A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said the service is appealing for witnesses following the alleged assault at an Aldi on King Street in Leigh on August 6.
Cops have launched a manhunt after a person was seen "attacking children in an Aldi store."

Police in Manchester have put out a public appeal regarding the incident that reportedly took place at an Aldi on King Street in Leigh, Wigan, earlier this month.

The service said in a statement this afternoon that during the incident on August 6, the man was alleged to have "assaulted two children". Neither of the two were injured, reports the Mirror.

A spokesperson for GMP said they it was seeking two people to whom they would like to talk who were captured on CCTV, and that it is believed "they could help with their enquiries".
The force said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses following a reported incident at Aldi on King Street, Leigh.
"At 12.50pm on Wednesday 6 August, an incident appears to have occurred whereby a male is alleged to been aggressive and assaulted two children.
"While the children did not received injuries, the police would like to talk to the two people pictured, as it is believed that they could help with their enquiries. If you were in the store and witnessed the incident then please do come forward."

The regiment said news of the death of 25-year-old Stephen Hughes had been met with the "deepest sorrow". Cpl Hughes had been reported missing from Bethel in Gwynedd at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, August 12. His body was tragically discovered in the Menai Strait shortly after 11.30pm that night. In a short statement issued on Thursday, the Royal Welsh said: "It is with the deepest sorrow that 1st Bn The Royal Welsh must confirm the tragic loss of Cpl Stephen Hughes, 25. "He was a much loved member of Mortar Platoon and his loss has been deeply felt within the Battalion and wider Regimental family." Police said no suspicious circumstances are thought to be linked to his death. Chief Insp Jon Aspinall said: 'My thoughts are with Stephen's family, who are being supported by officers.
