iPhone 17 Pro launch in September: New colours, A19 Pro chip, expected India price and more
This year, the line-up is expected to include four iPhone variants: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a new iPhone 17 Air. The Air variant is said to replace the existing iPhone Plus, offering users a slimmer form factor.iPhone 17 Pro pricing in IndiaAs for pricing, the iPhone 17 series is expected to arrive at a starting price of Rs 79,900, similar to the iPhone 16. However, there could be a possible price hike due to inflation and the ongoing tariff war. The Pro model is expected to arrive at a starting price of around Rs 1,45,000.iPhone 17 Pro expected design changesThe iPhone 17 Pro is rumoured to get a significant design change at the back. According to reports from Apple analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo and Sonny Dickson, the iPhone 17 Pro could feature a redesigned rear panel, potentially crafted from a blend of aluminium and glass. This new design would mark a move away from the full titanium frame seen in the iPhone 16 Pro models. One of the reasons for Apple's change in materials is likely to be improved structural strength in certain areas while maintaining wireless charging capabilities. In addition to the new materials, leaks suggest the iPhone 17 Pro series could feature a larger, more rectangular camera bump with rounded corners, somewhat similar to Google's Pixel phones. Sonny Dickson's recent case renders also show a large camera island taking up nearly a third of the phone's rear.Another aesthetic change we could see on the iPhone 17 Pro is the repositioning of the Apple logo to a lower position on the back of the device.New colours for the iPhone 17 ProIn addition to design changes, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to introduce a refreshed colour palette. While classics like black and white are likely to remain, new additions could include a vibrant orange – potentially inspired by the Apple Watch Ultra's Action Button – and a deep dark blue, similar to the iPhone 16 Pro's Blue Titanium. Dummy units leaked online have also hinted at a sleek silver option. According to Sonny Dickson, who recently shared dummy models, the iPhone 17 Pro models in black, white, dark blue and orange are highly likely.
iPhone 17 Pro display upgradesThe iPhone 17 Pro is expected to get a bigger screen size. While the Pro model might get a 6.3-inch display, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.9-inch display.iPhone 17 Pro performance boostUnder the hood, the iPhone 17 Pro is rumoured to be powered by Apple's next-gen A19 Pro chip, built on TSMC's 3nm process. The new processor is likely to offer improved performance and power efficiency, with faster processing speeds and enhanced AI capabilities.Adding to the performance gains, the Pro models are also tipped to feature 12GB of RAM – a significant jump from the 8GB found in the iPhone 16 Pro. However, Ming-Chi Kuo notes that this RAM increase may be exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, with the regular Pro model retaining 8GB.advertisementTo address potential overheating during demanding tasks, the iPhone 17 Pro may also feature a vapour chamber cooling system.iPhone 17 Pro expected camera upgradesThe camera system on the iPhone 17 Pro is also expected to undergo a major overhaul. According to analyst Jeff Pu, the phone could feature a 24-megapixel front-facing camera – a notable upgrade from the 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the iPhone 16 series. This prediction was later echoed by Ming-Chi Kuo in January 2024.The iPhone 17 Pro is also rumoured to debut with a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, potentially offering 3.5x optical zoom. However, other leaks suggest the possibility of an impressive 8x optical zoom with a new movable lens structure for continuous zooming.iPhone 17 Pro charging and connectivity improvementsCharging speeds on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to improve, with up to 35W wired charging and support for Qi2 wireless charging. Connectivity is also rumoured to see upgrades, with Wi-Fi 7 standard across the line-up and Apple's latest modem technology ensuring faster and more reliable cellular connections.- Ends

Croatia Is Offering A Digital Nomad Visa Under Rs 10,000 To Work And Live There For A Year
If you want to live and work amidst the natural beauty of beaches, Croatia should be on your list. The country is known for its prettiest beaches in Europe, and you can live here for up to a year with a Digital Nomad Visa. What Is Croatia's Digital Nomad Visa? Croatia's Digital Nomad Visa is a temporary residence permit for digital nomads that allows non-EU/EEA/Swiss remote workers to legally live and work in Croatia. Designed to attract professionals who are not location-bound. With a Digital Nomad Visa Residence Permit, you will be allowed to live and work in Croatia as a digital nomad for six months to a year, and it functions more like a temporary resident permit than a visa. Although the standard temporary stay was originally capped (with up to 18 months and rules for reapplication after gaps), as of March 2025, amendments to the Aliens Act allow non-EU digital nomads to legally reside in Croatia for up to three years under the broader digital nomad framework, subject to updated regulatory implementation. Who Is Eligible? To qualify for the Croatia digital nomad temporary residence permit, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria: Proof of remote work in the form of an agreement or contract. You should have a business registration if you are an independent worker. Monthly income of at least €3,295 per month (Rs 3,34,215 approximately). A valid private health insurance covering the entire intended stay in Croatia. No certificate of criminal conviction from your country of residence. Proof of accommodation. A valid passport valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay. How To Apply 1. Gather all documents, including: Proof of remote work Income proof Health insurance Clean criminal record Accommodation proof Ensure you have copies in both English and Croatian. 2. Apply online via the official website. You can submit your application to a Croatian embassy or in person at the local police station near your temporary residence in Croatia. The visa fee will be as follows: If applying at a diplomatic mission/consulate (abroad): Granting temporary stay: €55.74 (Rs 5,653 approx.) Long-term visa: €93 (Rs 9,433 approx.) If applying within Croatia at a police administration or a police station, the prices may vary: Granting temporary stay: €46.45 (Rs 4,711 approx.) Administrative fee for biometric residence permit: €9.29 (Rs 942 approx.) Biometric residence card: €31.85 (Rs 3,230 approx.) Accelerated procedure total for residence card: €59.73 (Rs 6,058 approx.) 3. Once approved, register your temporary residence address within the required window, which is typically within 30 days or six months, depending on entry visa rules. If you enter the country immediately, you must register your address within 3 days. 4. Obtain the biometric card in person, which involves submitting a photo/biometrics and paying associated fees.
