Falcons held virtual meeting with Arkansas wide receiver at Pro Day Arkansas WR Andrew Armstrong met with Falcons virtually at Pro Day
The Atlanta Falcons have just five selections in this year's draft, and only two within the first 100 picks. Without much draft capital in the early rounds, the team must find some talent on Day 3. Thus far, the Falcons appear to be doing their due diligence.
The team has met with several mid-to-late-round prospects, including one highly productive wide receiver. According to Justin Melo of the Draft Network, the Falcons held a virtual meeting with Arkansas' Andrew Armstrong during the school's pro day.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound wideout ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine. Armstrong can play inside and outside and his size makes him a tough matchup for defensive backs. The Arkansas standout led the SEC with 78 receptions for 1,140 receiving yards. He could be a potential sleeper in this year's draft.
NFL.com's Lance Zierlein likes Armstrong's size but questions his ability to separate at the pro level.
"Long-limbed, tight-hipped wideout with average feet and a lack of separation talent," Zierlein wrote in his 2025 scouting report. "Armstrong put together solid catch production during his two seasons at Arkansas but will need to prove it is translatable in the pros. He doesn't get in and out of breaks quickly enough to separate and lacks the pure gas to be a field-stretching option, but he has good size and ball skills."
The Falcons don't have a huge need at wide receiver but they also don't have a ton of depth behind Drake London, Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud. The team re-signed KhaDarel Hodge in free agency, but Rondale Moore signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
