Here are the major General Hospital spoilers from the latest episode:
A horrific car accident severely injured Ric and Elizabeth. Elizabeth broke her leg and needed surgery, while Ric suffered far more serious injuries. At General Hospital, doctors discovered he had severe head trauma and rushed him into emergency surgery. They remained unsure if he would survive.
Lucky Spencer arrived at the crash site and immediately questioned Kristina. Panicked, she confessed, 'It was supposed to be Ava!' She admitted she had cut Ava Jerome's brake lines, convinced she was sabotaging Ava's car. Lucky quickly covered for her, ordering her to return to Charlie's Pub and act as if she had been doing inventory all night.
Meanwhile, at Charlie's, Molly Lansing-Davis ran into Cody Bell. Molly acknowledged Cody's role in helping resolve her parents' disputes and joked that he might not be as bad as his reputation suggests. Their conversation was interrupted when Molly received an urgent call about Ric's accident. She, Cody, and Kristina immediately rushed to the hospital.
Drew Cain faced a crushing blow when Ezra informed him that he could no longer legally use the Quartermaine name. At the Quartermaine crypt, Tracy Quartermaine, with Diane Miller's help, successfully stopped its demolition. She publicly confronted Drew and Councilman Boyle for their vendetta against her family. Trina Robinson livestreamed the confrontation, gaining public support.
In Toronto, Sonny and Jason tracked down the hitman who had targeted them. Though he initially claimed to have information, he attempted to escape and was killed in the process. Sonny and Jason recovered his devices, hoping Brick would uncover clues about who hired him.

Colorado governor responds to letter from Department of Justice urging end to "sanctuary policies"

The Colorado governor's office says the U.S. Department of Justice is threatening to pull federal funding and seek legal action, accusing the state of limiting local cooperation with federal immigration agents. The letter dated Aug. 13, the DOJ states in part, Under President Trump's leadership, full cooperation by state and local governments in immigration enforcement efforts is a top priority. To ensure such cooperation, the President has directed the Attorney General of the United States, in coordination with the Secretary of Homeland Security, to identify sanctuary jurisdictions and notify them of their unlawful sanctuary status and potential violations of federal law. The Justice Department put 11 other states on its list besides Colorado — California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and the District of Columbia. It also included Baltimore County, Maryland; Cook County, Illinois; San Diego County, California; and San Francisco County, California, along with 18 cities from Seattle to Philadelphia. The letter states that a response to the letter must be submitted by Aug. 19 that "confirms your commitment to complying with federal law and identifies the immediate incentives you are taking to eliminate laws, policies, and practices that impede federal immigration enforcement." Gov. Polis' Office said in a statement to CBS Colorado: "Colorado is not a sanctuary state. The Governor continues to be frustrated by this mistaken and incorrect label and the lack of transparency from the federal administration on this and many other items. In Colorado, we are improving public safety, apprehending dangerous criminals, cooperating with federal law enforcement on criminal investigations, and keeping our communities safe. The Governor encourages the federal administration – and Congress – to focus on actually securing the border, decreasing violent crime, increasing transparency, and passing real immigration reform." "Sanctuary policies impede law enforcement and put American citizens at risk by design," Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement last week. "The Department of Justice will continue bringing litigation against sanctuary jurisdictions and work closely with the Department of Homeland Security to eradicate these harmful policies around the country." In April, President Trump signed an executive order directing the Justice Department to "publish a list of States and local jurisdictions that obstruct the enforcement of Federal immigration laws" to be known as "sanctuary jurisdictions."

First Plot Details Revealed for Zach Cregger's RESIDENT EVIL Horror Movie — GeekTyrant

The first official plot details for Zach Cregger's highly anticipated Resident Evil movie are finally here, giving fans a glimpse into how the director behind Barbarian plans to tackle the legendary survival horror franchise. Shared by insider Daniel Richtman on social media, the logline introduces us to Austin Abrams' character, Bryan, a laid-back organ courier whose simple delivery job takes a sinister turn. 'Bryan (Austin Abrams), a laid-back organ courier, is sent on a late-night delivery to Raccoon City General Hospital. En route through a snowy mountain road, he accidentally hits a strange woman with his car. 'She survives—but something is very wrong. As he tries to help, Bryan stumbles into a full-blown outbreak involving horrifying tentacle-based mutations and bio-engineered monstrosities.' It's a fresh and intense setup that hints at a return to the series' horror roots. While story details beyond the logline are still under wraps, Cregger isn't tackling this alone. He co-wrote the screenplay with Shay Hatten, who previously worked on Army of the Dead and John Wick: Chapter 4 , promising a script that blends horror and high-stakes action. Cregger previously talked about the movie saying: 'I am the biggest worshiper of the games, so I'm telling a story that is a love letter to the games and follows the rules of the games.' He emphasized that while his film exists in the Resident Evil universe, it will focus on an entirely different set of characters. 'It is obedient to the lore of the games, it's just a different story,' he explained. 'I'm not going to tell Leon's story, because Leon's story is told in the games. [Fans] already have that.' So far, Abrams, known for Euphoria and Weapons , is the only confirmed cast member. However, there are reports that Mikey Madison is in talks for the lead role. Resident Evil has had its fair share of big-screen adaptations, with seven previous films dating back to 2002, most famously starring Milla Jovovich. With Cregger at the helm, though, this reboot looks to bring a darker, more grotesque vision to the franchise, much like what he delivered with Weapons and Barbarian . Cregger, who first made his mark with the sketch comedy group The Whitest Kids U' Know , made a dramatic shift into horror with Barbarian in 2022. That film became a breakout hit, cementing his status as one of horror's most exciting new voices. This upcoming Resident Evil film is shaping up to be something wild and unpredictable. If you're into mutated monstrosities, snowy night terrors, and creepy hospitals, it looks like Cregger's got you covered.
