NEET PG 2025 city choice window opens today. How to change preferences
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has now reopened the city selection portal for NEET PG 2025 applicants. As per the revised schedule, the window went live today, June 13, at 3 pm and will remain open until 11:55 pm on June 17.Candidates can log in and select or modify their preferred exam centres by visiting the official NBEMS website -- natboard.edu.in.advertisementAt the moment, the portal remains inaccessible due to a technical issue. Once resolved, candidates who have already applied for NEET PG 2025 will be allowed to reselect or modify their exam city preferences.
The allocation of exam cities will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, taking into account the order of preferences and seat availability in each city.CITIES REVISED LISTNBEMS recently expanded the list of NEET PG 2025 test cities to 233 locations across India. Being a day scholar, he attended school regularly and also prepared for the medical entrance test. 'There was just one solution – to manage time. After attending school, I used to complete assignments and homework, followed by offline coaching from the Allen Institute. Once the coaching class was over, I used to revise what was done in the class and practice some questions,' said Bhavya Jha. For Bhavya Jha, going to school was a refreshing activity, where he used to meet and interact with peers and play volleyball – 'a sport that could refresh his mind within minutes.' Target AIIMS For Bhavya Jha, AIIMS, New Delhi, is a place where every NEET aspirant wishes to study. 'In my opinion, AIIMS is the best medical institute for both UG and PG courses because of the faculty you interact with. Their experience and knowledge are unmatched. I have heard my teachers saying that the AIIMS environment is also good, which gives practical and ground-level exposure to MBBS students,' he said. After AIIMS, his second choice is Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER). Asked if he felt he was missing out on fun activities owing to his routine for NEET UG preparation, Bhavya Jha replied, 'No, I never had the feeling of missing out. NEET UG Result 2025: Girls' Participation Hits 12 Lakh, Boys At 9.37 Lakh
NEET UG Result 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) 2025, today, June 14, 2025. This year also, more girls qualified the NEET UG examination as compared to boys. A total of 22,09,318 students had appeared for the exam and of them 12,36,531 qualified. NEET UG Result 2025: More Female Students Qualify Than Males Once Again This year too, the number of female students qualifying the NEET UG exam exceeded the number of male qualified candidates. A total of 9,65,996 male students had registered for the exam, out of which 9,37,411 appeared and 5,14,063 qualified. On the other hand, 13,10,062 female students registered, with 12,71,896 appearing and 7,22,462 qualifying. NEET UG Result: Last Year Gender-Wise Statistics In 2024, 10,29,198 male candidates had registered for NEET UG, of which 9,98,205 appeared and 5,46,566 qualified. The number of female candidates who registered last year stood at 13,76,863, with 13,34,940 appearing and 7,69,277 qualifying. The overall NEET UG registrations has seen a drop as compared to previous year. While 24,06,079 students had registered in 2024, only 22,76,069 registered in 2025.

NEET UG Result 2025: Over 12 Lakh Students Qualify, UP Leads Among States
NEET UG Result 2025: The National Testing Agency has announced the results for NEET (UG) 2025, paving the way for admissions to undergraduate medical and dental courses across India. Out of 22.09 lakh students who appeared, 12.36 lakh have cleared the exam-slightly fewer than the 13.15 lakh who qualified last year, even though fewer students appeared this time. This year, 22.76 lakh students had registered for the exam, compared to 24.06 lakh in 2024. The number of students who skipped the test dropped as well-from over 72,000 last year to around 66,700 in 2025. Girls Outperform Boys Yet Again As seen in previous years, female students outnumbered males in the qualified list. Over 7.22 lakh girls cleared the exam this year, compared to 5.14 lakh boys. In 2024, the numbers were 7.69 lakh and 5.46 lakh, respectively. Six transgender candidates also qualified this year. OBC Candidates Top Category List OBC students continued to dominate category-wise results. A total of 5.64 lakh OBC candidates qualified, followed by 3.38 lakh from the General category, 1.68 lakh from SC, 97,085 from EWS, and 67,234 from ST. The qualifying criteria remained the same as last year-50th percentile for General and EWS categories (score range: 686-144), and 40th percentile for OBC, SC, and ST candidates (score range: 143-113). State-Wise Results Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of qualified candidates for the second consecutive year, with 1.70 lakh students clearing the test-an increase from 1.65 lakh last year. Maharashtra: 1.25 lakh qualified (down from 1.42 lakh) Rajasthan: 1.19 lakh (slightly down from 1.21 lakh) Bihar: 80,954 (up from 74,716) Karnataka: 83,582 (down from 88,887) Tamil Nadu: 76,181 (down from 89,198) Madhya Pradesh: 60,346 (nearly same as last year) Delhi: 40,331 (a sharp fall from 61,199) West Bengal: 59,018 (down from 63,251) Telangana: 41,584 (down from 47,356) Punjab: 26,394 (a big jump from 15,717) Some smaller states and UTs also saw shifts. For instance, Ladakh saw an increase with 978 qualifiers (up from 618), while Kerala saw a notable drop-from 86,713 last year to 73,328. The results now set the stage for the NEET counselling process, which will determine seat allotments in MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical courses across India.
