Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu's ambitious pan-Indian mythological film 'Kannappa' is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on June 27. In a recent interview, the actor confirmed that the film will feature Prabhas in a 30-minute extended cameo. He also shared fresh updates on the film's final cut and character details. Apart from Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal will be seen in cameos adding star-power to the project.advertisementHe confirmed that 'Kannappa' has a locked runtime of 3 hours and 10 minutes, finalised after extensive editing. Interestingly, even Prabhas' portions were trimmed during post-production to maintain the story's pace and flow.Prabhas plays a divine figure who plays a crucial role in the transformation of 'Kannappa', a mythological tale about an atheist who embarks on a spiritual path toward enlightenment. Despite the edit, Prabhas retains 30 minutes of screen time and shares significant sequences with Vishnu and veteran actor Mohan Babu. Mohanlal's role, though limited to 15 minutes, is said to carry strong emotional impact and elevate the film's narrative.
The makers also announced the release of the next track from the film, titled 'Sri-Kala-Hasti', which will release on May 28. The devotional track has been sung by Vishnu's daughters, Ariaana Manchu and Viviana Manchu, with music composed by Stephen Devassy. With its spiritual tone, the song is expected to connect deeply with audiences.
