‘Who is this?' Serena Williams just broke Instagram with this skinny selfie

Serena Williams can't win.
Scratch that. The tennis icon can win — on the court, snagging 23 Grand Slam titles throughout her incredible career.
But on the Internet? Forget about it.
Last week, Williams astonished her Instagram followers with a slimmed down appearance, posing in front of a mirror in a black slinky long skirt and crop top.
The 43-year-old mom of two has been documenting her weight loss journey a while, working on shedding the pounds.
Last summer, the Palm Beach Gardens resident hilariously launched a personal challenge to get back into a Valentino denim skirt she acquired in her pre-pregnancy days.
The champ reportedly went from 188 down to 154 pounds by the end of 2024 through a combination of diet (a nutritionist helped) and exercise (something Williams knows well). The California native also revealed she used Lingo, a continuous glucose monitor that tracks blood sugar levels in real time.
But in this latest post, it looks as if that cute designer skirt would fall right off of her.
Keyboard busybodies, naturally, expressed their unsolicited opinions in the comments section. Some fans were supportive and complimentary telling her she looked amazing. Yet others were concerned by the sudden, dramatic changeup and wondered if she was possibly ill.
'No joking. Is Serena OK? This has been a shocking weight loss. I certainly DON'T want anything to be wrong with her!!!'
Some social media users assumed the athlete was on a GLP-1 weight loss drug, like so many other (non-diabetic) Hollywood folks these days.
'Just when you thought the legend was the bad arse who embraced her strength and curves, we now get an Ozempic version of her. Now she looks like everyone else.'
A handful didn't even recognize the sports star; e.g., 'Who is this woman?'
Buried in the comments were at least a few who didn't attempt to play judge and jury:
'People been on Serena about her body her whole life. Let her live.'
But it seems that Williams is fine and focused on wellness so that she can be around to watch her daughters grow up.
'We're all thinking about longevity and everything that we can have at our fingertips, but longevity is something that we have to work at,' she told USA Today late last year. 'And so for me, I'm in that journey in my life where I want to work at that, and I want to create the best scenario I can for that.'

Britney Spears sparks concern in wild video from messy house: ‘Price of fame'

Fans are expressing concern for Britney Spears after the singer shared a video of herself singing 'off-key' in her messy home. Taking to Instagram on Monday, the pop star shared two videos of herself singing Rihanna's 2006 hit 'Unfaithful' and Prince's 'Kiss.' In the clips, Spears, 43, sang, danced and spoke in a British accent while wearing her 'PJs,' which consisted of a polka-dot crop top, low-rise shorts and black knee-high boots. A variety of items were noticeably all over the floor in the background. 'Messing around with lighting and cleaning my house like no tomorrow ,' she captioned one of the posts. Though the comments were disabled, fans took to X to share that they were worried for the 'Toxic' singer. 'God whats happened to poor Britney, is this the price of fame,' tweeted one user on X. 'She really isn't doing well!' added another. 'She needs intervention this is so sad to watch,' claimed a third person. 'Is she ok?' asked a fourth netizen. Other fans expressed concern for the livelihood of Spears' dogs. 'Someone should take her dogs,' wrote a concerned user, while another person said, 'Poor dogs! Someone please take them away from here (sic).' Page Six has reached out to Spears' rep for comment but did not immediately hear back. Earlier this month, the Grammy winner suffered a wardrobe malfunction while seductively dancing in a sparkly gold mini dress and high heels. While cutting a rug to Janet Jackson's 1993 hit 'Any Time, Any Place,' Spears accidentally exposed her breasts. However, the mom of two edited the video to cover them with yellow flower emojis. In November 2021, Spears famously broke free of her 13-year legal conservatorship. Since then, the hitmaker has posted frequently on social media, sharing videos of her dancing with knives and posing without any clothes on at the beach. Solve the daily Crossword

Michelle Williams opens up about baby No. 4, thanks her surrogate

Michelle Williams opened up this week about the arrival of her fourth child and gave a sweet shoutout to her surrogate. During an appearance on " Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Monday, the "Dawson's Creek" alum confirmed she and husband Thomas Kail recently welcomed their third baby together via surrogacy. In addition to her three children with Kail, Williams is also a mom to daughter Matilda, whom she shared with the late Heath Ledger. The topic of baby No. 4 came up after guest host Tiffany Haddish complimented Williams on her figure, saying she looked like she'd never had kids. "Then I've got to give a big shout out to Christine, because this last baby did not come through my body," Williams replied, appearing to reference her surrogate. "But the miracle of our little girl is thanks to Christine. Maybe you're watching out there --thank you, Christine." She added, "Thanks to Christine, I have three under 5 at home." Williams went on to reflect on motherhood with humor and honesty. "Everything's good and under control. I'm the adult," she said. "It's good, it's just really busy. I'm trying to figure out the sort of life-work balance." Williams admitted that while everyone talks about self-care, it's easier said than done. "I already have the guilt, and I don't want to take more time away from them, but I understand, like, I need to fill up the tank," she said. As for how she recharges, Williams joked that she's found peace in an unlikely place: the Social Security office. "They will let you wait in complete silence for at least one hour," she said. "I have it all figured out." In an interview with " Good Morning America" that aired this week, Williams credited her family as the support system that grounds her.

Buffalo Wild Wings' Bottomless Apps deal is ending. Here's when.

The time to devour infinite onion rings and chips and salsa with your hot wings is now. Buffalo Wild Wings' Bottomless Appetizers deal, which granted parties of four or less endless rounds of two appetizers at a time for $9.99, is expected to exit menus nationwide soon. The national wing chain confirmed to USA TODAY that Tuesday, Aug. 19 will be its final day. The chain's appetizers include onion rings, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, Hatch queso and chips and salsa. The limited-time offer is available all day for dine-in customers at participating locations, though the company warned prices may be higher in five states, including California, New York, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and Alaska. Parties of five or more will have an additional upcharge. When did Buffalo Wild Wings start all-you-can-eat appetizers? The $9.99 endless appetizer deal, which started in June, comes after the chain brought back its beloved and limited-time all-you-can-eat deals on wings and fries in April. Dine-in customers nationwide had the option to enjoy endless boneless wings and fries for $19.99, and the deal allowed use of brand's 26 sauces and dry rubs. The chain also offers a $24.99 option for customers ordering traditional or mix and match wings. Contributing: Gabe Hauari, USA TODAY
