Just 3 Kin At Influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi's Cremation: ‘Can't Allow UP, Bihar Migrants...'
Last Updated:
Even those who watched and appreciated her non-traditional posts during her lifetime, have now criticised her for posing as a 'Kaur' instead of her original name — Kanchan Kumari.
Social media influencer Kanchan Kumari, aka Kamal Kaur, known for her viral and often controversial Instagram posts, was found dead inside a car in Bathinda. With initial suspicion of a murder, the police have now arrested two accused in the case, identifying them as Jaspreet Singh and Nimratjit Singh. A third accused, Amritpal Singh Mehron, is said to be absconding. Amid the ongoing investigations, Kamal Kaur has been cremated by her family but with only three members in attendance.
Despite having a strong social media presence, with over 4,00,000 followers on Instagram, Kaur's funeral failed to draw the attention of mourners. As per The Tribune, not many were present at the funeral except her family members and a few government personnel, and activists of Sahara Jan Sewa. Kamal Kaur's last rites were performed at Lachhman Colony in Ludhiana, Punjab.
On the other hand, her social media posts, which saw major traction from her followers over the past few days, have invited the ire of activists of radical Sikh organisations, including Nihangs—an order of Sikh warriors who are characterised by blue robes, armed with swords and spears, and decorated turbans. Even those of her followers who so far appreciated her non-traditional posts and videos have started criticising Kaur for not using her original name, i.e., Kanchan Kumari.
A number of the late influencer's posts were inundated with comments in support of her murder and the need for moral policing. Meanwhile, Amritpal Singh Mehron, the key conspirator in the murder case, has taken responsibility for the act. In a now-viral video, Mehron alleged that Kaur had defamed the Sikh tradition and used her name to create obscene content. Issuing a warning to other online creators, he added, 'Our Gurus have given us the surnames of 'Singh' and 'Kaur' and we cannot allow women migrating from UP and Bihar to suffix the title of Kaur. Khalsa never attacks women, but when a woman targets our Takhts and mocks Sikh values, she cannot be spared."
After the killing of Kanchan Kumari (aka Kamal), Amritpal Singh Mehron posted a video explaining the reason behind the act. He showed her obscene videos as evidence and warned other Instagram users posting such content saying they'll face the same fate if they don't stop. With two accused now in police custody, their possible links with Mehron are being investigated. The arrested men have admitted to killing Kaur for uploading 'immoral and vulgar content that hurt the community's sentiments." The 30-year-old influencer runs her Instagram handle under the name Kamal Kaur Bhabhi.

OnlyFans creator Gabriella Zuniga sparks controversy by selling s*x tape amid ongoing $50M lawsuit against Shannon Sharpe
Gabriella Zuniga is now offering a s*x tape to subscribers, intensifying the legal battle with Shannon Sharpe (Images via Instagram and Getty Images) The legal battle between former NFL star Shannon Sharpe and OnlyFans creator Gabriella Zuniga has taken an even more sensational turn. Zuniga, also known online as "Karli," is now offering a s*x tape to subscribers who tip over $2,000—despite being in the midst of a $50 million lawsuit against Sharpe, which includes serious allegations of sexual assault, emotional abuse, and coercion. Gabriella Zuniga's explicit content offer raises public and legal questions At just 21 years old, Gabriella Zuniga's decision to promote adult content while pursuing a high-profile legal case has ignited a firestorm of debate online. Critics argue her move could damage her credibility and shift public perception of the lawsuit. Supporters counter that she's continuing her career as an adult content creator, independent of the case at hand. Notably, Zuniga has not confirmed whether the tape involves Sharpe, a point that adds ambiguity and intrigue to an already explosive case. Given the legal implications, it seems unlikely she would directly tie the content to the former athlete, though the timing of her announcement has undeniably complicated the narrative. Legal teams release conflicting evidence in heated court battle Represented by high-profile attorney Tony Buzbee—known for taking on Deshaun Watson and Sean 'Diddy' Combs—Zuniga alleges a disturbing pattern of manipulation by Sharpe. This includes claims of non-consensual recordings and threats of violence. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Buzbee released audio recordings in which Sharpe allegedly states he would "choke" her, painting a picture of abuse behind the scenes. Sharpe, 56, has firmly denied all allegations through his lawyer, Lanny Davis, calling the lawsuit 'an extortion attempt.' In response, Davis released explicit messages that appear to show a consensual relationship between the two. One message reportedly even features Zuniga expressing a desire to have Sharpe's child. According to court documents, the two met at a Los Angeles gym in 2023, when Zuniga was just 19. She claims their relationship evolved from flirtation to deep emotional and psychological distress. Career fallout and postponed projects for Shannon Sharpe The scandal has already had serious career repercussions for Sharpe. Once on the brink of signing a $100 million media deal, the NFL Hall of Famer has since stepped away from First Take and postponed his Nightcap podcast tour with co-host Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson. 'We've decided to postpone the Nightcap tour,' Sharpe stated. 'We look forward to seeing you guys in the summer of 2026. It's going to be even bigger, even better.' Case against 4 betting sites as student loses 50L, pal ends life
Hyderabad: Cyberabad police have registered a case against four online betting portals and six other individuals accused of defrauding a 27-year-old student of 50 lakh and allegedly driving another man to suicide. On Friday night, a student from Miyapur filed a complaint detailing how Instagram reels led him to a Telegram channel in December 2023, while he was pursuing a management degree in Italy. The channel, operated by a fraudster claiming to be from Jagtial, promised 'guaranteed toss-fix' predictions for cricket matches and displayed fabricated screenshots of significant winnings. After receiving two initially correct tips, the complainant and his friend, a native of Bhopal, began wagering substantial sums through various betting websites promoted by the fraudsters in 2024. "He promised fixed match outcomes, showed fake screenshots of winnings, and encouraged us to place bets through offshore betting websites. Initially, he gave two correct predictions, likely staged to gain our trust. Encouraged by this and reassured by his repeated promises, we began placing bets via money transfers. All subsequent predictions turned out to be false. I personally lost around 50 lakh, while my friend from Bhopal, who placed even larger bets on credit, lost about 60 lakh," the complainant alleged. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! IC Markets Start Now Undo According to police, the fraudsters operated multiple invitation-only Telegram groups to conceal their identities and promote illegal betting, posing a threat to public order by staying ahead of enforcement measures. "Tragically, due to the psychological pressure caused by the fraudsters' repeated false assurances, my friend ended his life on December 6, 2024. The network is a serious threat to public order, promoting illicit betting sites and using mule accounts to launder money," said the complainant, who is now back in Hyderabad. Following the complaint, Cyberabad cyber crime police registered a case under Sections 316(5) (criminal breach of trust by a public servant, banker, merchant or agent), 318(4) (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Section 3(1)(i) of the Telangana Gaming Act, and Section 66-D of the IT Act against four betting websites and six fraudsters promoting them through social media groups. Police are currently analysing evidence provided by the complainant, including chat logs and transaction records, to zero in on the offenders. When the staff refused, she allegedly hurled abuses at the general manager, flung a brownie plate, and live-streamed the confrontation. The incident reportedly occurred after she was handed a bill of Rs 2,200. In connection with that incident, Kalpika was charged under Sections 351, 352, and 324 of the BNS for criminal intimidation, intentional insult, and mischief.
