A court has jailed five criminals including a female drug supplier, with a combined sentence of 46 years in prison and fines totalling Rs485,000. The key criminal Jaweria was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined Rs125,000.0 for her involvement in drug trafficking.
She was arrested by Saddar Wah Police in October 2024 after 1.6kg of heroin was recovered from her possession. Another convict, Jahanzib, received a 9-year sentence and a Rs100,000 fine following his arrest by Sadiqabad Police in September 2024, with 1.636kg of cannabis seized from him. Similarly, Muhammad Waris was sentenced to 9 years in prison and fined Rs100,000 after Saddar Beruni Police recovered 1.57kg of cannabis in March 2025.
Zarneel, arrested by Dhamial Police in May 2023 with 2.2kg of cannabis, was also sentenced to 9 years in prison and fined Rs80,000. Muhammad Naeem, arrested by Saddar Wah Police in December 2023 with 1.54kg of cannabis, received an identical sentence of 9 years and a Rs80,000 fine.

They were apprehended after an investigation led police to their location. In the area of property crime, Gulshan Ravi police arrested three members of a professional theft ring, including its leader. The gang had broken into a garments store at night and stolen merchandise worth millions of rupees. A substantial portion of the stolen items was recovered during the operation. Separately, Ichhra police arrested a suspect involved in a major gold and cash heist from a local shop. The accused, an employee of the store, broke into the shop's locker and made off with 85 tolas of gold and a large sum of cash. Police recovered Rs100,000 in cash and the stolen gold during the arrest.

Police have arrested a man who allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs200,000 from robbery suspects in exchange for not participating in their identification parade. According to the police report, the case relates to FIR No. 1066/25 filed at Chak Jhumra police station. The suspects involved in the robbery were sent to jail for an official identification parade. However, the complainant, Azmat Ali, failed to appear for the procedure. Subsequent investigations revealed that Azmat Ali had allegedly struck a deal with the accused and accepted a bribe of Rs200,000 to deliberately avoid the identification process.

Kacha Khoh police arrested two armed robbers just 20 minutes after they looted a car and Rs147,000 in cash from two transgender individuals near Hussaina Chowk. The suspects were captured following a brief exchange of gunfire, and the stolen property was successfully recovered. According to police, Preeti and Naeem — both members of the transgender community — were traveling in a car when they were intercepted by two armed suspects, later identified as Taseer and Naqi. The suspects held them at gunpoint, physically assaulted them, and fled with their vehicle and cash toward Abdul Hakim. After receiving the complaint, Station House Officer (SHO) Kacha Khoh, Shaiban Goraya, initiated an immediate response. Checkpoints were established, and police teams launched a rapid pursuit of the fleeing robbers. Within 20 minutes, police intercepted the suspects and engaged in a brief shootout.
