NEET UG Results 2025: Sharing his first thoughts with the indianexpress.com after securing an All India Rank (AIR) 8 in the NEET UG 2025, the results of which were declared on Saturday, Bhavya Chirag Jha said, 'I just knew that I need to score good marks in NEET UG 2025, but getting an All India Rank was not on my mind while preparing.'

The Ahmedabad teen, who cracked the medical entrance test on his first attempt, started preparing for the NEET UG from Class 11. Ever since then, he has dreamt of roaming in the corridors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The 18-year-old is now confident that he will soon accomplish what he thought of years ago.
NEET UG 2025 Cut off
Bhavya Jha scored a percentile of 99.9996379 in the NEET UG 2025. Speaking about his inspiration, he said, 'I was motivated by my brother, Sarvagya Jha, who is now working as an intern in the GMERS Medical College, Sola, Ahmedabad. My brother is my biggest motivator and an inspiration for me in the medical field. He has helped me with notes. He knew about the roadblocks that could come my way, and he prepared me for them. He encouraged me even if I could not perform well in the mock test sometimes.'

Dividing time
Many medical aspirants drop a year or migrate to open schools to focus on NEET UG; however, this was not the case with Bhavya Jha. Being a day scholar, he attended school regularly and also prepared for the medical entrance test. 'There was just one solution – to manage time. After attending school, I used to complete assignments and homework, followed by offline coaching from the Allen Institute. Once the coaching class was over, I used to revise what was done in the class and practice some questions,' said Bhavya Jha.
For Bhavya Jha, going to school was a refreshing activity, where he used to meet and interact with peers and play volleyball – 'a sport that could refresh his mind within minutes.'
Target AIIMS
For Bhavya Jha, AIIMS, New Delhi, is a place where every NEET aspirant wishes to study. 'In my opinion, AIIMS is the best medical institute for both UG and PG courses because of the faculty you interact with. Their experience and knowledge are unmatched. I have heard my teachers saying that the AIIMS environment is also good, which gives practical and ground-level exposure to MBBS students,' he said. After AIIMS, his second choice is Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER).
Asked if he felt he was missing out on fun activities owing to his routine for NEET UG preparation, Bhavya Jha replied, 'No, I never had the feeling of missing out. I knew that if I work hard for two years, then I will be able to do better than what my friends are doing now.' he said. The NEET UG 2025 rank holder added that he does not even have a social media account.

NEET: 3 students from Delhi make it to top 10

With the National Testing Agency (NTA) announcing the results for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on Saturday, three residents of Delhi have starred in the top 10 performers. Mrinal Kishore Jha secured an all-India rank 4 (AIR 4 ) with a percentile of 99.9998189. He was followed by Avika Aggarwal, 17, who bagged AIR 5 with a percentile of 99.9996832. Aggarwal, also the top female performer in the NEET-UG entrance test this year, said she could not sleep the previous night as the result was due. A resident of Faridabad, Aggarwal went to Savitri Public School in south Delhi's Sangam Vihar for higher secondary studies. 'I could not sleep at all last night. Then today, around 9am, my teacher called and woke me up. It was phenomenal when I got to know that I was also the female topper in the country,' she told HT. Aggarwal said her strategy for the preparation of the entrance exam included studying in phases and taking regular breaks to retain more. 'I prioritised sleep as well. I would study for one and half hours and then take a half-hour break,' she said, adding that her parents and teacher played a major role in this journey. 'My parents are both doctors and they understand the different phases and difficulties that come in the preparation period. Additionally, I really want to thank my physics teacher, as he was a great support at every step of the way,' she said. Aggarwal is also the only female candidate in the top 10 students of the NEET (UG) results. Harsh Kedawat, a student from Vidya Bal Bhawan Senior Secondary School in east Delhi's Mayur Vihar 3 and a Noida resident, scored 99.9995474 percentile and bagged AIR 9. He told HT that prioritising his health helped him perform well in the exam. 'I made sure that I slept eight hours every single night, right up to the examination day. Prioritising my sleep made sure that I was always well rested and had a clear mind,' Kedawat, 18, said. 'My parents had an immense contribution in this success. They helped me make a schedule, where I had to eat and watch television to wind down, sleep enough and also study 10-12 hours every single day. It helped with stress management,' Kedawat said, adding that his day was spent visiting his teachers, who were incredibly happy and celebrating the achievement. Talking about his future, Kedawat said that he plans to relish the first year of medical school and then start preparing for NEET postgraduation exam. According to data provided by the NTA, 63,046 students registered for the entrance test from Delhi this year, as compared to 68,139 students in 2024. Out of the 63,046 candidates, 61,199 students appeared for the exam from Delhi and 40,331 students qualified. In contrast, 66,132 students had appeared for the exam in 2024, out of which 46,811 qualified.

Happy Father's Day 2025 Wishes images, WhatsApp messages, status, quotes: Today, on Sunday, June 14, we celebrate International Father's Day, which is widely marked on the third Sunday of June each year in recognition of the individuals who helped shape our lives, i.e. our fathers. has compiled a list of the bestest wishes and messages to share with your fathers, since this celebration not only expresses our thanks, respect, and love for our fathers, but also deepens our bonds with them. You've always been the one I turn to when life doesn't make sense — your wisdom is timeless. Happy Father's Day to the one who showed me that true strength is gentle and consistent. Your love is the quiet force that shaped my confidence and my dreams. You've built a life around love, laughter, and sacrifice — and I'm proud to be a part of it. Happy Father's Day to the man who gave me more than I ever knew I needed. Your actions spoke louder than any words — and they said 'I love you' every time. You believed in me, even when I doubted myself — that faith means everything. Life was easier knowing I had a dad like you walking beside me, every step of the way. Your strength gave me confidence, your love gave me courage, and your words gave me peace. I carry your lessons in my heart like a map, guiding me through every season of life. Happy Father's Day to my forever hero — your love is my foundation. Your patience, your laughter, your strength — they've all shaped who I've become. From bedtime stories to life lessons, your love has always been the thread that held me together. I may not say it often, but I notice everything you've done — and I'm endlessly grateful. You've been my steady lighthouse in the storm — always shining, always there. Happy Father's Day to the one whose quiet presence has always felt like home. A dad like you leaves a mark deeper than words — in the soul, in the heart, forever. You taught me how to lead with kindness, listen with empathy, and love without limits. Thank you for teaching me not just how to live, but how to live with purpose. You've given me roots to ground me and wings to fly — I owe so much to you. Your love didn't need grand gestures — it showed up daily, in the little things that mattered most. Happy Father's Day to the man whose steady presence has been my greatest gift in life.

12.37 lakh clear NEET, no perfect scorers

A year after 17 candidates secured a perfect score of 720 in revised NEET-UG results last year, the top score this year dropped to 686, with no candidate securing a full 720. This year's results featured a single topper, Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan, who secured a percentile of 99.9999547. Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh ranked second with a percentile of 99.9999095, going by the NEET-UG results declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday. The entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses was held under strict vigil in May. With the top score being lower than the previous years, the NEET-UG cut-off has dropped this year. The cut-off for the general category was a marks range of 686-144, compared to 720-162 last year, and 720-137 in 2023. The top score this year is also the lowest it has been from 2019 onwards, which is when the NTA began conducting NEET-UG. While the top scorers secured a full 720 both in the past two years and in 2020 and 2021, the highest score secured by a candidate in 2022 was 715, while it was a figure of 701 in 2019. This year, a total of 73 candidates scored in the 651 to 686 range, the results show. Unlike previous years, the NTA has not released the scores secured by the top 50 candidates this year. Last year, the initial results that the NTA declared in June had a set of 67 candidates who secured a full score of 720. This fell to 61 after a retest was held for 1,563 candidates who were given grace marks for loss of time during the exam. Of the 67 candidates who had scored 720 in the results declared in June last year, 44 got a full score because they got the answer to a Physics question wrong and received grace marks since the answer they marked was based on an incorrect reference in an old class 12 NCERT science textbook. Results were then revised after the Supreme Court asked the NTA to treat only one of the options as the correct answer. This year, a total of 22.09 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, down from 23.33 lakh last year. Of them, 12.37 lakh candidates qualified. More than half of those who appeared for the exam were female candidates, while 58% or 7.22 lakh candidates who qualified were female. Among the States, the highest number of candidates who qualified were from Uttar Pradesh (1,70,684), followed by Maharashtra (1,25,727), Rajasthan (1,19,865), Karnataka (83,582) and Bihar (80,954). Of the top 20 candidates, four each were from Rajasthan and Delhi. After a paper leak last year, the conduct of NEET-UG was closely monitored by the Centre, the States and the district administrations this year, in line with the recommendations of a committee that the Ministry of Education constituted last year to suggest measures to conduct such public exams securely.
