Punkvism, OSCOM Sign MOU to Launch ‘PunkPay'
Through this partnership, Punkvism plans to enable the use of PunkPay as a payment method on OSCOM's electronic payment terminals, which are partnered with over 7,000 stores equipped with POS terminals in South Korea. This move is expected to significantly expand the real-world utility of PunkPay in everyday life.
OSCOM is a leading provider of integrated electronic payment terminal solutions in South Korea, supplying payment infrastructure to a wide range of retail stores. PunkPay aims to leverage these existing terminals to enable blockchain-based token payments, drawing attention as a service that brings blockchain into the real economy.
Looking ahead, Punkvism also plans to implement a token-burning model in which a certain percentage of PVT (Punkvism Token) is automatically burned with every PunkPay transaction.
Jaemin Kim, Director of Punkvism, stated, 'Just as Paycoin, a blockchain-based digital payment solution, proved its usability by expanding across various online and offline payment platforms, PunkPay will also serve as an effective bridge between the real economy and the blockchain ecosystem.'
