Chynna Phillips goes on tirade against husband Billy Baldwin... as she slams 'power and control' in marriage

Daily Mail2 days ago

Chynna Phillips has gone on a brutal tirade against husband Billy Baldwin - brazenly confessing that she was 'turned off' during their first kiss, accusing him of using 'power and control' during the first years of their relationship, and claiming he's now jealous of her love of Jesus.
The former musician, 57, who converted to Christianity in 2022, opened up about her 'complicated' marriage in an unflinchingly honest video shared to her faith-based YouTube channel California Preachin' on Monday.
She laid bare a series of devastating problems that have plagued her and Billy's relationship over the years in a shocking, 16-minute-long rant, detailing how her newfound love of religion had driven a wedge between them.
She said Billy has 'struggled' with her 'Jesus journey' and theorized that he feels 'upstaged by the big man,' before she begged Jesus to help 'heal and restore and refurbish' their marriage.
'Billy struggles with the whole Jesus journey that I'm on and I think sometimes he feels like he's being upstaged by the big man,' she said.
'But what can I do about that? He's like, "Doesn't that get exhausting to talk about Jesus all day? Doesn't it get exhausting to be on this one-way flight with Jesus all the time?"
'And I'm like, "Dude this is where it's all happening, this is the most exciting, most exhilarating, most fulfilling place that I could be walking."
'I think he's just missing the mark a little bit and that's where there's a little bit of separation [between us].
'I don't judge Billy, I never force him to read the Bible I don't ask him to go to church but the thing is this is my life, this is my life's journey, my passion - what I plan on doing for the rest of my days is loving and following Jesus.'
Chynna went on to admit that she had 'fallen into a destructive pattern with her husband' and that she hasn't been 'forgiving' enough in recent months.
'I haven't been kind and I haven't been forgiving and I haven't been patient and I haven't been giving of myself in an emotional way,' she continued.
'I feel like I have shut down in many ways. I feel like it's been unfair to Billy, the way that I have treated him. I feel like I really dropped the ball.'
But according to Chynna, their struggles didn't just start recently, as she also spoke about the 'heartbreaking' early years of their romance.
She explained that they met when they were both on the same plane back in 1991 and he approached her and introduced himself.
At the time, she joked that she was 'white as a ghost' because she had just watched his film Backdraft a few days earlier and 'thought that he was like the most gorgeous specimen that she had ever laid eyes on.'
They ended up exchanging numbers at baggage claim and started dating soon after, but she also confessed that their first kiss left her 'a little turned off.'
She said Billy has 'struggled' with her 'Jesus journey' and theorized that he feels 'upstaged by the big man,' before she begged Jesus to help 'heal and restore and refurbish' their marriage
She recalled how he made the move outside of a bathroom in a nightclub.
'He just grabs me and he goes, "Can I borrow some lipstick?" And he comes in for the kiss,' she explained.
'I was so upset because I'd been waiting for this first kiss and this is how he approaches me? This is how he goes in for the first kiss?
'"Can I borrow some lipstick?" I was like, "No ew no why did he just do that?" I was a little turned off.'
Even so, Chynna said she continued to fall head over heals for Billy - but she claimed that when he took a long time to propose to her she started to feel extremely discouraged.
She remembered one time that she decided to take matters into her own hand and got down on one knee and asked Billy to marry her with a tinfoil ring.
But the actor said no, and it left her 'heartbroken, livid, and disgusted.'
'After about a year of dating Billy I was so in love and I was so certain that this was my husband,' she said.

'I went into the kitchen and I grabbed a piece of aluminum foil and I wrapped it up and made it into a ring and got down on one knee in front of him.
'I literally proposed to Billy and he said no. And I was heartbroken and livid and disgusted all in one ball of emotion. I felt very dejected and rejected... I was mortified.'
She said for nearly three years after that there were 'issues' between them stemming from him not wanting to tie the knot.
She shared, 'Basically what ensued after that was just [years] of power and control issues between me and Billy because I truly believe that he sort of dangled marriage over my head for years before he finally proposed.'
The two ultimately married in September 1995, four years after they first met, and they went on to welcome three kids together.
In the end, Chynna said she hoped Jesus would help them get through their problems.
'We have been through major, major, major, major trials and I'm proud of us. We've been able to persevere, we've been able to come out the other end of it,' she concluded.
'Love's not supposed to hurt but sometimes it does, it's not comfortable, sometimes it's painful.'
'Do I need to look at my side of the street and do I need to clean up some stuff? Absolutely, 100 percent, no doubt about it.
'I plan on trying to make those little changes in my marriage with the help of Jesus because I can't do it alone.
'Listen, nobody's marriage is perfect and I feel like my husband and I have something really, really, really special, all you got to do is continue turning it over to Jesus and trusting that he's going to heal and restore and refurbish my marriage.'

Barron Trump's best friend claims he got ICE to detain world's biggest TikTok star Khaby Lame

One of Barron Trump's supposed best friends has claimed he's responsible for getting the world's biggest TikTok star deported out of the United States. Bo Loudon, a Gen Z MAGA influencer who's previously been pictured with Barron and Donald Trump, said he reported Khaby Lame to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Loudon's first post on X came June 6 when he wrote that Lame is an 'illegal alien ' in all caps before proclaiming that he has 'been working with the patriots at President Trump's DHS' to deport the Senegal-born influencer. ICE already confirmed Lame was detained at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on June 6, the same day Loudon made his supposed involvement public. Lame, who has over 162 million TikTok followers, overstayed his visa after entering the country on April 30, according to an ICE spokesperson. He was granted 'voluntary departure', a bureaucratic euphemism for being kicked out. 'Serigne Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, was detained… for immigration violations,' the spokesperson confirmed in a statement. 'Lame was granted voluntary departure… and has since departed the US.' Loudon, 18, claimed that Lame was detained at Henderson Detention Center, southeast of Las Vegas proper, though its unclear how long he may have been in custody before leaving. ICE has not confirmed whether Loudon was involved in reporting Lame to authorities. has approached immigration officials for comment but did not immediately respond. Loudon has continued to celebrate his alleged role in the TikToker's removal. He made a post Wednesday afternoon denouncing various media outlets' coverage of this incident, who reportedly called him a 'rat' and a 'rat extraordinaire'. 'Why? Because I helped President Trump's DHS deport TikTok's biggest star, Khaby Lame, for being in the U.S. illegally,' he added. 'I wish Khaby well and hope he returns as a LAW-ABIDING citizen.' Loudon also did an interview with Dylan Page, another popular TikToker who has been the 'News Daddy.' In that sit-down, Loudon said he became aware of Lame's immigration status because 'he had worked with a few of my friends and business partners' who said his visa expired years ago. 'I called some people in the administration and they said "we're gonna get on this right quick,"' Loudon said. Lame is best known known for his dead-pan skits reacting to other content on the social media site. Loudon admitted that he doesn't watch much of Lame's content but said Lame has posted videos expressing a 'hatred' for Trump. 'I'm sure he hates him much more now, which is why I posted "far-left" TikToker,' he said. Lame has not commented on his detainment or his removal from the US and has continued to post videos as if nothing happened. As recently as May 5, Lame attended the Met Gala in New York City, where he wore a three piece suit with well over a dozen timepieces attached to his vest. Loudon, from Palm Beach, Florida, is the son of Dr. Gina Loudon, a conservative pundit and former co-chair of Women for Trump in 2020. His father, John Loudon, was a Republican Missouri state senator until 2008. Loudon and Barron Trump were instrumental convincing Donald Trump that it was a strategic advantage to appear on various podcasts popular with young me, including Adin Ross' show.

Reese Witherspoon's nepo baby Ava mortified after fans point out awkward detail about her boyfriend

Reese Witherspoon 's nepo baby Ava Phillippe was mortified after her followers pointed out an awkward detail about herself and her boyfriend Dakota Brubaker on Wednesday. The 25-year-old LBI Entertainment model decided to respond to a comment from TikTok user @mahriahlee which called them 'Reese & Ryan' - implying they resembled the 49-year-old Oscar winner and her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. Ava - who's named after Ava Gardner - visibly cringed reacting to the comment, waving her hands no, while Dakota looked equally uncomfortable. 'You guys,' Phillippe scoffed in the caption. 'Whaaaaattt.' However, the Kamala Harris supporter also leaned into the comparison by having the anthem from her famous folks' 1999 movie Cruel Intentions - The Verve's 1997 hit Bittersweet Symphony - blaring in the background. And Brubaker wore glasses and a black turtleneck to more authentically evoke Ryan's character Sebastian Valmont, who seduces the innocent Annette Hargrove (Reese) in Roger Kumble's modern adaptation of the 1782 novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Witherspoon and the 50-year-old SAG Award winner - who are also parents of 21-year-old son Deacon Phillippe - divorced in 2007 after seven years of marriage.
