Virat Kohli after winning IPL 2025: I have given RCB my youth, prime and experience
Virat Kohli admitted that the Indian Premier League 2025 title win with Royal Challengers Bengaluru will go down as a highlight of his illustrious career.
'This win is right up there, I've stayed loyal to this team. I had moments otherwise, but I stayed with them and them with me. My heart is with Bangalore, my soul is with Bangalore,' said Kohli.

'I've given this team my youth, prime and experience. Tried to win it every season, gave it everything I can. Never thought this day would come, was overcome with emotion after we won. This is a high-intensity tournament, I want to win the big tournaments and moments. Tonight, I'll sleep like a baby,' added Kohli.
In Ahmedabad, as RCB lifted its first IPL title, team legend AB de Villiers was seen hugging Kohli after the win was sealed.
'What ABD has done for the franchise is tremendous, told him 'this is as much yours as it is ours'. He's been the POTM most times in the franchise despite being retired for four years. He deserves to be on the podium, lifting the cup,' said Kohli.
The Indian batter applauded the RCB team and management for ending the team's 18-year-old wait for an IPL title.
'This management, this group of players has been outstanding. They've gotten the right kind of players, match winners, people who take the game on. In the auction, a lot of people questioned our tactics. But by day two, we were very happy with what we had. And we had a lot of confidence in the strength of this group.
I want to give a big shout out to this team. It would not have been possible without each and every one in the squad, in the playing XI, the management backing the players, keeping us positive throughout when the going got tough,' said Kohli.

OpenAI launches Academy in India; to expand access to AI education
The Indian government recognises that to maximise the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI), significant investments are needed in two key areas: core infrastructure and the development of advanced AI technologies, ChatGPT maker OpenAI's chief strategy officer, Jason Kwon, said on Thursday. 'As demand for AI professionals is expected to reach one million by 2026, there's a significant opportunity and a need to expand AI skills, development and make sure people from every part of India can participate and benefit,' said Kwon at the launch of OpenAI Academy in India. OpenAI has launched its educational platform, OpenAI Academy India , in partnership with the IndiaAI Mission under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. This is aimed at expanding access to AI education and tools by leveraging India's developer community, digital infrastructure, and network of startups and innovators. 'We hope to accelerate AI learning in a few ways, including sharing knowledge on how to leverage the latest AI tools so people in India can stay at the cutting edge of global innovation…and helping build public sector know-how and training design to support government innovation,' he said. Stampede deaths: Karnataka HC takes up suo moto case, SIT may probe lapses
The Karnataka High Court on Thursday took suo moto cognizance of the stampede at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday that claimed 11 lives and left about 90 injured. The tragedy occurred as people rushed to the gates of the congested stadium to see their favourite cricket stars of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team after they lifted the IPL finals cup. There were public interest litigations (PILs) and requests to the court to go deep into the case as they expressed doubts over the event organisers and the government having followed the necessary protocols before holding events of such magnitudes at such short notice. A division bench of acting chief justice V Kameshwar Rao and Justice CM Joshi said the court has received requests from several people on the subject to ascertain the cause of the tragedy and prevent such incidents in future. The court posted the case for further hearing to June 10, Tuesday. Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty said the Police Commissioner and other senior police officers were present at the site, but there was an overwhelming crowd of about 2.5 lakh people at the stadium. One of the advocates, speaking on behalf of the affected people, prayed for an independent inquiry insisting that the person (district magistrate) who was supposed to control the mob was deputed to conduct the inquiry now. Another advocate sought to know from the government through the court as to who decided to conduct the events -- the state government or the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA)? Security is RCB responsiblity The A-G, in response to a query from the Bench, said the RCB promoters handled the event and took care of the security as well. A PIL filed by Lohith G Hanumapura requested a judicial probe by a sitting High Court judge, while seeking direction to the state government and the KSCA to share details such as approvals obtained to hold the two events on Wednesday, safety measures and crowd control plans. Bengaluru Urban magistrate G Jagadeesha on Thursday visited the stadium area as part of a magisterial probe the government ordered into the incident with directions to submit the report in two weeks. Earlier in the day, MoS (Labour & Employment) Shobha Karandlaje wrote to the Acting CJ requesting him to take suo moto cognizance of the incident and treat it as a matter of public interest as it reflected a systemic failure and complete collapse of the state responsibility. 'Only the timely intervention of the court would uphold justice and restore public faith in governance and the rule of law, she said. FIR registered Shetty, the advocate general, also informed the Court that the government has transferred the FIR registered at the Cubbon Park police station to the CID with an order to form a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the charges mentioned in the complaint. The Cubbon Park Police on Thursday registered two FIRs naming RCB promoters, event management agency DNA and KSCA as the accused for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). While one FIR was a suo motu one registered by the Cubbon Park police station, the other one was by an injured person naming the three entities as accused.

Mumbai's Masque Ranked 68th On This Global List Of Best Restaurants For 2025
Mumbai's Masque has won yet another culinary accolade. It has been ranked 68th globally by a prestigious organisation. The World's 50 Best Restaurants just announced its extended list of establishments ranked from 51 to 100. Masque is the only Indian restaurant to be featured on it. The list includes restaurants in 37 cities across six continents. Masque is one of nine entries from Asia. Last year, it was a new entry on the same list, and it occupied the 78th position overall.
