Kamala Harris campaign drew massive criticism over $165,000 payments to Beyonce's production company, Parkwood Entertainment, for an Oct. 26 Houston rally. The payment was made on November 19, weeks after Beyoncé endorsed Harris at a rally in Houston.
Winfrey's production company, Harpo Productions, was paid $1 million for a live stream event she helped organize in Michigan. Harris' team also sent $500,000 to Sharpton's National Action Network, according to New York Post.
Records from the Federal Election Commission do not show an $11 million payment from the Harris campaign to Beyoncé. Trump did not cite specific news reports in his post, and it is unclear where the $11 million figure came from.

In May, Trump revisited the accusations as well, publicly asking how much the Harris campaign paid Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Winfrey and Beyonce.
The Harris campaign previously addressed questions about the payments made to Beyonce's production company and denied paying for an endorsement.
Beyonce's mother has also publicly denied reports that her daughter was paid up to $11 million to speak at the Harris rally.
Winfrey has also previously insisted she 'was not paid a dime' to participate in the event with Harris, but instead had production fees covered by the campaign. The White House has not yet confirmed if it will be pursuing any legal action against the Democrats or the Harris campaign.

Wrapping up two days of U.S.-China trade talks in Stockholm, Bessent said he also expressed U.S. displeasure at China's continued purchases of sanctioned Iranian oil, and its sales of over $15 billion worth of dual-use technology goods to Russia that have bolstered Moscow's war against Ukraine. Bessent said legislation in the U.S. Congress authorizing Trump to levy tariffs up to 500% on countries that purchase sanctioned Russian oil would draw U.S. allies into taking similar steps to cut off Russia's energy revenues. Trump on Monday shortened a deadline for Moscow to make progress toward a Ukraine war peace deal or see its oil customers slapped with secondary tariffs of 100% in 10 to 12 days, reflecting his growing frustration with Russia's actions. "So I think anyone who buys sanctioned Russian oil should be ready for this," Bessent told a news conference. Chinese officials responded by saying China was a sovereign nation with energy needs, and oil purchases would be based on the country's internal policies, Bessent said. "The Chinese take their sovereignty very seriously. We don't want to impede on their sovereignty, so they'd like to pay a 100% tariff," Bessent said. China remains the largest buyer of Russian oil, at about 2 million barrels per day, followed by India and Turkey. Bessent said he also has warned his counterpart, Vice Premier He Lifeng, that China's continued sales of goods to Russia that wind up in weapons will hurt its efforts to boost trade ties with Europe. Just days ahead of the self-imposed August 1 deadline date before the tariffs come into effect, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the India-US trade deal was 'working out very well' but hinted at a 20% to 25% tariff on New Delhi. During a gaggle with the press interaction aboard Air Force One on Tuesday (local time), Mr. Trump responded to a report suggesting that India might be preparing for 20 to 25% tariffs, stating that India had been imposing higher tariffs on the U.S. as compared to other countries. He further mentioned that all this would come to an end as he is now 'in charge.' However, Trump hasn't sent any letters to India announcing the tariff imposed on New Delhi, as he did for many other nations. 'India has been a good friend. But India has charged basically more tariffs than almost any other country over the years. But now I'm in charge. And you just can't do that. I think the trade deals are working out very well. Hopefully for everybody, but for the United States, they're very, very good,' the US President said. Earlier on April 22, Trump imposed a tariff of 26% on Indian goods imported to the US, before announcing a pause on those 'reciprocal' levies. Meanwhile, the Union Minister for Commerce, Piyush Goyal, on Sunday, stated that the trade discussion between India and the U.S. had been going 'very well.' 'India today negotiates from a position of strength, a position of confidence. It is this very confidence that continuously encourages us to make good free trade agreements... Our discussions with the United States are progressing very well,' he stated. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, during PM Modi's visit to the U.K. last week, also stated that India had been actively engaged in discussions with the US on a potential Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA), emphasising the ongoing contacts with partners in the US. During a press conference following the signing of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement, Misri stated, 'We are discussing that under a different vertical. All I can say is that our engagement is underway. The contacts are underway, and we'll see how that goes.' On July 14, a senior government official stated that India was making concrete progress toward finalising a BTA with the US, with both countries committed to following the path outlined by their respective leaders. Speaking on the ongoing trade negotiations, the official emphasised that India is 'moving in terms of a BTA' and actively 'looking at a mutually beneficial deal' that would serve the interests of both nations. Trump repeats claim of brokering ceasefire Mr. Trump also used the opportunity to once again claim credit for his role in brokering the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, following the recent conflict in May. The conflict was triggered by the April 22 Pahalgam terror attacks, which killed 26 people, and India's subsequent response, 'Operation Sindoor,' involving precision strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). He also praised India's leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for its role in regional stability. 'Look, India, they're my friends and he's [PM Modi] my friend and you know they ended the war with Pakistan and by request and I was great and Pakistan did also. We did a lot of great settlements,' he said. India had repeatedly refuted the claims made by the U.S. President, noting that it was Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) who contacted their Indian counterpart to request an end to hostilities, following which the ceasefire was then agreed upon.

Loss of property documents costs housing finance firm 10 lakh
Coimbatore: The district consumer disputes redressal commission has directed a housing finance firm to pay a compensation of 10 lakh to a customer for loss of original property documents. According to an official source, S Murugesan and his son M Prabhakaran, of Vadavalli, jointly availed a housing loan from DCB Bank in Coimbatore by mortgaging their property. Later, PNB Housing Finance Ltd at Pappanaickenpalayam agreed to take over the loan and sanctioned an amount of 22.90 lakh on November 11, 2018. As part of the process, the father-son duo deposited the original title deeds and other documents related to the property with the finance firm after executing a memorandum of deposit of title deeds. After the duo settled the entire outstanding loan amount, the finance firm closed the loan and issued a no objection certificate on November 12, 2023. On December 5, 2023, Murugesan and Prabhakaran visited the finance firm's office to collect their original title deeds and documents. In its order, commission president R Thangavel and member P Marimuthu directed the finance firm to take steps to obtain a non-traceable certificate from the concerned police station for the purpose of reconstructing the missing original documents and obtaining certified copies of the same. The commission also directed the finance firm to initiate the cancellation of the memorandum of deposit of title deeds and pay a compensation of 10 lakh, along with 5,000 towards the cost of legal proceedings, to the complainants.
