Serena Page (Braver Than the Rest of Us) Lets Boyfriend Kordell Beckham Read Her Diary

Cosmopolitan5 hours ago

Love Island USA season 6 winners/national treasures Serena Page and Kordell Beckham are coming up on their first anniversary, and to honor that, Serena went on a date with someone else. Sort of. The reality star, who's gearing up for the premiere of the new Peacock series Love Island: Beyond the Villa, joined Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Willa Bennett for pasta and martinis in the latest episode of Cosmo's Blind Date.
If you're not familiar (which you should be), on Blind Date, Willa has to guess which famous person she's dining with through a series of questions. And it wasn't hard to figure out Serena was this week's date. (The reveal that she met her partner on TV was a major tell….) But after the guessing was done, Serena and Willa dove into the standard first date topics, like their respective astrological big 3, Serena and Kordell's first post-villa date, and the reason why Serena supports going through your partner's phone. But importantly, she believes the snooping should not be one-sided, as in, both partners get to spy on each other. In fact, she's actually let Kordell read her journal, which is truly a next-level trust exercise. Watch the full episode above to hear more gems from this dream date.

Why Samantha's Text Cameo Happened in And Just Like That: Michael Patrick King Reveals Reason

Samantha Jones! I repeat, Samantha Jones! The legendary character has made another "appearance" of sorts on this season of And Just Like That..., and while it's not quite as good as having Kim Cattrall actually appear in the show, it's the next best thing. In this week's episode, Carrie gets more acquainted with her downstairs neighbor Duncan Reeve. He's from London, so naturally, she assumes Samantha knows him. Carrie sends Samantha a text to ask, and Samantha replies, "They say he's a lot of fun.... I wish he was under me." CLASSIC Samantha. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, creator Michael Patrick King explained the reasoning behind the text cameo. "In our minds, Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte are always texting Samantha, even though the herculean task of actually getting Samantha to appear can only happen every now and then," King said. "This was born out of story. We had a man from London move in underneath Carrie. How can you not draw a direct line from Man From London to Samantha, who's in London? She will know him. And so that's what Carrie would naturally do." Cattrall has famously not wanted to participate in And Just Like That..., but last season, she did appear in one scene where Samantha had a phone conversation with Carrie. She and Sarah Jessica Parker did not film the scene in the same place. Based on the "herculean task" phrasing above, it seems like it would be a huge challenge to get Kim to do another one of those cameos, and this was the solution. "So we made this effortless cameo text, a drive-by to say, like, what do you know about him? And we did put a little bit of the Sex and the City theme under it because it is a reference to another era. It's just to keep it alive," King said. While it would be nice to have Cattrall make more appearances, it does make sense to save them for the big moments. We can only hope the timing is right at some point in the future.

Ariana Madix Offers 'Love Island USA' Cast Members Tips On Handling Social Media Backlash

Season 7 of "Love Island USA" has been delivering top-notch drama for the last two weeks, and the season isn't even halfway over. With over a billion minutes streamed so far, it's unsurprising that "Love Island USA" also has a loyal fan base that constantly discusses the show's couples online. Although most of the conversation centers around the on-screen drama, online comments can often turn nasty. "Love Island USA" host Ariana Madix (who spent years on Bravo's "Vanderpump Rules"), however, is already equipping the cast and their loved ones with the tools needed to handle the pressure they'll face once the show wraps. Replying to a TikTok about the overwhelming amount of attention season 7 of "Love Island USA" is currently getting, Madix offered advice on how the cast's family members can help combat the inevitable pushback islanders will get once they're off the show. 'I also think the people running their social media pages need to be on top of blocking, deleting, and setting limits on words etc. on their pages,' she wrote. 'They shouldn't see any of that when they get their phones back.' The current cast of "Love Island USA" has everybody talking, from Angel Reese to Megan Thee Stallion. Most recently, the online conversation has centered on Huda Mustafa, 24, and her tumultuous and explosive dynamic with Jeremiah Brown, 25. Their initial connection was immediate and intense, but things took a dramatic turn by day 10, and the subsequent days haven't been much better. After a fiery cycle of fighting, screaming, tears, and name-calling, Mustafa is now "single and vulnerable," leaving her at risk of being dumped from the island. The rest of the cast includes: Ace Greene, 22 Amaya Espinal, 25 Andreina Santos, 24 Austin Shepard, 26 Chelley Bissainthe, 27 Cierra Ortega, 25 Hannah Fields, 23 Iris Kendall, 25 Nicolas (Nic) Vansteenberghe, 24 Olandria Carthen, 27 Pepe Gonzalez, 27 Taylor Williams, 24 TJ Palma, 23 Madix's message to the "Love Island USA" cast is especially timely, as the show's viewership continues to soar. According to Deadline, from June 6 to 12, season 7 has racked up 1.2 billion minutes viewed across the first nine episodes. The 1.2 billion minutes viewed is a massive leap from the previous batch of episodes. For comparison, season 6, which featured breakout stars JaNa Craig, Serena Page, and Kordell Beckham, averaged 335 million minutes viewed during the same timeframe. In a recent episode, rap superstar Megan Thee Stallion made a special appearance inside the villa to spend time with the cast and host a challenge. For the contest, viewers saw the girls take on the boys during three different rounds, which included a twerking challenge, a limbo challenge, and a puzzle challenge. During a private confessional, Megan Thee Stallion urged viewers to be gentle with the contestants and shared a powerful reminder. 'It's so easy to watch people on TV and just forget that these are real human beings,' she said. 'These are real ladies, these are real women with real feelings." Aside from the drama inside the villa, there was also drama online after cast member Yulissa Escobar was removed from the show for her past use of the N-word. However, after returning to social media, Escobar offered an apology to viewers. "First, I want to apologize for using a word I had no right in using," she said, referring to viral clips of her using the racial slur on podcasts. "In those clips, I used a word I never should've used, a racial slur," she wrote. "I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it." Escobar added, "I wasn't trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn't excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It's tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use." The reality star stated that she's "changed a lot since then" and vowed to do better in the future. "Growth means recognizing when you were wrong, even if it's uncomfortable, and choosing to move forward with humility and accountability," she stated.

Why the Casa Amor Bombshells Could Change Everything on 'Love Island USA' Season 7

Love Island USA's seventh season needs a shake-up, and Casa Amor could be the spark that lights the fire. This week, the islanders were split into two villas and introduced to a fresh group of bombshells ready to mingle. While the women met six guys at Casa, the men at the main villa cozied up to five new love interests. The latest episode, which aired June 24, showed a dramatic recoupling at both villas, leaving Olandria Carthen and Nicolas Vansteenberghe single. Both were forced to say tearful goodbyes at their respective abodes, but a cliffhanger suggested they might not be gone for good. Casa Amor has always been a fan-favorite pressure cooker, but this time, it's more than that: It's a lifeline that could turn the season on its head. So far, viewers have watched some petty tiffs and full-blown crashouts unfold, most of which were centered on the former couple Jeremiah Brown, who was recently dumped, and Huda Mustafa. But holistically, the drama has been scant, and the romantic connections have been underwhelming. Love Island's allure stems from watching Instagram model archetypes vie for love and affection, even if it means being messy and treading moral ambiguity. But this season's islanders seem a little too strategic and cautious of how viewers might perceive them, especially considering the cast of the previous season was so widely beloved. In the early episodes, some shied away from getting to know potential matches to show a suspiciously strong sense of loyalty to their newly minted friendships. Others have point-blank accused their villa mates of 'scamming,' prioritizing gameplay over romance, and not exploring enough connections. This hyper-awareness serves neither the islanders nor the viewers who would rather be a fly on the wall than a bug in the ear. But the tides could turn. Love Island host Ariana Madix previously confirmed that everyone—the main contestants and the Casa additions—will return to the original villa. This could force the islanders to make decisions even the most calculated mind wouldn't anticipate. In turn, that could bring out the type of chaos and palpable chemistry that's been missing thus far. Read ahead to learn more about the Casa contestants who could charge up this season. Arenales (pictured right), 28, is a financial accountant, real estate agent, and bartender. The Boston native and marathon runner often shares training and workout videos on his Instagram. In his Love Island intro, he exuded confidence, saying, 'Just know if you're with me, you're taken care of. I'm always smiling. I'm the fucking vibe wherever the fuck I go. And if you hate me, that's a you problem.' Bibas (pictured right), originally from Toronto, lives in Miami and works as a tech consultant. The 24-year-old bombshell also appears to be a health and wellness enthusiast, frequently posting fitness and motivational videos. 'I am one of those people that has a lot of hobbies,' he said on the show. 'I love to travel, I run ultramarathons, I like to meditate, and I'm looking for a life partner.' Blackmore, 25, models for an energy drink company. The self-proclaimed 'Southern Belle' competed for Miss Virginia USA last year and made it to the top five. 'I got a little bit of attitude,' she said in her intro, adding, 'I love to play Blackjack. I'm a card shark, so I'm always beating them out.' Blackmore later shared that she recently moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. Carraway, 24, hails from Charlotte, North Carolina. She introduced herself as a 'peer mentor' and experienced cheerleader. 'I'd rate myself a 'broke my scale' out of 10 for obvious reasons,' she said. 'As far as kissing goes, I haven't gotten complaints in that department.' Carraway added that she's interested in getting to know 'a few of the guys' and plans on getting what she wants, 'like I always do.' Dodard (pictured right) is a 23-year-old athlete from Puerto Rico. 'I got a little island spice,' he said on the show. Heading into the villa, he wasn't shy about his expectations: 'Ladies love me,' he said. 'My coaches always told me, 'Let the game come to you.' When the girls see me, they're instantly going to go for me. I'm a magnet. My presence is a present.' Duggar, 25, is a Seattle-based corporate investigator and a Swiftie, per her Instagram. According to her intro, Duggar wasted no time doing her research on her fellow islanders. 'I do have the boys in the villa already background checked,' she said. 'I'm excited to go in there knowing too much already.' Einerson is a social media and brand ambassador from Salt Lake City, Utah. Based on her Instagram, the 21-year-old digital creator also appears to be an avid golfer. When describing her type on the show, Einerson listed one major qualification: 'I honestly just love a guy that's freaking obsessed with me.' Seeley (pictured right), 27, is a professional basketball player who joined the Rajawali Medan, a team in the Indonesian league, earlier this year. The 6'8' athlete is from Los Angeles and has seven sisters. Seeley said he's still single 'because I'm picky,' and he hasn't found 'the right woman' yet. But he's hopeful that Love Island will help him meet his match. Srakaew (pictured right), 29, is a full-time international model. The tatted contestant is originally from Thailand but grew up in Manchester, England. He entered the villa with clear intentions: 'I'm here to try and find my potential wife,' he said. He added that people often assume he's a bad boy, but deep down, 'I'm a bit of a softie.' Watson is a 24-year-old makeup artist, hairstylist, and model from Los Angeles. She made a sultry entrance on the show, saying, 'I'm serving looks, I'm serving personality' before declaring, 'the baddie is here.' Woodworth (pictured right), 26, lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. He didn't disclose his profession, but he has a strong presence on Instagram and TikTok where he shares snapshots of his life and travels. 'When I'm in a relationship, I'm locked in,' Woodworth said on Love Island, adding that he wants to find someone to 'take over the world with.'
