
Kuwait begins quest for Arab U-18 Volleyball Championship glory
The 'Blues' begin their group-stage matches against Palestine at 7:00 p.m. at Prince Hamzah Hall, following the Libya–Lebanon clash at 5:00 p.m. on the same court. Kuwait will then face Bahrain on Sunday and Iraq the following Wednesday.
Following the withdrawal of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the Arab Volleyball Association revised the tournament format. The updated groups are: Group A — Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, and Jordan; Group B — Bahrain, Palestine, Iraq, and Kuwait. The top four teams from both groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
Kuwait's delegation is led by Kuwait Volleyball Association board member Hamoud Al-Badhali and includes head coach Mohammed Abdulrazzaq, assistant coach Mishal Al-Subaie, physiotherapist Dr. Moataz Ezzeldin, team manager Abdullah Al-Rais, and 12 players: Mohammed Al-Doukhi, Salem Al-Shammari, Abdullah Al-Ali, Mishari Al-Mutawtah, Ahmed Al-Sarheed, Salem Khaddadah, Fahad Ayadah, Saad Al-Failakawi, Bader Bouarki, Bandar Al-Ahmad, Abdulaziz Al-Obaid, and Nasser Al-Sanea.
As part of their preparations, the team recently completed a training camp in Cairo, Egypt, where they played several warm-up matches.

Bahrain dominates Kuwait at the Arab Junior Basketball Championship
CAIRO, Aug 12; Kuwait junior basketball team suffered a heavy 81-57 loss to Bahrain at the Cairo Stadium Complex, during the third round of the 22nd Arab Junior Basketball Championship. With this defeat, the Blues now have 4 points, earned from a win over Qatar and losses to Tunisia and Bahrain. Meanwhile, Bahrain remains unbeaten with three straight wins over Qatar, Algeria, and Kuwait, accumulating 6 points and leading the tournament.
