Golden boot winner can't think of a higher accolade to win

Ramsgate legend Joe Taylor says he can't think of a higher accolade to win after clinching the SK Kits Golden Boot award for the second time in as many years at the National Game Awards in association with Isuzu.
Hometown hero Taylor bagged 48 goals in all competitions, with 40 of them in the Pitching In Isthmian League South East Division to help Ramsgate romp to the title and further assert his reputation as one of the deadliest marksmen in Non-League.
The Rams captain and record goalscorer admitted he was delighted to receive recognition for his exploits in front of the net for a second successive year.
Taylor said: 'It's the highest personal accolade I can win as someone playing Step 2/3/4 football.
'To do it in back-to-back seasons is something I'm not sure anyone has done before and to do it makes me really proud.
'The Non-League Paper has shown great support for me as someone who has played in the Isthmian Leagues for most of my career.
'There are so many good people here and it's really nice to talk to them and be amongst it. It's a great occasion and I get to sit down with something I've won.'
The National Game Awards is a celebration of the non-League season - highlighting the community, fans, on-field, and off-field successes of the game outside of the Football League.
The ceremony is held annually by the Non-League Paper, the UK's number one selling football title and the best place for your non-league news, with this year's edition hosted at Plough Lane – home of AFC Wimbledon.
Taylor recently announced his departure from the Rams in search of a new challenge but he was quick to reveal that he would look back on his time at Southwood Stadium as amongst the best in his career.
He added: 'Ramsgate gave me a call 2 years ago when I was playing in a higher league and they talked about their project of wanting to get promoted and made me captain.
'We've now just been promoted and I'm the club's leading goal scorer in their history so it couldn't have gone much better.
'I'm happy with how it's went but it's the right time to leave and I'm looking forward to a challenge.
'I have nothing but good things to say about the club and best of luck to them.
'I'm proud of what we achieved over the past two seasons. I'll look back at that as maybe the best time of my career in non-league.'

Scooter Braun claims Taylor Swift feud was a 'gift' in odd explanation

Scooter Braun has reflected on his dispute with Taylor Swift over master recordings, with his comments coming after the singer announced recently that she now owns all of her music Former talent manager Scooter Braun has reflected on buying Taylor Swift 's former record label six years ago. He's also discussed the aftermath of the purchase after being publicly criticised by the singer-songwriter. His new comments come after Taylor, 35, announced last month that she now owns "all of the music" that she's ever made. She had been releasing re-recorded versions of albums from earlier in her career following a dispute over her back catalogue. ‌ Scooter got the rights to Taylor's first six albums in 2019 when his company, Ithaca Holdings, bought Big Machine Label Group. Taylor had moved away from the record label, which reportedly owned the rights to her first six albums, the previous year, and it was later announced in 2020 that her master recordings had been sold to investment firm Shamrock Holdings. ‌ When Scooter's holding company, Ithaca Holdings, purchased Big Machine Label Group, Taylor said in a Tumblr post that she was "sad" and "grossed out". She also accused the now 43-year-old of being behind "incessant, manipulative bullying". As reported at the time, Scooter later said: "I don't do anything with malicious intent. [...] I try to do the right thing." Now reflecting on the situation, Scooter said on The Diary Of A CEO podcast, in an episode released on Monday: "When I bought Big Machine, I thought I was going to work with all the artists on Big Machine. I thought it was gonna be like an exciting thing." He continued: "[Taylor] and I had only met three times, I think, in my life, three or four times. And one of the times, it was years earlier, it was really a great engagement [...] we respected each other, we had a great engagement. In between that time, since I'd seen her last, I started managing Kanye West. I managed Justin Bieber. I knew she didn't get along with them. "I had a feeling – this is where my arrogance came in – I had a feeling she probably didn't like me because I managed them. But I thought that once this announcement happened, she would talk to me, see who I am, and we would work together. "And the announcement came out and I'm calling Scott Borchetta [chief executive of Big Machine Records] and saying, 'Hey, send me her number [...] and I just talked to this person and they're excited' [...] and then this Tumblr (post) comes out and says all this stuff. And I was just like, shocked." ‌ Scooter added: "It's been five, six years, I don't need to go back into it, but what I can tell you is everything in life is a gift. Having that experience allows me to have empathy for the people I worked with who I'd always say 'yeah I understand' but I never knew what it was like to be on the global stage like that. "I never knew what criticism like that felt like. And like I told you, the biggest gift that I got from that was understanding that all the praise I had received up until that moment was not deserved, and all the hate I got after that moment was not deserved, because none of these people knew me. She didn't know me. This person didn't know me." ‌ In 2019, Taylor announced she would re-record several of her albums in a bid to regain ownership of the masters. A master recording is the original recording of a song, and whoever owns it earns revenue through avenues including streaming and use in TV, film and adverts. To date, Taylor has released new versions of her previous albums Fearless (2008), Red (2012), Speak Now (2010) and 1989 (2014). Reputation and her self-titled debut, released in 2017 and 2006, are yet to be re-released as Taylor's Versions.

He was signed under Neil Lennon after Kieran Tierney had left for Arsenal that summer. And with the Hoops icon poised to officially return to his boyhood heroes in the coming weeks, Taylor will be heading out the door. According to The Celtic Way, Taylor's exit will be finalised within the next 48 hours. The Celtic left-back had several options to mull over as his contract with the Hoops ran down. PAOK emerged as serious contenders for Taylor and drew up a two-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months. PAOK technical director Christos Karipidis - the former Hearts defender - is driving the move. Karipidis is a big fan of the Hoops star and has been desperate to lure him to Thessaloniki. It's understood that Taylor, who recently became a father for the first time, needed time to assess the move after six years at Celtic. However PAOK didn't want to wait indefinitely and there have been other clubs in the mix for the left-back. Rangers fans react as 49ers takeover completed But now he looks set to embark on the next chapter of his career in Greece. Brendan Rodgers has always retained hope his full-back would stay and his Parkhead exit has yet to be confirmed. PAOK finished third in the Greek Super League last season and qualified for the Europa League, which they will enter at the third qualifying round stage. Dinamo Zagreb were the first club to be linked to Taylor and interest from MLS soon followed. He was even tipped for a blockbuster move to Rangers by SunSport's Kris Boyd at one point. If - or when - Taylor seals his move to Greece, he could soon find himself coming up against former boss Ange Postecoglou. The ex-Celtic manager is listed at 3/1 to join AEK Athens after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last week. Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page
