Cameron Young wins first PGA Tour title by demolishing field at Wyndham Championship
He became the 1,000th player to win a recognized PGA Tour event, dating to Willie Park in the 1860 British Open. It must have felt like it took Young 165 years to win as many chances as he has had since his rookie season in 2022.

Shedeur Sanders unlikely to receive first-team reps for Eagles practices after stellar Browns debut against Panthers
Shedeur Sanders unlikely to receive first-team reps for Eagles practices after stellar Browns debut against Panthers originally appeared on The Sporting News Shedeur Sanders looked the part as the Cleveland Browns' starting quarterback against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Friday night. Cleveland won the preseason opener 30-10 after Sanders completed 14/23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns. That won't propel him past Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel overnight, though. As Mary Kay Cabot, Dan Labbe, Scott Patsko, and Ashley Bastock noted, Sanders likely won't be getting first-team reps during the Browns' joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles next week ahead of the team's second preseason matchup. 'The upcoming joint practices with the Philadelphia Eagles could prove pivotal for Sanders' trajectory. While it's unlikely he'll receive significant first-team reps against the defending Super Bowl champions, continued strong performances could accelerate his timeline,' the Orange and Brown Talk podcast crew wrote. 'For now, Sanders has done exactly what a developmental quarterback should: he's taken advantage of every opportunity given to him. The question is no longer if he'll move up the depth chart, but when.' Kevin Stefanski now has the rest of training camp and two more preseason games to assess if Sanders is a serious candidate to start at quarterback. We know Joe Flacco won't see any preseason reps, but the team will have problems answering to upset Shedeur fans when Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel touch the ball. Pickett is no shoo-in to remain with the team, with talks of trading him if he plays well dominating the training camp chatter. Meanwhile, Gabriel hasn't looked ready at all despite getting opportunities that Sanders has been denied. Stefanski will have trouble focusing on what he has with those two after Sanders showed he's worthy of more consideration under center.

Rich Eisen doesn't like the Broncos' non-throwback uniforms
Well, you can't please everyone! Prior to the 2024 season, the Denver Broncos debuted an entirely new uniform collection the franchise nicknamed the "Mile High Collection." The new orange (Sunset Orange), blue (Midnight Navy) and white (Summit White) jerseys drew mixed reviews when they were first unveiled, but there were some good-looking games throughout the season. However, there are some lingering critics. "Here's my one piece of advice, and a step back," said Rich Eisen in a segment discussing the aftermath of the Broncos' 31-7 playoff loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. "The uniforms," questioned a cohost. "Yes," said Eisen. "Oh my goodness, I hated those," chimed another cohost. "They clinch in their throwbacks, and then they show up in Buffalo like that," asked Eisen. "What the hell was that?" In the playoff matchup, the Broncos wore their new matte navy helmet, Summit White jersey top, Sunset Orange pants and socks. Throughout the season, the players picked the pants and socks they would wear each week. There is some good news, however! This year, Denver will have the option to wear their alternate jerseys (Midnight Navy and the team's incredible throwbacks) up to four times a year. What games do you think we'll see the throwbacks come out for the Broncos? Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X! Did you know: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans. Dallas Wings drop 4th game in a row after 88-77 loss to New York Liberty
The home skid continues for the Dallas Wings after Friday night's 88-77 loss to the New York Liberty. Dallas was without rookie Paige Bueckers due to a back injury that required treatment when the teams met Tuesday in New York. Breanna Stewart, Kennedy Burke and Nyara Sabally did not play for the Liberty. Dallas veteran guard Arike Ogunbowale led the charge, scoring 17 points, and Maddy Siegrist added 15 off the bench for the Wings. Myisha Hines-Allen had 12 points and seven rebounds. But none of it was enough to stop the hot shooting and all-around effort by New York on Friday. The Liberty made 51.5% of their shots, including 5 of 12 from 3-point range, and 11 of 11 free throws in the first half. The Wings were held to 33.3% shooting with nine turnovers. The Wings narrowed a 19-point deficit down to three late in the third, but New York began the fourth quarter on a 13-1 run, capped by a 3-pointer by Leonie Fiebich, to take control with a 77-58 lead. The Wings didn't make their first field goal of the fourth until the 5:50 mark. In the game, New York's Sabrina Ionescu scored 16 points, Emma Meesseman had 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Fiebich and Jonquel Jones also scored 14 points apiece for New York (20-10). Natasha Cloud and Marine Johannes each added 10. The Wings have now dropped four straight games, with three of those losses coming on their home court. "We're in every game," Hines-Allen said during the post-game press conference about the team's ability to keep the scores close against their opponents. "We just got to figure out a way to get over the hump... There's definitely room for improvement on how to finish and close out games." Dallas aims to halt the home slide when they host the Washington Mystics on Sunday, Aug. 10, at College Park Center in Arlington. Tip-off is scheduled at 3 p.m. CT. The meeting will be the third of the season between the two teams. Dallas is 5-11 at home, and Washington is 4-11 on the road.
