A former Kansas City Chiefs employee and ex-NFL player is suing the team, alleging racial discrimination.

According to Front Office Sports, Ramzee Robinson filed the lawsuit in the Western District of Missouri on Tuesday. Among Robinson's accusations: "The Chiefs paid African-American business employees less than their white counterparts."
The claim also states the Chiefs "unlawfully discriminated and retaliated against Plaintiff based on his race" and "unlawfully terminated" Robinson.
Robinson worked as Kansas City's director of player engagement from 2016-25. The lawsuit states he started in his position with a salary of $35,000 before earning a final salary of $125,000.
Per the lawsuit, Robinson sought a salary review with team President Mark Donovan. Donovan allegedly rejected the request while declaring that the "Chiefs had previously given him raises."

The lawsuit further states that Donovan pressured Robinson into renewing his existing contract without a raise, and later the Chiefs refused a request from the Houston Texans to interview him for a job.
Robinson played defensive back in the NFL from 2007-09, appearing in 26 games over stints with the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns.
'We can't comment because it's an active legal matter,' Chiefs Vice President of Football Communications Brad Gee told Pro Football Talk. 'But to be clear, the Chiefs do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We look forward to the facts of this case coming to light.'
Robinson also says his supervisor, Executive Vice President of Administration Kirsten Krug, called him into her office on Feb. 15 and told him he had engaged in "conduct detrimental to the league.' Per the lawsuit, Krug "suggested" that Robinson "attacked" a white female coworker and that there was security video evidence of the alleged incident. Krug "refused to show Plaintiff the video," according to the lawsuit.

Krug then fired Robinson, according to the lawsuit.

Former first-round draft pick A first-round draft pick by Green Bay in 2018, Alexander missed two games early last season with injuries to his quadriceps and groin. He then missed a Nov. 3 loss to Detroit with a knee injury, returned to play 10 snaps in the Packers' next game against Chicago and then was out for the rest of the season. The games he missed were because of injury with one exception. Alexander was suspended for a late-season game in 2023 because of conduct detrimental to the team after he appointed himself captain and participated in the coin toss for a Christmas Eve win at Carolina, his hometown.

NFL sideline reporter Laura Okmin is leaving Fox Sports of her own accord, having turned down a new contract, she told Front Office Sports. The third-longest-tenured sideline reporter in NFL history said she wants to focus on her company, GALvanize, which teaches and mentors women sports journalists. She will continue to cover the NFL in the postseason, including the Super Bowl, for the Westwood One radio network. 'They sent me the contract. I printed it out. I sat there. It was just my voice saying, 'It's time; this is it,'' Okmin told Front Office Sports. 'I called my boss and my friend, Jacob Ullman, who I've known as long as I've been at Fox Sports. I'm happy to say he was very surprised. I would have been very disappointed if there was any other reaction. It was a really nice call, because I got to have it with my boss and my friend.' Okmin worked on a team with play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler and game analyst Daryl 'Moose' Johnston in 2024. She joined Fox in 2002 as a host, anchor and reporter and has covered more than 20 Super Bowls. Fox's Pam Oliver and the retired Michele Tafoya are the only sideline reporters believed to have worked more NFL games as a sideline reporter, according to Front Office Sports.

The Stafford family faced uncertainty this offseason amid trade speculation and stalled contract negotiations between the veteran NFL quarterback and the Rams. In March, the sides agreed to a restructured deal. "This is where we both wanted to be, and I'm just glad he gets to play for the team and the coach that he wants to end his career with," Kelly said on her podcast in March. The NFL Network reported last month that, under the new restructured contract, Stafford is due to earn up to $84 million over the next two years.
