It's always refreshing when celebrities are open and honest about the plastic surgery that they have had done (although they're definitely not obligated to) and the iconic Tisha Campbell recently spilled all the tea about her refreshments while on the red carpet for the 25th annual BET Awards.
Speaking exclusively with Entertainment Tonight , Campbell volunteered the information that she recently had a mommy makeover, and that she is thrilled with the results.
'For those who don't know I recently got plastic surgery,' Campbell began. 'You know it was a mommy makeover. I had extra skin from the baby and a little bit of droppage here and a little bit of droppage there, and they tightened me together.'
Campbell felt so good about her results that she convinced SWV members Taj and Lelee to also go to the same surgeon. The three are currently working on BET's The Ms. Pat Show .
'We got a chance to talk and I convinced them to call the doctors. They wanted mommy makeovers too, and I just feel like we should be feeling good about ourselves,' she said.
While noting that she is single, the legendary actress noted that she didn't do the mommy makeover for love, instead, she did it just for herself. 'I just wanted to feel good for me and that's what this was allowing me to have, you know just to feel good about me.' Source: Kayla Oaddams / Getty
Campbell explained her decision to share her surgery publicly, given that many in the industry do not. 'I just wanted to be honest about it. I think it's more important to be honest.'
'It's nice to be a little bit more snatched around that area, for me. It's not for everybody, but it was for me,' she said.
Campbell will next be seen in the ALLBLK film Operation: Aunties , directed by Wendy Raquel Robinson and co-starring Melissa De Sousa, which will be available to stream on the platform on July 11.

Unbothered Unc Denzel Washington ‘Doesn't Care' About Being Canceled, The Oscars, Or What Anyone Thinks Of Him

Source: Gilbert Flores / Getty Denzel Washington has been firmly in his unc era for some years, and on his latest press run for Spike Lee's Highest 2 Lowest remake, he continues to prove why he's one of the funniest interview subjects around. When discussing his performance, which has already started bringing in rave reviews, and what it could mean for awards season, the two-time Academy Award winner said he couldn't be bothered to care about accolades at this point in his life. 'I don't do it for Oscars. I don't care about that kind of stuff,' Washington said to Complex . 'I've been at this a long time, and there's time when I won and shouldn't have won and then didn't win and should've won. Man gives the award. God gives the reward. I'm not that interested in Oscars. People ask me, 'Where do I keep it?' Well, next to the other one. I'm not bragging! Just telling you how I feel about it. On my last day, [Oscars] aren't going to do me a bit of good.' Washington also made it clear that he doesn't give a hootennay about being canceled, nor will he be playing the social media game at his age. In an interview with Complex , he let it be known that he never signed up for all the fanfare. 'What made public support so important to begin with?' he said. 'I don't care who's following who. You can't lead and follow at the same time, and you can't follow and lead at the same time. I don't follow anybody. I follow the heavenly spirit. I follow God, I don't follow man. I have faith in God. I have hope in man, but look around, it ain't working out so well.' He continued, 'You can't be canceled if you haven't signed up. Don't sign up. Don't get me started. You know, chest is getting tight talking about it.' Washington has become a viral meme waiting to happen during every press run these days as he also delivered some much remembered one-liners during his media tour for Gladiator II , including when he dropped the news that he'd be appearing in Black Panther 3. The 'Malcolm X' actor and his director bestie, Lee, have been going unc for unc while promoting their latest collaboration, and they've also brought Rihanna's baby daddy A$AP Rocky along for the ride. As BOSSIP previously reported, the Harlem rapper absolutely loved his time working with both of the legends and was shocked to find that Washington knew more about current rap artists than he originally thought. 'Yo, Denzel plays more Memphis rap than anybody I know. He's just like, 'Alright, so what you f*** with, kid?' [I'm like,] 'Pardon me?' I tried to sound all old school and s*** like, 'I like Slick Rick…' and he's like, 'Oh, I f*** with Rick, of course. Rick the Ruler.' Then, he started saying Nas lyrics out of nowhere,' he said. 'Then Pac, then DMX, and then he starts talking about the young cats — Moneybagg Yo, NLE Choppa, NBA YoungBoy and these guys. I'm like, 'What is this man doing?!' But I'm here for it, like I f*** with it. I was shocked. He's an OG. You would expect him to listen to Miles Davis all day. Nah, he said, 'Throw on NLE Choppa,' [then Washington rapped] 'I don't do drive-bys no more, I walk 'em down.' That's verbatim.' This trio seems like a good time! Why Chubby Checker is Skipping His Own Rock Hall Induction Ceremony

Source: Bill McCay / Getty Chubby Checker, the legendary musician behind the iconic hit 'The Twist,' has made headlines for his decision to skip his long-awaited induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. After nearly 40 years of eligibility, the 83-year-old artist is finally being honored, but he has chosen to prioritize his fans and his passion for live performances over attending the ceremony. At a recent concert, Checker revealed his reasoning, stating that he would rather perform for a live audience than appear on television for the induction. 'I told my manager, 'Make sure when we go to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the induction, that I'm doing what I love doing the most: Being in front of an audience. A live audience, not a television audience,'' he explained, according to PEOPLE. True to his word, Checker scheduled a show on the same day as the ceremony, emphasizing his commitment to his fans and his craft. Checker also expressed a desire to challenge perceptions about his career and vitality. He noted that some might view his induction as a sign of retirement or decline, but he wanted to prove otherwise. 'Let's be doing a show like I'm doing today to show I'm alive and well, and the audience is wonderful,' he said. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. Although he won't attend the official event in Los Angeles on November 8, Checker staged his own Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebration during a concert in Des Plaines, Illinois. In a heartfelt moment captured on video, he accepted an award and delivered a speech, thanking his fans and peers for their support. 'The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I thank you for making me a member of the family,' he said, adding that the honor has illuminated his life. Chubby Checker's decision to skip the ceremony underscores his unwavering dedication to his fans and his love for live music. Known for hits like 'The Twist,' 'The Fly,' and 'The Hucklebuck,' Checker has been a trailblazer in the music industry, and his influence is undeniable. His induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a testament to his enduring impact, even if he won't be there in person to accept the honor. Checker joins a list of notable artists who have opted out of attending their inductions, including Paul McCartney and Axl Rose. His choice reflects his unique perspective on what truly matters in his career: connecting with his audience and continuing to do what he loves most—performing. Gladys Knight, 81, Speaks Out After Son Accuses Her Younger Husband Of Elder Abuse

Gladys Knight has assured fans her mental health is just fine after some concerns sparked by her son. Source: Maury Phillips/BET / Getty The soul music legend is speaking out after her eldest son, Shanga Hankerson, claimed his mother was facing elder abuse from her much-younger husband, William McDowell. According to Knight, those claims couldn't be further from the truth. 'I'm sorry that my health and performances have been misrepresented,' she said in a statement, per The Post . 'I want my fans and those concerned to rest assured I am doing very well for someone who has been on stage for three quarters of a century, hard to believe, right?' The songstress continued, 'I'm healthy and happy and visiting friends and family these last few months. I'm excited to get back on the road with my sisters and on stage with The Queens Tour. See you soon.' In addition to Knight's statement, her publicist, Laura Herlovich, also debunked the rumors, telling the outlet that the legendary singer and her team are 'greatly saddened by Shanga's unfounded allegations, especially as he has had no substantial contact with her.' She added, 'At this time our lawyers have no choice but to explore any and all legal remedies due to Shanga's defamatory comments.' Knight's rebuttal came after Hankerson, 49, claimed that his mother was being subjected to elder abuse at the hands of McDowell. He made such claims during an interview with The Shade Room , alleging McDowell was forcing Knight to tour despite her declining health. 'I did my best to give [McDowell] the space to play the role of husband and do what was in my mom's best interest, and he has not done that,' he alleged at the time. 'Why is she working? Why is she in this situation where she's being made to believe that she has to work like this? That's really my issue with it.' Hankerson went on to recall a time when the 'Every Beat of My Heart' singer allegedly 'zoned out' while performing with her band. 'The band played about two or three extra bars. And she zoned out. The background singer started singing … and that brought her back,' Hankerson explained. 'They're having to rewind the teleprompters because my mom is forgetting to even look at them.' Knight and McDowell, who is reportedly 33 years younger than the soul singer, got married in 2001. In addition to Shanga, who she shares with music executive Barry Hankerson, the seven-time Grammy winner also has daughter Kenya Newman, 62, and late son James Newman III with her first ex-husband, James Newman. Knight was also married to Shanga's father, Barry, from 1974 to 1979; and former Ohio representative Les Brown, from 1995 to 1997.
