Man found in sewer drain after large search forces shelter-in-place in Montgomery County

The suspect has been identified as Trevor Walker.

Springboro officers located a stolen white Toyota Sienna on State Route 741 near Pennyroyal Road. When the officer tried to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle drove off and a chase ensued.
The vehicle got onto Interstate 675 and then exited onto State Route 725.
The chase ended in a crash at the intersection of SR 725 and Paragon Road. At that time, Walker ran from the vehicle.

There was also a female passenger in the vehicle. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said late Monday morning that she was taken into custody and was treated for injuries.
Both Walker and the female, who is believed to be a juvenile, had been reported missing from Kentucky.
During a search for Walker, a shelter-in-place advisory was issued for the area after police found ammunition and firearms in the stolen vehicle. Officers also learned he had reportedly been involved in recent armed robberies.
WKYT, a CBS affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky, confirmed with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in Kentucky that Walker broke into a home in the county overnight.
As reported on News Center 7 at 5:00, our crew on the scene saw dozens of Montgomery County Sheriff's Office SWAT team members rush into the neighborhood to assist with the search.
One six-man SWAT squad, with a K9, spotted the Walker and convinced him to come out.
'He was soaked,' Major Jeremy Roy, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office chief of staff, said. 'He was in probably three feet of water down there.'
News Center 7's cameras caught Walked being escorted into the back of a Springboro police cruiser. He was followed by at least a dozen officers, deputies, and SWAT members.
'This is about as dangerous as you get,' Roy said. 'Number one, we have somebody that went into a house and did an aggravated robbery; they stole guns. I don't know how many people's lives they put on [the] line coming up 75 at 100 miles per hour.'
People in the area told News Center 7 the large search was not something they were expecting to see.
'It's not something you see every day, that's for sure,' Scott Sherman, of Washington Township, said.
As shown on News Center 7 at 6:00, seeing the man being taken into custody was a relief for neighbors.
'Especially with school starting in two days,' Jeskika Beebe, of Washington Township, said. 'I even told my husband, our youngest will go to that school right here on Paragon. I was like, 'She would have been scared.''

Man ran down road 'covered in blood and screaming for help'
A man was seen running down a quiet residential road covered in blood and screaming for help, a neighbour said. Merseyside Police officers were called to Sandbrook Way in Ainsdale following reports of a man suffering a small puncture wound to his shoulder at 1.35am on Tuesday, August 12. He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a stable condition. Following inquiries, a 41-year-old man of no fixed abode and a 54-year-old woman from Ainsdale have both been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent. The man was also arrested for criminal damage. They both remain in custody. When the ECHO arrived at the scene on Tuesday afternoon, three houses remained cordoned off, one on Pinfold Lane where the incident is believed to have taken place close to Sandbrook Way, one on Bowness Avenue and another on Windermere Crescent. Blood remained on the property on Bowness Avenue. One neighbour, who was awake at the time of the incident and lives on Bowness Avenue, told the ECHO: "I was awake and it was dead quiet then I just heard a load of noise coming from the end of the road. "I looked out the window and saw a man topless and covered in blood screaming for help. He saw the window was open and knocked on the door before going next door and going to the house across the road." She said the incident took place around 1.30am before emergency services descended on the quiet estate. Another neighbour said: "He woke us up and then next thing we knew police were on the street. They have been here all day and had the dogs out earlier." One other man said: "At around 2am we saw there was a lot of police activity. The police just descended on the road and there was an ambulance at the scene too. "The police are still here now. There was blood on a property on Pinfold Lane." Sha'Carri Richardson addresses domestic violence arrest and apologizes to Christian Coleman
Sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson addressed her recent domestic violence arrest in a video on social media and issued an apology to her boyfriend Christian Coleman. Richardson posted a video on her Instagram account Monday night in which she said she put herself in a 'compromised situation.' She issued a written apology to Coleman on Tuesday morning. 'I love him & to him I can't apologize enough," the reigning 100-meter world champion wrote in all capital letters on Instagram, adding that her apology 'should be just as loud' as her 'actions.' 'To Christian I love you & I am so sorry," she wrote. Richardson was arrested July 27 on a fourth-degree domestic violence offense for allegedly assaulting Coleman at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. She was booked into South Correctional Entity in Des Moines, Washington, for more than 18 hours. Her arrest was days before she ran the 100 meters at the U.S. championships in Eugene, Oregon. In the video, Richardson said she's practicing 'self-reflection' and refuses 'to run away but face everything that comes to me head on.' According to the police report, an officer at the airport was notified by a Transportation Security Administration supervisor of a disturbance between Richardson and her boyfriend, Coleman, the 2019 world 100-meter champion. The officer reviewed camera footage and observed Richardson reach out with her left arm and grab Coleman's backpack and yank it away. Richardson then appeared to get in Coleman's way with Coleman trying to step around her. Coleman was shoved into a wall. Later in the report, it said Richardson appeared to throw an item at Coleman, with the TSA indicating it may have been headphones. The officer said in the report: "I was told Coleman did not want to participate any further in the investigation and declined to be a victim.' A message was left with Coleman from The Associated Press. Richardson wrote that Coleman 'came into my life & gave me more than a relationship but a greater understanding of unconditional love from what I've experienced in my past.' She won the 100 at the 2023 world championships in Budapest and finished with the silver at the Paris Games last summer. She also helped the 4x100 relay to an Olympic gold. Mexico and Brazil Rebut Trump's Claims About Violence in Their Cities
The leaders of two of Latin America's biggest capitals on Tuesday responded with indignation to President Trump's assertions that their cities were plagued by violent crime, disputing his remarks as he announced a federal takeover of the local police in Washington, D.C. As he addressed the takeover and a deployment of the National Guard, Mr. Trump compared crime in Washington to the levels of violence in cities that he called 'some of the places that you hear about as being the worst places on earth.' (Violent crime in Washington hit a 30-year low last year.) Mr. Trump later said that Washington's rate of violent crime was higher than in capitals of Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Iraq. 'Do you want to live in places like that?' he asked reporters. 'I don't think so.' Early on Tuesday, leaders in Mexico and Brazil defended their cities, calling Mr. Trump misinformed — and, in the case of Mexico's president, agreeing that her capital had a lower murder rate than Washington's. 'That is true,' President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico, a former Mexico City mayor, told reporters. 'What we don't agree with is when he said it was the most insecure city in Latin America, because it's not.'
