
World Police Summit Awards 2025 Opens Nominations, Expands Categories to Recognize AI and Innovation in Policing
Dubai is set to host the fourth edition of the prestigious World Police Summit Awards, with nominations now open for law enforcement professionals worldwide.
This year, the awards introduce two new categories—Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in Policing and the Innovation Award for Startups—bringing the total number of award categories to 12.
The awards celebrate excellence across multiple policing and security domains, including criminal investigation, forensic science, road safety, anti-narcotics, and customer service in policing. Special recognitions, such as the Inspiring Female Officer Award and the Good Samaritan Award, highlight the contributions of individuals dedicated to public safety.
A key highlight of the annual World Police Summit, the awards ceremony will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 13-15, 2025. The summit, recognized as a global platform for law enforcement, brings together experts, academics, and government officials to discuss critical challenges, including advancements in AI, cybersecurity, and cross-border crime prevention.
According to Captain Marwan Abdullah Al Mulla, Head of the World Police Summit Awards, 'The awards provide a significant opportunity to honor law enforcement professionals. The introduction of new categories reflects the evolving role of technology in policing.'
This year's edition has witnessed a 55% surge in nominations compared to 2024, which recognized winners from Brazil, Italy, Spain, Canada, India, Qatar, Pakistan, and the UAE. Nominees undergo a rigorous selection process led by global policing experts, with final winners chosen from three finalists in each category.
Nominations remain open until March 31, 2025, with eligibility criteria available on the official awards website.

Among sectors, professional, scientific, and technical activities topped the list, with 55 percent of firms implementing ESG initiatives. The insurance, financial services, and real estate sector followed at 52 percent, with the transport and storage sector at 50 percent. On the environmental front, waste management emerged as the top initiative, followed by efforts to reduce pollution, address climate change, and promote sustainable procurement. Social initiatives focused primarily on transparency and communication, while governance priorities included ethics, compliance, leadership, and risk management. The survey also highlighted growing circular economy practices, with businesses adopting advanced recycling, collaborating with external stakeholders, and developing sustainable products. The findings signal a notable shift in how companies across Dubai are aligning with ESG standards—driven not only by regulation but also by a broader commitment to long-term value and responsible growth. The agency has been ranked as the strongest police brand on a global scale, leading the Institutional Brand Value Index released by Brand Finance. The force achieved a AAA+ rating and an overall score of 9.2 out of 10 following an extensive comparative analysis conducted across 10 countries, gathering insights from over 8,000 stakeholders and relevant entities. The evaluation assessed public perception based on professionalism, integrity, effectiveness, fairness, and transparency, showcasing the strong community trust and ethical conduct associated with Dubai Police.
