak preview, and while I can't say much, the trademark realism and unrelenting tension persists. Fans of The Last of Us will love this.As for those fan theories sparked by the trailer? Despite speculation that Cillian Murphy appears as a zombie, Boyle has confirmed to IGN that the Oscar-winner, who made his name in the original film, will only reprise his role as Jim in the next instalment - already shot and due for release next year.

It is perhaps not so surprising that a video game created by two veteran voice actors opens with the main character at risk of losing their job to AI.But where Date Everything! goes next is somewhat more unexpected.Players don a pair of high-tech glasses called "Dateviators" that turn household objects including fridges, doors and lamps into potential love interests.Creators Robbie Daymond (Critical Role) and Ray Chase (X-Men '97, Jujutsu Kaisen) obviously raided their contact books, as each item is brought to life in the form of a human cartoon avatar created by a star from the worlds of gaming and anime.In a bit of fortuitous timing, this celebration of their craft arrives on consoles and PCs from Tuesday, just days after a months-long video game acting strike was suspended.
Flip out over Benson Boone's new album

King of the backflip Benson Boone had the most-streamed track in the world last year with Beautiful Things - earning enough money to buy his first house - but now he's ready to move on."I'm getting to the point where I just want people to know that there's more than just that song," he told Rolling Stone earlier this year.The results have been mixed. His comeback single Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else, a propulsive new wave anthem, peaked at number 20 in the UK charts, while Beautiful Things still continued to remain stubbornly lodged in the top 10.But his new album, American Heart, is worth your attention. The title track is a widescreen anthem about a near-fatal car accident he got into as a teenager; Mr Electric Blue is a spirited tribute to his dad (featuring the lyric, "Watch the way you talk to me/If you want to keep your two front teeth"); and the second single Mystical Magical features a falsetto so ridiculous its almost endearing.Repackaging the sounds of Queen and Elton John for the TikTok generation, it's efficient and catchy – though I'd avoid the saccharine Momma Song if you have an aversion to schmaltz.

It might have been all about first-time thrills on screen, but behind the cameras of Virgin Island, things were far less steamy. While the series followed 12 virgins hoping to ditch their inexperience on national telly, it has been claimed that those working behind the scenes - including intimacy coaches Danielle Harel and Celeste Hirschman - were slapped with a strict sex ban. A source told The Sun: 'Location shoots like this are usually a hotbed for hook-ups. But Virgin Island was no fun for anyone except the virgins. 'Production wanted to make them feel comfortable and unintimidated. 'This sort of crew sex ban is unheard of in the TV world, but is very responsible of Channel 4.' The groundbreaking Channel 4 show hit screens in May and saw 12 adults embark on a journey of self discovery and openness to intimacy. Lead by sexologists Dr Danielle Harel and Celeste Hirschman and their team, they guided the group of virgins, aged between 22 and 30, on a unique course. The six-part series quickly became one of the most talked-about programmes of the year and broke records for the broadcaster. Packed with shocking scenes and emotional moments, the series was the biggest streaming hit across scripted and unscripted shows this year for Channel 4. During its first 28 days, Virgin Island's episode one became the most watched show for those aged 16-34 on Channel 4 in 2025. The controversial show attracted a whopping 1.4million viewers per episode on average. Now, it has been confirmed that Virgin Island has been recommissioned for a second series. TV boss Jonah Weston said: 'It's been such a thrill to watch this show catch fire. 'This is a live issue among young people, and from the brave cast to our wonderful experts I don't think I've ever worked on anything quite so bold, warm and well-intentioned. 'Watch out for season 2 which will be bigger and bolder than ever!' While Dave, who lost his virginity on the island to surrogate partner Kat, has urged people to apply. He said: 'I had an amazing time on the Island, and I'm truly thankful for the time I spent there. 'Anyone who has watched the show will have seen how much my confidence grew over the course of the series, and I can't speak highly enough of the experts and production team for making us feel so safe and secure. However, the record-breaking show has been hit with controversy too and faced plenty of complaints from viewers. Some felt uncomfortable by the intimate scenes between surrogates and the contributors being broadcast so openly. Before it even hit screens last month some telly watchers were shocked by the concept alone and accused Channel 4 of 'scraping the barrel'. When Dave lost his virginity on the programme those watching at home were delighted for him, but were surprised to see such an intimate moment play out on screen. Sharing their thoughts, viewers said: 'Probably the most uncomfortable viewing. Only lasted 20mins and had to turn it off, felt like I was watching a love cult in action. 'Virgin Island is a hideous concept for a TV show. Why would you agree to go on it, to get exploited, even if you're getting paid!?'; 'Well guys, that's the end of #VirginIsland, it's been... weird.'; 'That Virgin Island is one disgustingly difficult watch man Jesus Christ'; 'Is anyone else watching Virgin Island on Channel 4? MAGA barbie Savannah Chrisley shares heartwarming first hug with father Todd after prison release
Reality Star Savannah Chrisley took to Instagram Sunday to celebrate her first Father's Day in years with her dad Todd Chrisley. The 27-year-old reality start and influencer celebrated her reunion with her father, who was was pardoned by President Donald Trump last month. Savannah told 3.1 million followers on the social media site, "Father's Day looks a little different these days,' with a hysterical emoji. Savannah wrapped up in saying, 'I sure do. Love you, daddy!! God is good!!' Savannah accompanied the holiday post with footage of herself and Todd, 56, leaving a jail facility in Florida, where he had been in custody and connection with his and wife Julie's 2022 bank fraud and tax evasion convictions. Savannah had worked tirelessly on behalf of her parents after they went into custody. Todd, 55, and Julie, 52, were found guilty by a Georgia jury in November of 2022 of accusations of tax evasion and more than $30 million in bank fraud. Todd and Julie were serving a collective 17 years in custody - Todd is serving a 12-year sentence, which was later reduced to 10 years, while Julie was serving a seven-year sentence - at prisons in Florida and Kentucky respectively. They had been there for more than two years since beginning their sentences in January of 2023. Savannah in February told People about her hopes to gain an audience with Trump, who she supported during the 2024 election cycle, speaking in July at the Republican National Convention. 'I know that I am going through the proper channels to do so,' the Atlanta native said of the pardon process. 'And I'm going to bring as much awareness to it as possible because these things should not happen.' Savannah's statement came about three months after exclusively reported the day after the election that Todd Chrisley had been 'jumping for joy in prison' over Trump's defeat of Democratic challenger Kamala Harris. 'Savannah truly believes that Trump will pardon her parents,' a source told November 6. The couple - who were initially indicted in August 2019 - said they were innocent of the crimes they were convicted of and had filed multiple appeals to have their sentences reversed. Todd, 55, and Julie, 52, were found guilty by a Georgia jury in November of 2022 of accusations of tax evasion and more than $30 million in bank fraud Savannah said that she planned to inform Trump about the 'corruption in Fulton County,' Georgia and 'how the judge handled the case' in asking for the pardons. The argument might hit home for the president, who repeatedly accused Georgia officials of corruption in his January 2, 2021 phone call to state election officials. In the infamous call, the president asked election officials to 'find 11,780 votes' in his favor in the 2020 presidential election. Savannah told People her family 'stood in the truth' and 'stood in what we knew to be the truth' but were ultimately let down by a broken legal system that left her family in a state of shock after her parents were convicted and sentenced. 'We just saw all of it and we're like, "There's no way. There's no way it's going to end this way,"' Savannah said. 'But, it did.' The Chrisley Knows Best star told the outlet of how the the family's problems have impacted her, as she has taken over the role of legal guardian of her siblings Grayson, 18, and Chloe, 12, when she was 25. 'I think that I've gone through a lot of s*** in my life, I really have,' Savannah told the outlet. 'And I've gone through a lot of things that I've never even publicly spoken about. 'When you fight silent battles, resilience just comes. When you fight silent battles, there was no one that was there for you.' The Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast host explained how she has become more resilient with age, wisdom and life experience. 'Whether you didn't allow someone to be there for you, or whether you just didn't have people there, you just learned to pick yourself up,' she said. Savannah told the outlet that her father Todd 'was a constant encourager' who imbued her with an upbeat attitude ready to take on all challenges life presents. 'I come from a place [where] my dad was very much just like, "Come on, we can do this. We can do this. You can do anything a man can do, if not better,"' Savannah said. Savannah said that her ability to bounce back from adversity comes from 'having that encouragement' from her loved ones. 'Also, knowing that I don't ever want to give up, and I want to give my future children something to look at and be proud of,' Savannah told the outlet. 'I have such a fight mentality in me. I'm a Leo to its core. So, I just don't give up.' In November, a source told that Savannah had been tirelessly working to free her parents over the past few years, spurring her appearance at the RNC. 'Ever since they were convicted she has spent every waking hour campaigning to free them and when she found the loophole through the RNC she jumped on it,' the source said. Savannah 'took that stage in the hope of seeing her parents walk out of jail and it will likely happen' and was 'gloating' over Trump's election day dominance. The source added that 'everyone is just hoping that she stops going on' in her efforts to upend the legal decisions, but it is clear she is moving forward.
