Hodeida governor Abdullah Atifi has conducted an inspection tour of various development and service projects in al-Sukhnah district aimed at promoting local development and improving citizen services.
The inspection covered the Dairy Collection and Production Center, serving al-Sukhnah and al-Mansuriyah districts, the planned site of the Agricultural Products Collection Center, and the construction of diversion barriers for agricultural land. Governor Atifi also visited archaeological sites, including al-Sukhnah Palace and natural baths.
A meeting with local council leaders, executive office directors, and community figures followed, attended by deputy governors and officials. Governor Atifi stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance basic services, highlighting the governorate's commitment to addressing citizen needs within available resources.
Al-Sukhnah District Director Mohammed Aqari presented a report on the district's needs in water, health, education, sanitation, and roads, and discussed strengthening community initiatives for development projects.
Governor Atifi emphasized the role of agricultural cooperatives and community initiatives in local development and the importance of social cohesion.
District Director Aqari expressed appreciation for the governorate leadership's visit and commitment to improving services and development.

Hodeida - Saba: Al-Hodeida Governor Abdullah Atifi and First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri inaugurated the Eid Clothing Exhibition for needy children in Al-Mina directorate in the city square as part of humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of poor families. The exhibition targets 2,000 boys and girls from poor and needy families, funded by the General Authority for Zakat and Philanthropists, and implemented by the Ithar Al-Khair Social Development Foundation. For his part, Al-Bishri considered Eid clothing project a model of humanitarian work. He praised the efforts of all parties involved in organizing and supporting the exhibition. Mohammed Halisi, Undersecretary for Services Affairs, explained that this exhibition promotes solidarity among the members of the community. He called for redoubling efforts to ensure that the largest number of needy families benefit. For his part, Undersecretary of the City Square, Ali Kabari, praised the role of the Zakat Commission, the Zakat Office and the Ithar Foundation in implementing humanitarian projects.
