Vanessa Feltz chat show panel wade in on Coldplay kisscam scandal - calling viral moment 'divine retribution' that CEO and HR director 'absolutely deserved for deceit and betrayal'

Daily Mail6 hours ago
Vanessa Feltz 's chat show panel shared their thoughts on the recent Coldplay kisscam scandal - and have called the viral moment 'divine retribution' that the CEO and HR director 'absolutely deserved'.
A clip of a camera-shy couple went viral earlier this week after the 'kiss cam' panned in on a man and woman hugging each other while attending a Coldplay concert at Gileette Stadium in Boston on Wednesday.
The footage has certainly got people talking as the pair quick hid from the camera when their faces were exposed.
And days later they were confirmed as Andrew Byron, the head of the AI startup Astronomer, and the company's HR chief Kristin Cabot.
Vanessa brought up the clip on Friday's instalment of her channel show Vanessa and said: 'Some people feel terribly sorry for the wife though, and if he has children's, for the children.
'I mean it's a big old deal, isn't it?
'To find this all over the world.'
The moment certainly divided her guest's opinions, with Belinda De Lucy saying: 'I don't think there is enough attention of the impact this because who knows who was behind him while he was snuggling up to this woman?
'Was it his coworkers? Did the coworkers, if they were, did they know? Who knew about what was going on between the two?
'That's quite hard I think for the wife at home to possibly feel others were in on it, or knew abut it and she didn't.
'So it is about that sort of humiliation. I say divine retribution, Vanessa.'
Vanessa asked if she thinks they deserve it, to which Belinda said: 'They absolutely deserve it because having affairs comes with a lot of deceit, a lot of lying, and betrayal.
'Not just of your wife, but also of the family unit.
'So no, he deserves all he gets.'
Before giving his opinion guest Lewis Oakley said 'I think like everyone is about to turn on me!'
He said: 'I feel sorry for them. They didn't go out courting this attention.
'I mean this happened in America.
'We're discussing it all around the world now. We don't know what's going on.
'We genuinely don't know. It could be that him and his wife have separated, but they're keeping up appearances for the children because for whatever reason they don't want the children to know yet.
'So they're living separate lives, but they are still together for the children. That happens a lot.
'He could be having an affair and stuff, we don't know what's happened in their relationship to drive him or her to have affairs.
'It's none of our business.'
The Coldplay fan who was filming when the tech firm CEO was broadcast to a stadium of people with his arm around his HR chief has spoken out about the moment - to take a cheeky swipe at the couple.
Grace Springer, 28, was recording from the crowd when Andrew Byron and Kirstin Cabot appeared on the big screen together at Boston's Gillette Stadium on Tuesday.
The couple recoiled, with Byron, the head of the AI startup Astronomer, diving out of view and Cabot covering her face and turning away from the camera.
Coldplay's Chris Martin poked at the couple on the kiss cam, jokingly speculating: 'Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy.'
Grace, from New Jersey, went on to share the drama on TikTok, before it very rapidly grew into a viral sensation.
She told the U.S. Sun she had no idea who they were, but but thought it was an 'interesting reaction' to the kiss cam.
'A part of me feels bad for turning these people's lives upside down, but, play stupid games… win stupid prizes,' she told the outlet.
The video been seen tens of millions of times in the last three days.
The couple were seen covering their faces, with Byron, the head of the AI startup Astronomer, diving out of view and Cabot turning away from the camera
Springer said there was 'a lot of talk' about the kiss cam at the show, but 'no one knew who they were'.
It has since emerged that the company the pair work for provides generative AI software to a number of major companies including Uber, Ford and LinkedIn.
Byron heaped praise on Cabot in a November 2024 post about her appointment to the firm.
'Kristin's exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory,' he said in a press release.
'She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.'
The Daily Mail has contacted Byron, Cabot and Astronomer for comment.
Byron became CEO of Astronomer in 2023, and the startup rapidly grew under his tenure including a reported 292% growth in revenue for its 'Astro' platform that year.
Before working at Astronomer, he worked at cybersecurity tech company Cybereason.
A 2018 report on the company included claims from staff that the appointment of Byron as chief revenue officer a year prior had 'quickly caused turmoil'.
Multiple former employees said Byron would lash out against staff who disagreed with him.
'You couldn't challenge him,' one told The Information, a tech industry outlet.
Another employee said where people once 'loved' the company, 'now they hate it'.
In the article, Byron denied having contentious dealings with staff, recognising that 'difficult decisions' may have 'disappointed some individuals'.
Coldplay was performing at the ongoing Music Of The Spheres World Tour on Tuesday night.

Joy Taylor celebrates some good news with her NFL rookie nephew after Fox firing

Joy Taylor took her mind off her Fox Sports ouster on Thursday night as she spent some time with her NFL rookie nephew, Mason Taylor. Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that Taylor was losing her job at the network, as her show 'Speak' and two other programs were being eliminated. Taylor co-hosted 'Speak' with Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce, while morning shows 'Breakfast Ball' and 'The Facility' were also cancelled. However, she had some good news to celebrate on Friday as her nephew signed his rookie deal with the Jets. Taylor, a second-round pick by Gang Green in this year's NFL Draft, signed a four-year, $10.5million deal according to multiple reports. And $9.6million of that figure is guaranteed at signing, according to Spotrac. A night earlier, Taylor spent time with Mason and his girlfriend, Sage, as the group posed for a selfie which was posted to the media personality's Instagram page. Taylor is the younger sister of former Dolphins star Jason Taylor, who is Mason's dad. Mason, 21, is expected to be the Jets 'starting tight end this season after the team selected him with the No. 42 overall pick in the draft. His aunt spent nearly a decade at Fox Sports before losing her job earlier this week. Emmanuel Acho, who co-hosted 'The Facility,' also lost his job alongside colleagues Chase Daniel, James Jones and LeSean McCoy. The news of their exits came months after Taylor was accused of using sexual relationships with Acho and network executive Charlie Dixon to further her career. The shock allegations stemmed from a bombshell suit , which was filed on behalf of hair stylist and former Fox employee Noushin Faraji, which named Taylor, Dixon, former FS1 host Skip Bayless and the Fox Corporation. Taylor, 38, was alleged to have told make-up artist Faraji to 'get over it' when she confided in her about claims she was sexually assaulted by top programming executive Dixon. Taylor denied the allegation. Back in January, Taylor was also alleged to have used 'her sexuality to get on a show' when she sought a spot on Acho's program 'Speak'. She denied 'each and every allegation against her', with lawyers branding the lawsuit 'a transparent attempt to improperly leverage media attention and public perception to extract financial gain.' Two weeks ago Taylor finally spoke out about the lawsuit that embroiled several Fox Sports stars in scandal, claiming the allegations left her battling 'dark times', 'grief' and 'trauma'. Much of the lawsuit focused on allegations of sexual harassment, sexual battery, negligent supervision, retaliation and other hostile workplace issues between 2012 and August of 2024. Bayless was accused of offering $1.5million to Faraji for sex, while Dixon was accused of groping the stylist's buttocks. Back in April, reports claimed Fox Sports executive Dixon had lost his job after being accused of sexual battery in two separate lawsuits.

CEO caught on Coldplay kiss cam could face £30million divorce bill - as livid wife removes her married name on Facebook

It is the cuddle that could cost upwards of £30million. A couple caught in a cosy embrace at a Coldplay concert when video of them flashed on the venue's big screen have been revealed to be wealthy computer executive Andy Byron, 50, and his human resources boss Kristin Cabot, 56. They are married. But to other people. If any divorce action is imminent, it is being speculated that the cringeworthy footage could end up costing Mr Byron a sizeable piece of a fortune estimated at £60million. On top of any division of marital assets, he is chief of a billion-pound Artificial Intelligence firm, Astronomer. The company boasts its staff are 'committed to excellence... keeping customers first' and 'stay(ing) focused' on bringing AI solutions to the world. You do not need the aid of AI to surmise US-based Astronomer must be closely examining policies on potentially distracting relationships between employees. HR boss Mrs Cabot must know the rules inside out. Yesterday Mr Byron's wife Megan Kerrigan Byron first removed her married name 'Byron' from her Facebook page online – then deleted the account altogether as people posted messages of support on to her page. Her Instagram page is also understood to have been deleted. Footage of the incident from the Coldplay concert in a packed stadium in Boston, Massachusetts, on Wednesday spread on the internet. Film shows that as the thousands in the crowd watched, and the British band's lead singer Chris Martin playfully commentated from the stage, live video was beamed to a giant screen from the so-called 'kiss cam' roaming the audience and zooming on couples. Suddenly, it homed in on the pair we now know to be Mr Byron and Mrs Cabot, who has been Astronomer's 'chief people officer' since October, on a salary likely to be in excess of £500,000. While it is unclear how close they remain to their respective spouses – with it appearing they may both live apart from them, though not with each other – they were certainly not keen to be filmed in such an intimate clinch. For a second, they were shown on the giant screen as they had been – him stood behind, his arms wrapped around her chest, with her hands clasping his and keeping them tight to her body. Both were smiling. At first. Pop star Martin – who had been widely ridiculed when he and film star Gwyneth Paltrow announced their divorce by saying they were 'consciously uncoupling' – then said to the cheering audience: 'Oh look at these two...' Byron became CEO in 2023, and last week he appeared on NYSE TV to laud his company's $93 million fundraising in its Series D, which Byron described as 'a huge opportunity' and 'very exciting' for the firm Suddenly, we saw what conscious uncoupling can really mean, and just how fast it can be done. As Martin spoke, the happy pair suddenly realised it was them caught on the big screen, and being talked about – and a look of horror appeared on both their faces. Mr Byron then ducked out of sight, while Mrs Cabot covered her face and turned round, before similarly ducking and disappearing. As the audience laughed and whooped, Mr Martin had continued: 'You ok?...oh what? 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy... I'm not sure what to do...' That may well be what Mr Byron and Mrs Cabot have been saying ever since. If they had been trying to keep their relationship quiet, that ship has sailed – with approaching 50 million views of the video on TikTok alone by yesterday afternoon. On realising they were on screen, Mr Byron appears to say 'F****** hell, it's me', with Mrs Cabot adding, 'This is awkward'. You can say that again. On X, one supporter tweeted of the apparently wronged wife's evident attempts to distance herself from Mr Byron: 'What a class act! Go Megan. Get that divorce lawyer and get the money.' The money people are talking about is that accumulated by Mr Byron in his two years at the helm of Astronomer, which is in the process of securing huge contracts globally, opening a London office as it does so. As boss, and a director, of such a start-up, Mr Byron, already speculated to have amassed at least £10million, is likely to have share options of up to 5 per cent of the firm's total £1billion value. But share options can be withdrawn. And observers note he seems to have been a particularly keen supporter of Mrs Cabot's recruitment, talking her up as having 'deep expertise in talent management and employee engagement'. Exactly how Mr Byron himself was managing the talent and engaging with his employee is now the question. On Linkedin, Mrs Cabot boasted she 'wins trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to assistants'. She added upon joining Astronomer that she was 'energised in my conversations with Andy... about the opportunities that exist here.' Last night the pair were not so keen to make public pronouncements. In a statement posted on LinkedIn, Astronomer said: 'Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. 'The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly. At Thursday night's show in Boston, a day after the furore, Coldplay star Martin continued with the popular 'kiss cam' slot between songs, but asked the first pair caught on screen, to a roar of laughter: 'Are you two a legitimate couple?' Meanwhile the Coldplay fan who shared her mobile phone footage of the original 'kiss cam' incident in the stadium on Wednesday, spreading the story, said she had little regret. Grace Springer, 28, told the US Sun: 'A part of me feels bad for turning these people's lives upside down, but, play stupid games... win stupid prizes. 'I hope their partners can heal from this and get a second chance at the happiness they deserve. My video was a blessing in disguise.' Mr Byron and Mrs Cabot may struggle to agree.
