Deborra-Lee Furness goes makeup free as she rides an electric scooter in New York - after talk she may write tell all book about Hugh Jackman split

Daily Mail6 hours ago

Deborra-Lee Furness appeared to be moving on with her life as she stepped out in New York on Wednesday.
The Australian actress rode an electric scooter around the trendy area of Soho while wearing a helmet.
The 69-year-old went makeup free for the outing, pulled her blonde hair off her face to tuck under the head gear.
Deborra-Lee opted for a black shirt under a matching hoodie along with a pair of three quarter tights.
She completed her look with a pair of sneakers and carried a phone in a bright yellow case.

It comes reports that Deborra-Lee is planning to release a no-holds-barred 'divorce diary' detailing her painful split from Hugh Jackman and the heartbreak that followed.
The rumours claim she is currently documenting her emotional roller-coaster journey, with plans to publish the memoir once her divorce from the Wolverine star is legally finalised.
'Deb's been desperate to have her side of the story out there,' an alleged source told New Idea.
'She's been writing down all her thoughts, the good and the bad, and logging every detail of this ugly roller-coaster divorce. As soon as her lawyers allow it, she will be talking to publishers about a deal.'
The revelations come just weeks after Deb filed official divorce papers, ending her 27-year marriage to Hugh, 55, and issuing a powerful public statement where she spoke of her 'traumatic journey of betrayal'.
Deborra-Lee earlier opened up about her feelings of 'betrayal' in a blistering statement to the Daily Mail.
Hugh and Deborra-Lee's split appeared to turn bitter when she spoke about her 'traumatic journey of betrayal' in the wake of her divorce filing last month.
'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' she said.
'It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.'
She continued: 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage.
'I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.
'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.'
She concluded her statement with the 'one thing' she has learned, which is 'that none of this is personal.'
Deb's emotional declaration signalled a turning point in what had largely been a quiet and dignified separation - until now.
Sources claim that while Deb is remaining composed publicly, behind closed doors she's preparing to reclaim her narrative with a raw and honest memoir that could shine a spotlight on Jackman's new romance with Broadway star Sutton Foster.
The New Idea insider added that the actress won't be holding back: 'She won't be silenced. This is her truth.'
Meanwhile, tensions are said to be rising between Jackman and Foster, 50, as he pushes to integrate his new partner into the family unit he once shared with Deb.
The Aussie actor is reportedly eager for Sutton to form a bond with his and Deborra-Lee's adopted children - Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19 - but the process hasn't been smooth.
'Sutton begged Hugh to stop forcing the situation,' a source claimed to New Idea, adding that the Broadway star is keen to delay any introductions until the divorce is officially settled.
'It was Oscar's birthday recently and Ava's is coming up in July and Hugh couldn't see an issue with wanting to include his other half,' the insider explained. 'But Sutton's anxious about rushing things and believes it's too soon.'
Foster, who also shares an adopted daughter, Emily, 7, with ex-husband Ted Griffin, is said to be treading carefully, especially with the shadow of Deb's scathing comments still lingering.
The cracks in the Jackman-Furness split were further exposed last week when Hugh was spotted out in public for the first time since Deb's explosive statement, fuelling rumours that the once amicable separation has turned bitter behind the scenes.
If Deborra-Lee's book plans go ahead, it's likely to be one of the most anticipated celebrity memoirs in years - and with decades of Hollywood secrets, personal struggles, and a headline-grabbing split to unpack, publishers will no doubt be lining up.

Justin Bieber's father's day ended in 'bitter' showdown with his wife Hailey who branded him a 'f***ing child' after 'broken' star shared erratic posts online where he called her a 'lil ho'

Justin Bieber's Father's Day reportedly ended in a bitter showdown with his wife Hailey after he spent the day posting bizarre messages on Instagram. The singer, 31, failed to share any tribute to his wife, 28, or their nine-month old son Jack Blues Bieber on the day, aside from seemingly referring to her as a 'lil ho'. Instead he shared a barrage of bizarre pictures and messages on his social media, including private messages in which he admitted to being 'traumatized' before cutting out a friend for struggling to accept his 'anger.' According to reports, Hailey was 'beyond furious' and branded her husband a 'f***ing child', as she begged him to seek professional help rather than sharing rambling messages online. Justin also shared a personal statement referred to himself as 'broken' and spoke about how he struggles with anger, healing and self-worth. One of the posts, where he showed off two Prada backpacks, a MacBook and a gold and diamond Audemars Piguet watch, which may have been gifts from Hailey. Justin referenced Father's Day and wrote: 'Happy daddies day to me u lil ho'. In response, Hailey took a savage swipe at her husband following his brutal remark towards her on Mother's Day in which he declared 'Mother's Day sucks a**.' Returning the remark, Hailey wrote: 'Father's Day sucks a**'. Back in May, the Peaches singer had a concerning outburst on Mother's Day when Hailey was celebrating the holiday as a mom for the first time. An insider told the Sun that this latest outburst, which comes months after Justin was pictured at a strip club, has rocked the couple. A source told the publication: 'The post really set her off — she told him it was one of the dumbest things he's ever done like 'feeding raw meat to a pack of lions who want to eat you alive.' The mother of one is apparently desperate for him to go to therapy for his issues, with the insider saying: 'She's been telling him for a while to get help - see a therapist, talk to someone who can help him manage his anger and mood swings. Hailey didn't want him to post that message' They added: 'She's fed up with his childish behaviour and the constant negativity he brings onto himself. She told him to stop being a 'f*****g child' and to finally start listening to the people who care about him.' 'I'm a dad that's not to be f***ed with,' he wrote with a weary-eyed selfie on Sunday During the day, Justin shared around 20 posts with the middle finger emoji as the caption, including several with his son. 'I'm a dad that's not to be f***ed with,' he wrote with a weary-eyed selfie on Sunday. He did share several selfies of himself seemingly celebrating the day as he shared a snap of him posing with a hibachi chef and a photo of Hailey sitting at a grand piano with Jack in his lap. Regardless of not posting a tribute, it appeared Hailey spent the day with the new dad as she reposted one of his snapshots of her and their son together but did not make any mention of Justin and did not wish him a happy Father's Day on social media. Instead, she shared many posts about her newest Rhode beauty release and reposted influencer snaps. Hailey, who quipped in a recent post she would be partaking in 'Lemon drop martinis and therapy all summer long,' had not posted any personal greetings to him online. This comes after Justin's brutal swipes on Mother's Day this year and when she was celebrating her first Vogue cover story — in which she opened up about 'scary' complications during labor and how she feared she would 'die' while giving birth to their first child last year. Back in May, the Peaches singer had a concerning outburst on Mother's Day when Hailey was celebrating the holiday as a mom for the first time. He was slammed by fans for being inconsiderate towards his wife when he left a note on Instagram which read: 'Love u moms but mothers day sucks a**.' The post was quickly deleted but was swiftly criticized with users shocked that he could be referring to his wife, who gave birth to Jack in August 2024. Amid months of ongoing speculation around the pair's marriage, he also faced backlash for another concerning post about Hailey's first Vogue cover. He received substantial backlash after revealing he once cruelly told his wife that she would never grace the cover of Vogue during a heated argument. As rumors of marital woes continue to ravage, Justin has continued his social media spree even as fans continue to encourage him to take a break from being online and Hailey publicly avoids the subject of his posts.

LeBron James hints at bold career change when he retires from the NBA

LeBron James may be trading out the hardwood for Hollywood after he retires from the NBA, as the living legend has hinted at making the jump to acting. James will turn 41 in the middle of the next NBA season, with his career having a few years left in it tops. Making moves to keep himself busy when that looming day comes is paramount. The Los Angeles Laker would not be the first from the sports world to be cast in major movies, as he has already dipped his toe into that world. James has previously hosted ' Saturday Night Live ' and was the star in the movie 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' - which flopped compared to its iconic predecessor. A full-time career in Hollywood would no doubt be lucrative for James, with interest from studios an unknown. 'If the scripts start to roll in and there's an opportunity for me to do some acting and I have the time... I don't mind looking at it and seeing if I can make it happen,' James said to the Hollywood Reporter. Arguably the best trio of current sports stars to make successful transitions to film and television have all come from the world of professional wrestling in Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Dave Bautista, and John Cena. The Rock's full-time professional wrestling career ended in 2004, with him making sporadic appearances inside the squared circle since. Bautista's ended in 2010 with two brief returns since, before he starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Johnson has solidified himself as one of Hollywood's leading men over the last two decades, while Cena's time in the mainstream spotlight has been a slower build, taking off in recent years. It is safe to say James has more mainstream popularity, due to the success of the NBA, and his longevity in sports, than any of those three did when their acting careers started. With James making his appeal to Hollywood studios, he now has time to figure out if the interest is mutual. James is under contract with the Lakers through the end of the 2026 season, where he would be an unrestricted free agent and come with a hefty price tag to keep playing.
