A SERENE beach bar in Cornwall is said to 'feel like being in the Med' with some of the best sunsets in the country.
The Rockpool in Gwithian, Cornwall is located just 300 metres from three miles of picturesque sand.

Serving up a range of different dishes from restaurant Lula, The Rockpool sits just off of Gwithian Beach, which is known for its vibrant sunsets and seals.
One person who visited The Rockpool said: "Food, drink, atmosphere, music and staff were immense.
"Thought I was in the Med momentarily! Really recommend, the prawn skewers were superb. Will definitely be going back…"
The venue also hosts "Ibiza style sundowner sessions", according to it's Instagram - with acoustic, jazz and band music each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings and all day on a Sunday, all summer.
Many visitors note how the restaurant is the ideal spot for watching the sun set on the horizon.
A visitor said: "I sat outside and had an amazing view of the sunset. Will definitely be back here.
"Had some live music as well which is always a bonus. Definitely a cool chilled out place that is kid friendly."
Popular dishes include the restaurants "roast on the coast" which has previously included slow-cooked harissa lamb, Peri Peri chicken, Cauliflower and leek gratin.
On Lula's website, the menu is described as "a fresh fusion of Cornish, New Orleans creole and Floridian crab shack spice".
There is also a range of different breakfast options and many dishes suitable for veggies and vegans.
UK beach named one of the top 100 in the world
On Gwithian Beach itself, there is golden sand and a consistent swell great for surfers and kite surfers.
Surfers particularly enjoy the nearby 'Sheep Dips' - a large pool formed between two big rocks, that is quite deep in the middle.
For little ones, there are also plenty of exploring opportunities with rock pools, dunes and dramatic cliffs.
Lifeguards are on duty at the beach during peak season and there are a number of car parks, other cafes and amenities.
Additionally, the beach is dog-friendly year round - as is The Rockpool.
Off of the beach and 300 yards into the sea is Godrevy Island - which is home to a lighthouse that dates back to 1859.
The parish town of Hayle is also a short 10-minute drive away, or if you are feeling adventurous, takes just over an hour to walk to from Gwithian.

'And I thought "you can't do that to Fashion Rocks, who is going to host the T4 coverage?" That was some next level type of cramps walking around the Royal Albert Hall. 'It was a very weird day. I was really quite heavily pregnant with my ex and I was just so embarrassed and so scared he wouldn't want to go out with me anymore. So I kept it to myself until now.' Last year, Miquita revealed she was 'attending therapy sessions drunk' at the height of her alcoholism as she candidly discussed her struggle. The presenter previously admitted to 'losing everything' to bankruptcy and booze when she was unable to pay a £174,000 tax bill back in 2012. Speaking her Miss Me? podcast, she opened up about their experiences with therapy. One listener called in to asked if there was a particular event that made them start therapy. 'That is a whole different level of performative therapy. I was trying to pretend that I hadn't been drinking.' She continued: 'That really did feel pointless and because of how awful I realised that going to therapy drunk was that led me to stop drinking for a little bit. 'But then I found a really good therapist who did help me change my life, and continue to change my life.' Addressing her bankruptcy on BBC Three programme Young, British & Broke in 2013, she said she was so ashamed about her financial troubles that she didn't tell anybody for two years. She said: 'At 17 I was earning money I didn't know how to handle and before I knew it I owed thousands to the taxman. 'I just felt like I couldn't breathe and that I was sinking. I was so scared about my future and I didn't tell anyone for 2 years. 'When I was declared bankrupt it felt like I was in a financial mess I would never get out of.' Lily and Miquita grew up in the limelight, and spent their younger years partying incessantly, something which they have openly discussed on their podcast. They have been there for each other through many tough times but one area where they haven't been so loyal is men. On their podcast Miquita spoke of a particularly sticky time, which came before Lily's music fame, when the presenter had a crush. Taking listeners back to the early noughties when she was hosting Popworld, Channel 4's Sunday morning music show, Miquita said: 'There was a pop star. 'I found out that he fancied me. I told Lily that I liked him. Cue, Lily gets herself to a festival in Japan and seduces him.' Lily hadn't broken through as an artist yet so instead got a job in artist relations to get backstage for the gig. The conversation on their podcast got tense as Lily questioned whether Miquita had ever made her feelings clear for the man. Earthquakes, mistaken identity and a 14-hour wait for a ride: Hitchhiker lifts lid on journey from Aberdeen to Hong Kong
Despite only being halfway through his journey, John Dougan has already been mistaken multiple times for a Russian-American defector, survived an earthquake and forced to wait 14 hours for his next ride. John left the Granite City two months ago to set out on his epic hitchhiking route that will span over 14,000km and up to 25 countries – his final destination, Aberdeen, Hong Kong. The 32-year-old recently found himself worn out and struggling with his mental health. John was seeking a more independent life, which led him to quit his corporate job and create his social channels. He wanted to share honest content with users, highlighting the highs and lows of his trip. His journey across the globe has thrown up various challenges beyond the regular hurdles of hitchhiking. John, originally from Glasgow, has been stopped multiple times at borders and mistaken American-Russian defector John Mark Dougan. Not only do the two share the same first and last names, but they both have the same birthday. John Mark Dougan is a former U.S. Marine who fled to Russia in 2016, accused of running websites that spread Russian propaganda. He said: 'At the borders, they are a little bit worried we are the same person, so it became a problem 'But because Turkey is such a big country I haven't had to deal with it in a few weeks, thankfully' said John. John Mark Dougan now follows the hitchhiker on Instagram and often likes and comments on his posts. John spoke about the troubles he faced with getting from place to place. He said: 'It can become quite a challenge, but it depends where you are. Cities are very difficult to get out of and its all about positioning. It becomes a bit of a skill that you pick up and you learn techniques.' He told The Press & Journal that cultural differences have played a huge part in his journey so far, explaining that some cultures are more open to hitchhiking than others. 'You see countries through a different lens, and you get to know the people and the culture of a country much better,' John added. However, it hasn't all been plain sailing for John. While at the German-Austrian border, he was left waiting 14 hours for a lift as nobody stopped. He continued: 'It was hard because it was still relatively early into the trip, and it was one of those moments where I thought, is this even going to be possible?' While in southeastern Turkey, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck the area John was passing through. At least one person has died in the quake. John said: 'I've been in a couple of earthquakes before but when you wake up during the night and the whole building is shaking, its quite scary.' On top of waiting for a ride and navigating an earthquake, John has also had to balance his budget. Having travelled before, he's no stranger to the cost of seeing the world. Money was a topic that came up in most conversations on his journey towards Hong Kong. Many drivers have discussed inflation and how it has affected countries in Europe as well as Turkey and Albania. He said: 'Countries that were once inexpensive to travel and live in are now almost equivalent to European prices.' John is currently in southeastern Turkey and plans to go on to the Caucasus region, across the Caspian Sea and into Kazakhstan and China.
