aircraft was cleared for operations on Friday after it underwent standard security checks following a non-specific alert, the airline said in a statement, reported Moneycontrol.
'A non-specific security alert was detected on one of our aircraft. Standard security procedures were duly carried out, and the aircraft has been cleared for the next flight,' an Air India spokesperson said, adding, 'Air India accords top priority to the safety and security of its passengers and crew.'
The airline did not disclose details such as the route, the number of passengers, or the timing of the incident.

was held back for over five hours on June 25 after hay was found stuck in one of the aircraft's wings. 'This was immediately attended to, and the aircraft was subsequently cleared for operation,' the airline said.
While Air India did not confirm specifics, flight-tracking website Flightradar24.com showed that flight AI 2354, operated by an Airbus A320Neo, was scheduled to depart Mumbai at 7:45 am and took off only around 1 pm.

In another incident earlier this week, an Air India Express flight from Jaipur to Dubai was cancelled on Monday after the pilot reported a technical glitch before take-off. The aircraft, a 189-seater Boeing 737 Max, was scheduled to depart at 6:35 am but returned from the runway after the snag was detected.
'While it was on the runway, a technical snag came to the notice of the pilot, following which the take off was aborted,' an airport official said. The flight was subsequently cancelled after technical checks were carried out.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh govt on Friday signed more than 80 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with leading international and domestic investors in the private tourism sector, amounting to 10,328 crore. Thane: The deteriorating condition of Ghodbunder Highway has returned to haunt motorists, leading to frequent massive traffic congestions and delays in travel time for Mumbai commuters using the arterial highway especially along the Thane and Mira-Bhayender city fringes. This crucial 14 km highway cutting through Thane and Mira-Bhayender city limits connects the Eastern and Western Express Highways at Mumbai's northern tip, linking Nashik, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Konkan, and Gujarat. Over a lakh vehicles—local, inter-city, buses, and freight—use it daily. Regulars say the worst damaged stretches along the highway are at Kajupada, Chena Bridge, and Nira Kendra on the Thane-bound side, and the Gaimukh Ghat entry and Kasarwadavli junction on the Borivli-bound lanes. Hubballi: In view of the heavy rush of devotees during the Ashada Ekadashi festival, South Western Railway announced the operation of special unreserved train services between Shri Siddharoodha Swamiji, Hubballi, and Pandharpur. These trains are intended to facilitate smooth travel for pilgrims participating in the annual celebrations. Train No. 07313 SSS Hubballi–Pandharpur Unreserved Special will depart from Hubballi at 5.10am and reach Pandharpur at 4am the same day, with en route halts at Dharwad, Alnavar, Londa, Khanapur, Desur, Belagavi, Pachhapur, Gokak Road, Ghatprabha, Chikodi Road, Raybag, Chinchli, Kudachi, Ugar Khurd, Shedbal, Vijayanagar, Miraj, Arag, Dhalgaon, Jath Road, Wasud, and Sangola. Train No. 17334 Castle Rock – Miraj Express will be temporarily extended to run up to Pandharpur. The service will operate between Castle Rock and Pandharpur from July 4 to 9. There will be no change in timings between Castle Rock and Vijayanagar. In the extended portion, the train will arrive/depart Miraj at 12.20am/12.50am, reaching Pandharpur at No. 17331 Miraj – SSS Hubballi Express will be temporarily extended to originate from Pandharpur instead of Miraj. The service from Pandharpur to SSS Hubballi will run from July 5 to 10. The train will depart from Pandharpur at 4am, arrive at Miraj at 6.45am, and depart at 7.15am, with no change in timings from Vijayanagara to Hubballi.
