Sarah Jessica Parker Confirms She Dated Honeymoon In Vegas Co-Star Nicolas Cage

News1814-07-2025
Sarah Jessica Parker has finally set the record straight on long-standing rumours about her romantic link to Nicolas Cage.
Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed she dated Nicolas Cage. The 60-year-old And Just Like That star – who has James, 22, and 16-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion with husband Matthew Broderick – co-starred alongside the 61-year-old actor in the 1992 rom-com Honeymoon in Vegas.
And Sarah Jessica has revealed the pair did have a brief romance during filming before she met her spouse in 1991. Appearing on Watch What Happens Live, host and close friend Andy Cohen asked her on Sunday's (13.07.25) episode if the gossip was true, to which she replied: 'Um, yes I did [date him]." Cohen reacted: 'Oh wow. We've got some talking to do!"
During the chat, the Sex and the City actress also revealed she was the first to say 'I love you" to 63-year-old Lion King star Matthew.
Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica recently admitted she thinks not being a 'Hollywood couple" has helped her marriage. The couple tied the knot in 1997, and she believes not speaking much about her personal life and being under the radar in New York has been key to their long-lasting romance.
Asked the secret to her happy marriage, she told Britain's HELLO! magazine, 'Probably that I don't talk about it! It really is a secret. But maybe it's because we're not a Hollywood couple. We live in New York – maybe that's good."
Sarah Jessica has also dated Michael J. Fox, Chris Penn, and Robert Downey Jr.
Not long back, in a conversation with Alex Cooper, Sarah revealed that she was never 'frustrated" by the questionable choices Carrie Bradshaw, her iconic Sex and the City character made, like having an affair with a married Mr. Big while she was dating Aiden. She acknowledged her shortcomings, saying, 'There's a sentiment sometimes that she's frustrating or she's selfish or she makes poor decisions or she doesn't manage her money well. Yeah, all of that has been true over the course of the last 25 years."
Despite all the criticisms Carrie received, Sarah believes that she is an 'extraordinarily decent and good person — an extremely devoted friend, she's generous of spirit and time, in all she has to offer."

After Kolhapuri Row, Netizens Say Prada's Latest Heels Are Juttis In Disguise

Prada recentluy unveiled its latest leather pumps. Indians online believe that the heels strike a very close resemblance to Rajasthani leather juttis. After sparking outrage earlier this year with Kolhapuri-inspired sandals, Prada is once again under fire. This time, for its new Antiqued Leather Pumps, which many say mimic traditional Indian juttis. Netizens were quick to point out the striking similarity between the so-called 'original and unconventional' design and handcrafted ethnic footwear long worn across India. Despite minor tweaks like the addition of stilettos, the shoes' pointed-toe shape, visible stitching, and leather finish, netizens believe that the pumps appear to be heavily influenced by the classic jutti. What's stirred even more criticism is the lack of any reference to the style's cultural roots. This isn't Prada 's first run-in with accusations of cultural appropriation. The Italian luxury brand found itself at the centre of a cultural appropriation debate after unveiling T-strap leather sandals as part of its Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Milan Fashion Week. Social media users were quick to point out the uncanny resemblance to India's traditional Kolhapuri chappals, despite Prada labelling them as 'toe-ring sandals." The lack of credit to Indian craftsmanship drew sharp criticism online. Kolhapuri chappals, handmade by skilled artisans from Maharashtra's Kolhapur region, have a rich legacy that dates back to the 12th century. In 2019, they received a Geographical Indication (GI) tag, an official recognition that protects their heritage and ensures rightful acknowledgement for the communities preserving these age-old techniques. That incident eventually led the brand to send a delegation to Kolhapur to engage with local artisans and better understand the heritage they had seemingly overlooked. Given this recent repeat episode, many are questioning whether luxury labels like Prada are truly learning from past missteps or simply rebranding traditional designs for global markets without meaningful attribution. As conversations around cultural appropriation grow louder, the call for greater accountability, respect for origin, and fair recognition of indigenous artisanship is more urgent than ever. view comments First Published: July 26, 2025, 15:16 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Sandeep Reddy Vanga Regrets Cutting 7 Minutes From Animal: ‘It Was A Good Cut But...'

Last Updated: Sandeep Reddy Vanga regrets cutting 7 minutes from Animal before release. Says he wanted to add them back on Netflix but couldn't. 'It was a good cut, but I regret it.' While Animal roared at the box office and became one of 2023's most talked-about films, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga admits the final cut left him with lingering regret. In a candid chat with Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda and Kingdom director Gowtam Tinnanuri, Vanga opened up about the internal and external pressures he faced just days before the film's theatrical release. 'What happened was, the first cut of Animal was 3 hours and 45 minutes, and the next cut — my satisfactory cut — was 3 hours and 30 minutes. I came under pressure seven days before release, I edited out like seven minutes," Vanga revealed. Despite its final runtime of over three hours, Animal was a critical and commercial juggernaut. The Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama, known for its stylized violence, turbulent father-son relationship, and raw emotional intensity, earned over ₹550 crore at the Indian box office. Yet for Vanga, the cost of shaving off those seven minutes still stings. 'It was a good cut," he admitted, 'but I regret it." The director said that repeatedly watching the film during its theatrical run made him keenly aware of what was missing. He had hoped to use the Netflix release as an opportunity to restore those lost moments. 'I wanted to add seven more minutes to the Netflix version. Even if I didn't finish it in 3.45, I finished it in 3.30. I regret that a lot," he added. However, when Animal finally premiered on Netflix, fans noticed that it mirrored the theatrical release exactly — with no added footage. Despite the omission, Animal became a career-defining moment for many involved. Ranbir Kapoor received widespread acclaim for his intense performance, Bobby Deol saw a resurgence as a menacing antagonist, and Triptii Dimri garnered attention for her nuanced role. The excitement around the film has now shifted to its upcoming sequel, Animal Park, which is currently in development and slated for release in 2027. With fans eagerly awaiting what Vanga calls a darker and more twisted continuation, one can only hope the director gets to share his full vision this time — no trims, no compromises.
