PLAYERS of an SPFL club were 'appalled' last night after an incident following a Premier Sports Cup tie left a young supporter requiring medical treatment.
Partick Thistle moved two points clear at the top of Group B with a 2-0 win over Queen of the South at Firhill on Tuesday night.

The Jags are now in the driving seat to progress to the next stage after another impressive evening for Mark Wilson's side.
But the third consecutive League Cup win was marred by shocking scenes after full-time.
Both clubs have confirmed that Police Scotland are dealing with an incident which left the young supporter injured.
It's being widely suggested online that young Queen of the South fans were targeted and had their drum nicked by Thistle supporters.
It's claimed one of the Queen of the South fans sustained a head injury in the altercation.
The individual was treated by Partick Thistle's medical team inside the stadium and the club have since admitted that players and staff were shocked by the incident.
A statement read: "Players and officials of Partick Thistle were appalled at the incident that occurred after the final whistle in last night's game with Queen of the South at The Wyre Stadium at Firhill.
"We thank the group of home and away fans that came to the assistance of the young visiting supporter in the aftermath and also thank our first team medical staff who applied treatment in the club's physio department.
"Queen of the South have provided an update this morning and we are pleased to hear that the young person involved is doing well and echo their wishes for a speedy recovery.
"The matter is now in the hands of Police Scotland."
A Queen of the South statement read: "The club are disappointed with the incident that took place after our cup tie against Partick Thistle last night.
"We are delighted to hear that those involved are ok and wish them a speedy recovery. Supporters should be allowed to follow their team safely and we are pleased that the matter is now being handled by Police Scotland.
"Thank you to all the Partick and Queens fans who helped in the aftermath and to Partick Thistle FC for their assistance."
