
Emirates Group Renews Rolls-Royce Leadership Programme to Empower UAE Nationals
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Adel Al Redha, Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer of Emirates Airline, and Ewen McDonald, Chief Customer Officer of Rolls-Royce, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations.
The extended agreement will introduce five additional cohorts to the bespoke leadership training module, providing enhanced resources and opportunities for career progression. Since its inception, the programme has successfully trained 175 graduates across 11 cohorts, many of whom now hold senior leadership positions within the Emirates Group.
As the flagship leadership initiative of Emirates Group, the Rolls-Royce Leadership Programme is tailored to equip UAE Nationals with essential skills for driving business success. The renewed curriculum includes modules on Financial Management, Commercial Acumen, Sustainability, Emerging Technologies, The Future of Work, Strategy, Personal Impact, and Innovation, ensuring participants are well-prepared for evolving industry challenges.
This strategic renewal reinforces Emirates Group's commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering future business leaders in the UAE.

Other prominent UAE-based leaders in the ranking include Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of Tourism at DCT – Abu Dhabi, Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group; Mohamed Abdallah Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral; Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports; Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, Secretary-General Elect of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Antonoaldo Neves, Group Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Aviation Group, Elena Sorlini, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, and Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of UAE's dominance was followed by Saudi Arabia with 24 leaders on the list, Egypt with seven, Oman with five, and Jordan and Morocco with four each. The park will be the seventh Disney resort worldwide. This year's ranking reflects the powerful momentum building across the sector, driven by bold vision, government strategy, and record-breaking investments. To curate the list, Forbes Middle East evaluated leaders across the public and private sectors based on the scale of their organizations—measured by revenues, asset values, hotel keys, and number of passengers—as well as their experience, achievements, and overall impact on the tourism landscape. All ranked individuals are based in the MENA region. H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, tops the 2025 list for the fourth consecutive year. In the 2024/25 financial year, the group recorded $39.6 billion in revenues—a 6% increase compared to the previous year and holds $49.7 billion in assets. He is followed by Fahd Hamidaddin, CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, and Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Group CEO of Qatar Airways Group, who round off the top three. Executives on this year's list represent 10 countries across the region. The U.A.E. is home to 49 leaders, followed by 24 in Saudi Arabia, seven in Egypt, and five in Oman.
