New Delhi: The tariff war between the United States and China has been ongoing since Donald Trump's second term in office began. It is believed that the increase in tariffs on Chinese exports by the Trump administration will hit the Dragon hard. In particular, there could be a sharp rise in unemployment there, and the economy, which has been growing for decades, could go into recession. A report from The New York Times estimates that if the tariff war continues like this, 9 million jobs could be lost in China's manufacturing sector. Additionally, property growth in China is already significantly down.
In China, the unemployment rate has already gone into double digits. New graduates coming out of universities and colleges are facing difficulties in finding jobs. As such, millions of people in China are already caught in the quagmire of unemployment, and the tariff war with the United States could further exacerbate this crisis. In fact, there are alone 100 million jobs in the manufacturing sector in China. This month, an agreement was reached between Chinese and American officials to temporarily reduce tariffs. The reason is that neither country wants to enter a full-blown trade war, as there are fears that this could lead both economies into recession.
According to a report by investment bank Natixis, if the tariffs imposed by the United States continue to be implemented in the same manner, China's exports to the United States could be halved. In such a scenario, 6 million jobs in the manufacturing sector could be lost. Furthermore, if the tariff war escalates and turns into a trade war, the number of job losses could rise to 9 million (90 lakh).
It is worth mentioning that just last month, a report from Goldman Sachs also stated that due to American decisions on China, 16 million jobs could be at risk. The report indicated that if the conflict between China and the United States continues, there will be pressure on the labour market. Such a situation will create a crisis for jobs, especially in the manufacturing and retail sectors.

Musk drug problems: Musk reportedly battled bladder issues linked to near-daily Ketamine use while endorsing Trump for president

ADVERTISEMENT FAQs ADVERTISEMENT Elon Musk used ketamine almost every day, according to people close to him. His bladder problems started around the same time he was supporting Donald Trump for president. Musk also mixed ketamine with other drugs, including ecstasy and magic mushrooms. His drug use blurred the line between medical treatment and fun, which worried his friends, as per had claimed earlier that he used a small amount of ketamine once every two weeks to treat depression. But hours before a planned appearance in the White House with Trump, sources said his drug use was way more than that. He travelled with a pill box carrying 20 tablets, some looked like Adderall, according to The New York Times Low, a neuroscientist and ex-friend, said Musk's behavior had worsened and mentioned a 'Nazi-like' salute at a rally. It's unclear if Musk continued using drugs after entering the White House, but his behavior became weirder. He insulted cabinet members, gave confused interview answers, and lost focus during White House events, as per the same time, the media was full of stories about his complex personal life, including having many kids with different women. On Wednesday, Musk quit his government role and said he's going back to running his businesses. Neither Musk nor his lawyer responded when asked about the drug had earlier said he didn't like illegal drugs and used ketamine only because it was prescribed for depression. SpaceX , which does work for the US government, is supposed to be drug-free. But Musk was warned in advance before random drug tests. At Tesla, some board members were also worried about Musk's drug use, as stated in The Wall Street Journal told Don Lemon last year that he only used 'a small amount' and said if he took too much, he wouldn't be able to work. Musk supported Trump strongly last summer, especially after Trump survived an assassination attempt, as per October, Musk and Trump appeared on stage together, and Musk even jumped up energetically. After Trump's election, Musk stayed at Mar-a-Lago, helped with building the administration, and planned to reduce the federal workforce using Harris, a public thinker, accused Musk of spreading lies on social media and said Musk might have a broken moral compass. Stephen Miller, one of Trump's top aides, said Musk's drug use wasn't a concern. He said, 'The drugs we're worried about are crossing the border.'Sources close to him told The New York Times that he used it almost every Musk was backing Trump for president while reportedly using drugs and acting oddly.

Aaron Rodgers blasts Donald Trump's leadership, says he enabled government overreach during the pandemic

Aaron Rodgers expressed skepticism toward Trump's actions as president (Getty Images) In a surprising twist that merges NFL headlines with political theater, former President Donald Trump used a campaign-style event in Braddock, Pennsylvania to heap praise on Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Mason Rudolph—while subtly sidelining free agent Aaron Rodgers in the process. Donald Trump publicly backs Mason Rudolph over Aaron Rodgers, sparking NFL and political firestorm Donald Trump's comments came during a speech announcing Nippon Steel's acquisition of U.S. Steel. But the former president quickly veered off-topic to spotlight Rudolph, calling him a potential starting quarterback for the Steelers despite Rodgers' availability and experience. 'I happen to think a really good quarterback is a man named Mason Rudolph,' Trump said. 'I think he's going to get a big shot. He's tall, he's handsome, he's got a great arm, and I have a feeling he's going to be the guy.' The endorsement was more than just praise—it was an unmistakable signal in the ongoing narrative around Rodgers, who remains unsigned despite a statistically strong 2024 season with the Jets, throwing for 3,897 yards and a 28-11 TD-INT ratio. Aaron Rodgers responds to Donald Trump history The Trump-Rodgers relationship has been anything but predictable. While Rodgers was once floated as a potential VP pick for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., he has expressed skepticism toward Trump's actions as president—particularly around COVID-19 management. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo 'Trump, okay, Trump's an outsider, all the rhetoric, we're going to drain a swamp and go after the corruption. And I don't think a lot happened,' Rodgers said in a 2024 episode of the Look Into It podcast. 'What I fault him for is Tony Fauci… he let Fauci stay in charge and shut the country down.' The comments highlight Rodgers' independence from party loyalty—and may also explain why Trump opted to spotlight Rudolph, whose media presence is quieter and who has remained out of political debates. Rudolph addresses QB noise: 'That's nothing new to me' With Trump's public backing now added to the mix, Mason Rudolph finds himself in the national spotlight. The longtime Steelers backup, who went 1-4 in five starts with the Titans last season, isn't letting the headlines distract him. 'That's nothing new to me. There's been constant noise,' Rudolph said. 'That is the nature of the NFL. So I am used to that for a long time.' ‘Peter Thiel now owns Trump': New claims emerge amid Palantir's ImmigrationOS

Concerns are mounting in Washington and beyond as new social media claims suggest billionaire Peter Thiel may wield huge influence over former President Donald Trump, especially after announcing Palantir's ImmigrationOS. 'The One Man Who Holds Sway Over President Trump: Peter Thiel,' one X user posted. The New York Times reported that the Trump administration has tapped Palantir to carry out an executive order signed in March, which instructs federal agencies to share personal data on Americans. Since the order, the administration's public communication has been notably sparse. Just last week, the company won a $795 million deal with the Department of Defence. Palantir is reportedly in talks with the Social Security Administration, the IRS, and several other government agencies to expand the use of its Foundry platform, an advanced data integration and analysis tool already deployed at the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services, and elsewhere. Following Elon Musk's so-called Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) targeted data from agencies like the IRS, Medicare, and Selective Service, Thiel's influence here is impossible to miss. 'Essentially, you have one man, Peter Thiel, who could literally control the President; something Peter Thiel will never hear is, 'No,'' the X user added.
