Lucas Bergvall excited about Tottenham's ‘really good squad' after winning start
Frank has used different systems in both fixtures and turned to central midfielder Bergvall as a number 10 option in their league opener in the absence of long-term injured duo James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski.

After an assured display against Burnley, Bergvall will hope to be involved in Saturday's trip to Manchester City and insisted confidence was high after a summer where additions Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha had raised the level of the squad.
'We take every game at a time, we want Champions League of course, we want to win everything but every week is a new game so we take it one at a time,' Sweden international Bergvall said.
'We know what we can do. We're a really, really good squad and last year we won 4-0 away (at Man City). It's still a really tough game and we need to be ready.'
Bergvall, 19, almost scored inside 60 seconds against Burnley and despite being the furthest midfielder forward for large periods, he relished the challenge of trying to break down a back-five.
Asked where he preferd to play, Bergvall said: 'I don't know, it's up to the gaffer. I can play both. Whatever he wants.

'It was difficult to find space against a back-five, but I feel like sometimes when I come a bit deeper and drive with the ball up the pitch, it's good.'
The arrival of Bayern Munich loanee Palhinha has added further competition in midfield, but the Spurs youngster believes he can learn from the Portugal international.
'Of course (I can learn), he's played at the top level for many years in Bayern and Fulham, it's really good to get another midfielder with experience,' Bergvall added.
Richarlison's brace, including a sensational scissor kick goal, proved the difference against Burnley.
'That was unbelievable,' Bergvall acknowledged.
'Richy has been really good in pre-season and against PSG as well, even though he didn't score, he was really strong and today he got two goals.'
Even though Bergvall has enjoyed life under Frank so far, he was eager not to compare the Danish coach to Ange Postecoglou, who brought the Djurgarden player to the club and placed enormous faith in him last season.
Bergvall added: 'It's been really good. You saw the final against PSG, we lost but it was a really good game from us so it's been a really good start to the season.
'It's difficult to compare, I don't want to compare manager to manager, but I feel like we've had a really good start, working hard every day and trying to get the team together. It's been really good.'

Burnley boss Scott Parker was without Armando Broja in north London.
Parker revealed: 'Broja needs some more work and we need to tread really carefully, try get him up to speed.
'I don't want to rush anything with him. To come into the team, you need to be physically at your optimum. We'll see where we are next weekend (against Sunderland) with him.'

Rogers' superb 2024/25 campaign was his first for Villa in the top flight and included a memorable hat-trick in the club's 4-2 UEFA Champions League triumph over Celtic.

Alexander Isak saga: Newcastle respond to wantaway striker's social media post
Newcastle have insisted Alexander Isak was never told he could leave this summer in response to the wantaway striker's social media post. Isak broke his silence amid his attempts to force a move out of Newcastle by accusing the club of breaking promises in a lengthy statement on Instagram. But the club responded late on Tuesday night to say they were disappointed at the Sweden international's message, while leaving the door open for the 25-year-old to return to the fold. A club statement read: 'We are disappointed to have been alerted to a social media post by Alexander Isak this evening. We are clear in response that Alex remains under contract and that no commitment has ever been made by a club official that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer. 'We want to keep our best players, but we also understand players have their own wishes and we listen to their views. 'As explained to Alex and his representatives, we must always take into consideration the best interests of Newcastle United, the team and our supporters in all decisions and we have been clear that the conditions of a sale this summer have not transpired. We do not foresee those conditions being met. 'This is a proud football club with proud traditions and we strive to retain our family feel. Alex remains part of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to rejoin his teammates.' Isak, who has been the subject of a rejected bid from Liverpool, was not involved in Newcastle's Premier League opener on Saturday as they failed to score in a goalless draw at Aston Villa, having been training alone after refusing to play in some pre-season matches. On Tuesday he was named in the PFA Premier League team of the season and used a post on Instagram expressing his gratitude to address his situation. 'I've kept quiet for a long time while others have spoken,' Isak wrote. 'That silence has allowed people to push their own version of events, even though they know it doesn't reflect what was really said and agreed behind closed doors. 'The reality is that promises were made and the club has known my position for a long time. To act now as if these issues are only emerging is misleading. 'When promises are broken and trust is lost, the relationship can't continue. That's where things are for me right now – and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.' Liverpool had a bid reportedly worth £110million plus add-ons rejected by Newcastle at the start of August but have retained an interest in the player despite signing Hugo Ekitike – a forward who was also targeted by Newcastle. Rangers boss Russell Martin not giving up hope on Champions League hopes
Russell Martin believes Rangers can still get through their Champions League play-off tie despite the 3-1 defeat by Club Brugge at Ibrox. In a nightmare first 20 minutes, goals from Romeo Vermant – following some calamitous defending by Gers defender Nasser Djiga – Jorne Spileers and Brandon Mechele had the visitors 3-0 up and Ibrox in an uproar. Brazilian striker Danilo pulled a goal back four minutes after the break and the home side rallied, but the Belgian outfit stood firm and boos greeted the players at the end. The second leg is in Belgium next Wednesday but against the evidence of the first half at Ibrox, Martin remains optimistic. 'We conceded a crazy goal and didn't respond to it anywhere well enough,' he said. 'We then conceded a goal from a corner which is really frustrating. 'And then it becomes so difficult and then after that, we make decisions based on desperation and anxiety, jump when we shouldn't, get played around and so the game plan went out the window at that point. 'And we needed a moment to calm down and refocus but it was difficult and we didn't respond well as a club to that because we were hurt early in the game. 'The lads showed amazing resilience in the second half, the fans were amazing the second half, considering the disappointment of the first half. 'And the tie is still open and the players feel that, they really feel that. 'I am proud of them and the first half was as hard as it will ever be and how they got through that, some of the guys who have had a tough start here, the way they played tonight, they will grow from that and we will as a group. 'So the tie is still game on so I am excited about that opportunity. 'My message to supporters is the team needs them. Whatever happens, we need them. We have to give them enough to believe in their team. 'Everyone's entitled to their opinions but we need everyone to grow together if we want to be successful.' Club Brugge boss Nicky Hayen also insisted the tie was far from over. He said: 'We knew where the spaces were. We played here in the friendly game (pre-season), and we showed also in that first half that if our players play at their best level, that they can hurt a lot of teams. 'We said before the game, OK, the atmosphere is incredible, but you have to embrace the atmosphere and not fight against it, and this is what they did in the first seven minutes perfectly, and this is the way how you can get the silence into a stadium. 'But as long as there is still 90 minutes to play, everything is possible. 'We don't forget that we are 2-0 down against Salzburg also. So we have to be smart, we have to be intelligent, play our best football, like in the first half.'
