Hot air balloon makes emergency landing in Sacramento
(FOX40.COM) – A hot air balloon made an emergency landing Sunday morning, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.
Around 8:15 a.m., SCSO said a hot air balloon made an emergency landing in a Rancho Cordova neighborhood near Chrysanthy Way and Grey Owl Boulevard. After landing, the balloon was deflated and all passengers were able to get out. Deputies responded to the scene, however, no injuries or property damage was reported.
It is unclear what prompted the emergency landing. The incident happened amid the 19th annual California Capital Airshow which was happening a few miles away at Mather Field Airport. Officials said the hot air balloon was not affiliated with the show.
