Forged professional licensing certificates to attract legal action, Ministry of Labour warns
Muscat: The Ministry of Labour has warned individuals and companies against submitting forged Professional Classification and Licensing Certificates, stressing that such violations will lead to legal accountability and action. In a statement, the Ministry said it has detected repeated cases of forged certificates and reminded that only licences issued by authorised Sector Skills Units, licensed by the Ministry, are valid. Any classification or licence obtained from unapproved training institutes or assessment centres will be deemed invalid. The Ministry added that monitoring of these institutes will be intensified, and any violations will result in legal consequences. It emphasised that professional classification and licensing are not formalities but essential to ensure quality and efficiency of work, strengthen employer and client confidence, protect professions from unqualified practices, and enhance employment opportunities both locally and internationally.
